Avery was right that she liked the Kimonos, but .. Colette liked everything. She awed some more as the car circled around her and Avery suddenlly shocked to Avery's words "It can go faster? Really? But that was so fast!" The Kimonos were pretty and all, but they weren't fast. Fast was neat. And Avery liked the car alot, so it drew her attention more..
Yuki nodded forcing a smile to show he was fine.. he'd hate to admit this weakness to anyone. So he'd fight it until it took him down.. "Uhn.. i'm fine.. Thank you." He went back to trying to control himself, soon the ache in his chest faded and he slumped letting out a sigh of releif.

Dementia laughed and nodded "I guess that makes sense. I wish I had a sister, but I have my doll and I guess that is good too." She looked down at the doll she had gotten from Santa. "Its better than the silly old feather my big brother got." She rolled her eyes then. "He carries it around all the time like it is something special. He didn't even get anything else. Santa was mean to him."
Sylas walked down the hall silently, his head down and his eyes half closed. He was bored and had a sick feeling in his stomach. He had been feeling depressed for a long time and it seemed to be hitting him worse than usual today. He had hid out most of the day in his room so his sister wouldn't see him crying and make fun of him for it, but now he wanted air and he needed to get out and see something happy. Wipeing his eyes as another tear slipped down his cheek he sighed. "I don't think the tears want to stop, and I don't want dad to see me crying. He will just get upset too."

Aqua laughs. "Sere's a total pest sometimes. That's why it's good that I'm older then her." She smiles, her head tilted ever so slightly to the side.

Avery nodded, and pointed at the controller. "He's only got the thingie up about halfway... I think Santa knew I like fast things! He's so smart!"
Avery bounced about, but the puzzle caught his attention again. "Hey, I know we didn't finish the last puzzle... but we could try and work on this one! I bet Mr. Sei knows how to do puzzles!" He grinned at Colette, hoping she would agree.

"Here, why don't you show me how fast it can go?" Sei suggested, and offered the controller back to Avery, smiling. "I'm sure you could manage it better." He leaned back against the desk. "I'm okay at puzzles. I haven't done any for a long time."
He smiled at Ritsu, trying to reassure the shy child.

Avery took the controller back, but didn't make the racecar speed around at first, instead he sort of fiddled with the controls without actually making the car go anywhere. He looked a trifle bit dissapointed. But he quickly brightened, and the car was soon hurtling across the room, and turning sharply as it neared the doors, going up on two wheels and almost turning over. Then it raced back to them, swerving to miss people as it came, and barely stopped before hitting Sei in the ankles again. Avery looked up at the older man with a impish, sly look on his face.

Spiro eyed him warily, and then gave a nod in response. He was never one to press matters.. He turned his attention back to the bandage on his knee, examining it idly, giving a small thoughtful noise.. He was actually beginning to open up to someone, conversation-wise, and he had no idea what to say. Social skills= 0. He had never really spoken to anyone about anything before.. "Do you..." A brief pause, "Do you like it around here?.." He knew Yuki was, well, fairly new. Compared to him, Colette, and Avery.. And although it was a bit noisy, Yuki seemed.. A bit more at ease around people than he was.. So, maybe he would like it more.

Sei jumped and drew himself up, putting on a teasing scowl. "Hey, now. I think you did that on purpose this time." He flexed his wings slowly.

"I was just scarin' you! I had you fooled, huh? I bet you thought I was gonna hit you!" Avery bounced from foot to foot, almost dancing as he moved away laughing from Sei's mock scowl. Then he remembered that Colette hadn't yet tried the car, and spun on his toes to face her.
"Colette, it's your turn! Here! See?" He held the controller out to her and pointed at the switches. "This one makes it go forwards and backwards, and this one makes it turn. You wanna try?" He nodded to her excitedly.
((I think if I were like Avery, I would soon drop dead from exhaustion. The boy is an inexhaustable store of energy. O.o; ))

Yuki paused at the question, the silence was just as comfortable as the talking. It was nice really.. He nodded a bit "Yes, its nice here. I guess." He was anything but at ease.. but he hid thnigs like that. He didn't want to put anyone off.. but most of all he just wanted to be normal. And normal people weren't scared of everyone..
"Alot of people.. So I never really leave our apartment on my own much.." he nodded a bit, looking around the room.
Colette squeaked when it almost hit sei, she didn't want him hurt no that would be bad. She blinked when Avery hadn't hit him and smiled, some kids might have felt foolish for something like that.. somehow she was just all too happy that it hadn't happend the thought of being upset never crossed her mind.
She blinked looking at the control "Uhm, o-okay.. I don't know if i'll get it right.. but.. i'll try!" she gave a determined look, taking the remote to slowly make it go faster and faster, until it was going as fast as she could get it, and still trying to control it.
She kept making little noises everytime it almost hit something, and then brought it back, around peacefully .. well peacefully other than almost hitting herself with it.
"Thats neat Avery!" she grinned, it was fun.. so fast too. She couldn't quite handle it when she was playing with it.. still fun though.She handed it back to him happilly.

Spiro merely nodded in agreement, his eyes fluttering to a close. He suddenly felt exhausted.. He finally spoke up, "Yeah.. I like to stay home most of the time.. It's quiet." Quiet was good. Quiet was soothing and calm. Quiet was the opposite of loud. Loud being what made him feel awkward and uncertain, and quite a bit uncomfortable. And few bothered him at home.. He could be alone. And no one hated him.. Except maybe Hatori. He could never be sure about Hatori.

Sei shook his head and hid a smile as Avery's quicksilver attention turned away from him again. He tucked his hands intohis pockets and watched. Had he ever had that kind of energy? If he had, he didn't remember it.

Steal Dementia laughed a bit and nodded. "I can tell what that is like. My little brothers can be brats but Sylas is just silent. He doesn't really make anyone notice him. He wanders like he is lost sometimes though." She frowned a bit. He can be really scarey that way.

Avery took back the controller, and said, "That was good, Colette! But... You brought your puzzle, so we should work on that. I bet Mr. Sei would help us!"
He turned back to the adult and sent his best 100-watt smile Sei's way, his eyes reflecting the same emotion. He didn't do puppy eyes, but he did let people know just how happy it would make him. It usally worked, too... at least on Rime and the other members of his family.
