How exactly did Shikaku get IN the tree if it has no low branches? He has no climbing tools, and no jutsu to climb the tree with. He's not got the wingspan to grip the tree well for the height you want, so it is rather difficult for that to even work. ( Most trees able to grow above the height of Kumogakure are smooth wood/barked. )
@ Hikaro I haven't really had him magically deduce anything. He noticed the Raikage was a different height than before, didn't sound the same, and held a different personality, not really traits that you'd want in a leader, Bipolar disorder with schizophrenia isn't an amiable trait. So he naturally thought that it was a different person instead of drawing the off the wall conclusion it was a mental patient. He noticed David had a bloodlust in his eyes ( Something Laxus knows well due to looking at himself in the mirror months before he snapped and strangled both parents with fencing wire using Jiton and electricity, And the fact he summoned a sand storm in the middle of a bowl of sandstone blocking all wind from tearing the village to pieces. ) so he thought the kid had inner demons and an affinity for sand. Not a demon, nor a Host, just skill and problems. Heck, Laxus wouldn't be surprised if David had a bottle of Jack in his desk. That is until David admitted it, although I don't really remember that part.
If you'd like I'll refrain from reading all profiles, other posts not concerning Laxus, and OOC concerning other characters to the point everything I know Laxus would know. The only thing I've even remotely meta-gamed ( Aside from Shikaku, I had forgotten that Cobra's version set that as the D rank limit. I do indeed apologize for that one, which is why I'm eliminating it from my post. ) is knowing basic knowledge of the Aburame clan when meeting Nagisa.
EDIT:
I edited my post in the Forest, so my part of the conflict is remedied. I believe it is Kage's turn to post.

Well, darn, the only reason why Sora attempted the cloud wisp technique was because the tops of the trees were covered by the clouds gonk ... Meh, bleh, we'll just call it a mistake on her part.
On a more current note, should I hold off on my posting until someone gives the all-clear with this OOC conversation? I don't really have anything planned out yet (since I'd need to change everything with the changed location description) so I'd need some time to think of something else...
Hinote: They were replanted trees, so they would not need so long to grow. There has to be some suspension of disbelief I suppose, for this mission to work (I forgot about the replanting when I made the mission). However, taller than the clouds doesnt make any sense at all even to the stretched imagination. Although its strange that such a tall forest would grow at such a high elevation. I guess the clouds are closer in Kumo than say Konoha....
Timmy:
I checked to make sure, Laxus has never even met Nagisa in kage garb, so that argument doesnt make sense in the first place. Second, the NPC kage has no listed height in the first place, so its odd to say there is a height difference. If there were a difference large enough to be noticed easilly she would not have been chosen because that would be outright stupid. If you have read the only posts I ever mention a height difference (only a few inches), I imagine you should also have seen how that was being handled. (different height shoes, and different pillows on seats). Regarding the demon Hinote already stated the major issue more bluntly than I, but the message it seems did not go through. You basically decided he was a demon because of the "killing intent" you saw in his eyes. Which makes no sense on several accounts. Seeing killing intent is silly in the first place. David clearly did not intend to kill Laxus as he is alive. "Killing intent" is certainly not unique to demon carriers, if you had met Zin i doubt you would jump to the same conclusion (Masaki him and it went very similar to your meeting with David, except it was anger at Zin's killing). More importantly David and Jishaku both made it very clear verbally that he had a demon, and he began transforming right in plain sight. No reasons beyond that were really given. So not only were you grasping at information where it wasn't, but you were grasping at info you should have already had legitimate access to. This was the main reason I did not bring it up at the time, it is however a very good example for the point I made.
"[David] looked at me with a rage that was almost primal. It stands to reason that he had something altering him, or inside of him. I don't think a child like him could have had the pure killing intent I was feeling." -From the debriefing
Sora: No worries, just continue on. Sorry about the forest, I sorta completely forgotten that it had been destroyed and replanted. Might not have even been worth bringing up, but it seemed odd since I believe Sora, Kensei and Nagisa were on the mission to replant it. (I may be wrong)
edit: clarified a few points.

I actual forgot that the forest was replanted. If anything I could make Sora, Shikaku, and Laxus chase Kensei to the Lake (which we do not have anymore) or fight throughout the village. Maybe the market place just have the area evacuated. It'll also give a chance for a repair the village mission.
You're remembering correctly. I remember the mission as well, and so was a bit confused at the description, but sort of just tossed it in with the entire fluctuating time line that's common in rps (along with reasoning that the clouds will be closer to the ground since Kumo is located up in the mountains). Take Kensei and Sora. I'm pretty sure Kensei has aged more than Sora has in the same amount of real time.

I always try to keep Kensei the same age as me or make him the appropriate age for his rank.

For me I generally pick a birthday (David's is the same as mine) and update them on that day regardless of in game time passing. I also update for year + time skips, but I don't take shorter ones into account. I just find that updating by rank ends with silly massive leaps, while only updating on time skips leaves you aging way too slow. I mean, Sora was what, thirteen for four years?
~
@Timmy: I initially assumed the trees were of a sort that had middle branches. But even had I not, there is more than one way to climb a tree. Shikaku can easily reach up to a twenty foot limb with no intermediate branches.

