Not much. We're getting Chapter 2 started. Des is trying to come up with a character.

Character is set, just need to make the proper adjustments so that it fits better.
Are we going to be making a list of important, recurring NPCs?

Think we had one posted...
Edit: Well, I THOUGHT we had one. I really think we should need one, since I plan on having a few minor NPCs stick around... mainly the Imperials on the Twilight, and the named troops of Falcon Company, assuming they aren't massacred

We've never needed a list of important npcs beforehand, partly in fact because they are NPCs... and therefore, unimportant. If it requires documentation, then chances are it would be too important to be still considered an NPC.

Which one? Aurriana? Yes, the republic needed some help And we can still have minor recurring NPCs... a list of them would too be helpful

Minor NPCs are just that, minor. Easily replaced by other consequential NPCs if needed. Major NPCs are not so easily replaced. Everyone has one. Typically such information is kept by the player, but it wouldn't hurt to list them up. And its good to see that, EK. I may need a military ally for my Knight later on. smile

Well, I mean, in general the distinction to make is easy. I'll use the two NPCs I created for last chapter, the Major, and the Sith Lord:
The Major, who commanded the ground forces on Ruuria, regularly interacted with Nightwind. He was the defacto garisson commander, but could be readily used again for other chapters, since other planets will be conquered in due time
The Sith Lord, whose name escapes me at the moment, was in charge with subverting and ruling Ruuria. Now that Ruuria is effectively conquered, he could make a good governor to keep the planet in line, until the Empire entrenches itself further, and can install a more expendable man as governor
By that designation, the Major would make a good recurring NPC, while the Sith is inconsequential

Regardless, such information is still basically privvy to the player himself, and brought out when and if required. A piece of paper by your computer serves just as effectively to remember names as stapling them up somewhere, and who's to say it's an important or non-important npc at this early in the game anyway?
Again, the need is limited if at all.

If they're recurring, I'd say they have import
And it's easier, since this is a public rp, to make the information public. Easier to have it easy access, than for someone who needs the information to PM me and wait on a response, while they're trying to post. Just my thoughts

Again, though, who besides the player in control would need that information on a daily basis? Public RP or not, the NPC still is controlled by the parent player, who will probably have to PM you the information to allow them to interact in such a way anyways. All you're doing is tossing information that nobody would ever need to use up.
And again, the RP hasn't progressed beyond chapter one. You can't have a recurring character after just one appearance. That's why it's called a "recurring" character, is that it keeps appearing. So how can you claim any NPC has "recurred" if we've barely scratched the surface?
I've pointed this out twice now, if not more. The parameters which you've defined as necessity don't exist, ergo the need is by function, unnecessary.
