"We still kind of need him in one piece, okay!" Mark(ette) suggested. Thankfully at some point between knocking Dakota out and basking in the aftermath, Princess Caelius had finished their perfect ice cream parfait which meant there was thankfully, a portal up.
But they text did say: whomever brought one Dakota Rainstar back to the lighthouse portal. They were still on the beach. The portal was a good thirty feet away.
It was not hard to do the maths.
OVER DAKOTA'S DEAD (AND UNCONSCIOUS) BODY In order to claim victory, you must drag Dakota's body towards the twenty foot mark!
- Any trainee can roll a 4-sided dice. This counts for how many feet they have dragged dakota's body. If they hit the 30 (cumulative from all trainees) foot point, then they win!
- If a trainee has already claimed (by quoting Nyx) Dakota first round, then any other trainee can snag him! Simply attack whomever is grabbing Dakota (however you want to carry him, hands feet, hair, whatever really), and if you do damage you immediately gain possession of Dakota.
Sample mechanic:
- Steven GRABS DAKOTA. Steven rolls a 4 sided dice and rolls a 3. They have carried Dakota 3 feet.
Suzie sees Steven and quotes them, rolling 2d8 (as a beginner trainee). They hit Steven! They get possession of Dakota's unconscious body now and can roll 1d4. This dictates how far they have rolled him.
But wait! Sue notices and quotes Suzie, rolling 2d19 (intermediate trainee). Now they have possession of Dakota, and they quickly try to scramble to roll 1d4 in their next post before someone else quotes him