Yeah, she's been the same age for several real life years, but at the same time, she hasn't really done much in rp XD . It's not strange for someone to easily have done everything she has done within a year.
I tend to just bump up Nagisas age regularly on a whim. Since she still seems too young for her personality, she is probably the fastest aging character in POTS. Masaki not so much, but I try to make sure he ages at a reasonable rate.
Concerning the trees, frankly unless he had an odd urge to drop all his equipment Shikaku has plenty of "climbing tools" on him even if he doesn't know how to climb a tree. especially since he has what is essentially a grappling hook.

Also didn't most academy/genin just you know...jump to the top of trees or just climb then like a regular person would?

I've been wanting to make a wrestling and boxing and jeet kune do taijutsu style for Kensei but I've been busy with work. I just want him to suplex people soooo bad.

@ Hinote But a technique wasn't specified for how he actually climbed the tree. I mean if it was a tree with low branches, it wouldn't bother me so much. But for the height you thought they were, Shikaku couldn't have reached a middle branch. I'm just wondering what technique he actually used. Normally I'm sure you'd have described it, but I know you were out of sorts with your tooth being removed and the pain meds and all. I'm just wondering how exactly he managed it.
@ Hikaro Yes, Laxus has never seen Nagisa in her Raikage garb, but he has met her and she did admit to being the raikage at the time. Then she turned around and mentioned she wasn't the raikage any longer so that is pretty much a signal telling him that the Raikage isn't Nagisa, so it is someone else. Laxus could have been skeptical of Nagisa's claims before, but now he isn't all that skeptical of the raikage being another person.
As for the Demon thing, isn't it rather irrelevant at this point? David admitted to it, something I didn't remember. If I had remembered that, I definitely would have had Laxus mention that. It would stand to reason that that is a crucial piece of information. If David required that they not speak of it, then Laxus could easily get away with it since he'll never return to Sunagakure. As for his conclusion... Mental trauma could be construed as "Something within another" like internal demons. If you met a War criminal, someone so far from human that even during war times they were considered criminal, wouldn't you say they had some sort of "disturbance deep within them" or something inside of them? Laxus has experienced enough bloodlust to kill his own mother and father, something not many people can achieve. If there was enough blood lust from David to equal, or dwarf Laxus' own as Hinote was implying, then it stands to reason Laxus would think David was disturbed.
If those reasons are beyond Laxus' capabilities, I apologize and will restrain myself from allowing such mistakes from happening again.
As for the trees thing, They'd have to be growing above 600 miles high ( Above sea level, not from the bottom to the top. That would simply be ridiculous. xD ) to go past the bottoms of the lowest clouds. Tree lines range from 600 miles to 5200 miles. It really depends on the climate, but I'm guessing we'd be in the lower range due to the fact we'd have a colder climate than Bolivia ( the 5200 mile one. )
@ Hado Yeah, but when you think about it, we have a limit on jumping of 15 feet in the air for Taijutsu users as a rank benefit. Anyone else pulling that would be god modding if you get right down to it. =P
@ Everyone Sorry for causing so much of a fuss, all just because of me not liking being auto moved.

Wait what? A suplex doesn't really involve jumping its just leaning backwards with your opponent and slamming them on their heads.

This confused me so much until I looked back and saw your post I'd missed...
Pretty sure Timmy is referring to your question about jumping into trees, not a suplex. (Glad you used that word though. I was trying to think of it the other day. Akura submitted it as a universal taijutsu in customs but didn't have the name on it.)
@Timmy: He jumped. We don't have a description of what kind of trees are there, so I went with generic tree. Generic trees have layers of branches, starting from fairly low in most cases. If he hadn't jumped, he could have used his grappling hook thing as Hikaro picked up on, dug in with a couple of kunai, used senbon instead, harder but possible, used his wire to create a climbing brace, shimmied if the tree was small enough, or just been a highly skilled climber and gripped the bark. I could probably go on for quite some time coming up with different ways Shikaku could climb a tree, but it's really the least of my worries right now.

The fact that David had already admitted it outright is the only reason I didn't come after you for including it in your report. By your "Interpretation" of your own statement, it is still perfectly relevant. Had you not learned of it then, you could claim to have deduced it from that basis, which is, no matter what claim you make otherwise, what everyone else is going to believe you intended to do. You wording in the report does not support "Inner demons" or being "Disturbed". Not unless those inner demons are held back by a sealing technique and come out to play with chakra and special powers every once in awhile. It might have worked with your "Bottle of Jack" line from before, implying you believed David was drunk, but that would be wrong in so very many ways. Not the least of which being the insinuation that the kazekage is a drunk.
I really don't feel like arguing about all this anymore though. So, for the sake of the peace of all involved, and because the matters have already been dealt with, I'm dropping it. But, since you've stated a desire to prevent future incidents, I'm going to go ahead and point it out whenever I see it come up, either to yourself or Hikaro, depending on the severity or relation to myself. I'm sure she'll do much the same.
Metagaming is a problem. Attempting to create situations of justifiable metagaming is even worse. The latter is what you seem to have a bad habit of doing quite a lot of.
