Dominic swerved, building speed as he ducked down against his broom and rushed back behind Vanessa. Once he reached her, he tossed a trained eye over his shoulder and upon the beater. She seemed to be losing her cool with every second the game stretched on. He had casted a blue eye to the sky, hoping that Belle might have found the snitch by now. And then, a shrill smack cracked through the air, he twisted around and barely dodged. Chasing the rouge bludger, Dom thrashed his arm, stressing every muscle into this shot directed straight for Heather once more.

Belle gripped the handle of her broom tightly, the rushing winds ripped across her flesh. The sun glinted against her vision, nearly blinding her, and she tossed her back to the sun. She carried higher up in the field, searching for the snitch. All around her, she could hear the thwack of bludgers being struck and darted back and forth between. She couldn't focus on it, so long as it wasn't in her direction, she couldn't care less. Her priority was one thing only: the snitch.

Gripping her broom handle, she flew around the pitch, searching for a bludger. Once she found one, she shot forward, flying straight at it. Soemtimes you need to step back..... For what seemed like the hundredth time since the game had started, a hand came onto Vanessa's vision attempting to take the quaffle from her. The girl frowned again this time as the steal attempt. She pulled her broom lower to dodge it. Help was highly required from the other chasers but for some reason or another they all seemed to think she was doing well by herself. A sigh left her lips as she once again speed up.

For what seemed like the hundredth time that game, he reached for a steal. His teeth were ground together, anger creasing his brow. Soemtimes you need to step back..... It didn't seem heights would make a difference in this game like it did in the last game. That only made it more interesting. Vanessa quickly pulled her broom upward so that she dodge another attempt to get the quaffle. She was so close only a little bit longer and she would be able to score. Momentarily she looked around to find all of her teammates as she continued.

Dominic cursed under his breath, having rammed his bat into the bludger at an awkward angle and sent it flying in an off direction towards the grass down below. He grit his teeth, the throbbing pain in his shoulder started to beat into him as he rushed back to Vanessa's side and guarded her. Just then, he heard the eerily familiar sound of wood against the rough bludger. He tore a glance over his left shoulder, and with a rush of wind and color, the opposing chaser swooped in for another steal. He twisted away from formation and raced after the bludger that Heather had struck toward Vanessa. She had dodged it without noticing, it seems, good too, because he only noticed it too late. Now, he hurled all of his might into this next strike, aimed right for Dhylan.
[[[He didn't hit himself, it's 'Any number above 65 means you have completely missed', or at least, that's what i though it meant.]]]

{OOC: Heya Dante~ Just wanted to let ya know that, with all of my experience in this subject, you DO in fact get hit with the bludger if you roll above a 65. My bad! I read it as 66! ^^; But yes, any number above 65, you miss it completely and it hits you. Trust me, I've done this plenty of times.}

Fifth Year/ Slytherin Quidditch Captain/ Beater
Quidditch Pitch/ Game Vanessa was close now and she would need to have all her focus to challenge the Hufflepuff keeper when she went for the throw. Ronyo brought himself back up to Vanessa's side and then brought his hand up in the air for Dominic to see and pumped it a few times. The sign was to come in and streak towards the oncoming chasers after firing off a bludger. The line of flight was to restrict extra movement and follow the bludger the person fired so they could quickly recover if missed and fire again quickly. With a quick pull up and a dive Ronyo pushed passed Vanessa and then did another of his snap turns to fly up towards an oncoming bludger. Ronyo pulled his broom hard to spin himself vertical in a three hundred and sixty degree motion to bring his bat in with extra speed and slam into the aggressive orb and send it towards Dhylan once again. After his shot Ronyo dove in and streaked by Vanessa with just inches passing between them to give her more security for that brief extra second before she threw the quaffle, and then on towards the opposing team to break up their flying lines. Soemtimes you need to step back..... Just mere seconds before there was another steal attempt, Vanessa launched the quaffle towards the hoops. Silently she was praying that the second year would slip up and miss that she took a shot. She tightly grabbed her broom. Knuckles were turning white from the force. For some reason she seemed more urgant this shot then she had in the last game.

He would have to go head to head with his girlfriend; so this was a lose-lose situation. If he did indeed catch it, she's probably hate him. If he didn't, they would lose and he wouldn't hear the end of it.
