Well that book would be invaluable. I wish you the best of luck finding the set for a good price!
Quick question, I know the Egyptian gods are very particular about their offerings, but what about candles? I bought a red beeswax candle with Sekhmet in mind but I've not used it yet because I've been debating about the material. As a general rule what is the preferred type of candle; paraffin, beeswax, or soy?

I couldn't really tell you. I don't think the type of candle really matters. I've seen people even use LED candles.
Went digging: Found a blog that says the KO suggests natural waxes but I've never had a problem with the candles I use.

Well, I may as well give it a go. No sense letting the candle go to waste. I suppose if Sekhmet had a problem with the material she'd probably let me know...

Well, once I get back home (and while it's still summer) I'll see how things go. Fingers crossed that things go well...or at least that it isn't a total disaster...

I'm sure things will go well. Can always give her red beer too.

Very true. There is some good local stuff (or at least Aussie made) that's been floating around lately. Perhaps I should do a little more research into whether that would be suitable. If I offer food of drinks, I try very hard to make sure they're produced in Australia - as close to home as possible. I don't know why I do it...it just gives me a better sense of community and supporting local businesses. Though I do have to admit the offering bowl I bought came from Israel...it was just too pretty to pass up...dammit etsy...

I use a lot of heka with my offerings. Or I offer my writings and homework. Or when I read. But I've been using heka for my last couple offerings because Djehuty's wanted purple roses.

So, this year I'm going to be a mentor to eleven first year uni students. It's a paid job - only six or so weeks long but that's an easy extra $1000 towards finally getting a car. I meet them all on Monday and I'm really excited but at the same time I don't want to scare them off...

Considering that only three answered the phone when I called them today...this could be interesting. On the upside though, I have now been officially enrolled into Honours!
