Casting the line into the pond, Sophie was about to sit down when she felt the tug of a pom nibbling on her bait. She had expected it to take longer than that but she wasn't going to complain. She began trying to reel the pom in.

The pom came with little resistance and Sophie caught it in her open hands, holding it gently enough that she wouldn't squish it but tight enough that it couldn't escape.

He'd wandered away from the Dorm booth for a bit to stretch his legs and as soon as he felt the cold headed straight for .... well an ice box. But an ice box that had fish!
Or well sorta fish.
Either way they looked like fun and his bedroom back home could use some color. His parents would probably hate the little thing if he could catch one but he wasn't exactly known for caring about their opinions.

Fishing having given him no luck he headed back to another bit where some others had gathered for the chance to snag some really odd looking poms.

Simply had finished her test, and satisfied with her work was beaming as she decided to take a short stroll before heading back to her own booth. She probably should have been a bit more responsible and run right back, but... well... when was she ever a shining beacon of good behavior?
So instead she found herself near the icy waters Avery was watching and staring at some brightly colored fishlike things roaming under the surface. One was rather oddly colored and she took a swipe at it while ignoring the cold, but the thing snuck off back into the depths right through ehr fingers. "BOOO!"
Traps, pits, and now fish that got away. Still there WERE other shiny ones...

Well one failure was fine. There were a lot of other pretty fish things to catch thankfully, and even shrimp to use to lure it in with was provided! With a bit of a squeal she took one a few of the shrimp and lightly tied it to a hook before nodding.
Excellent, perfect fishy pom bait!
