She twitched at the buzzing of the insects around her, bringing her arms up to her face to shield her eyes from any flying debris when the beast took off into the sky. Once she regained her composure, she flung Kintama upwards, aiming for the lowest part of its body - the legs.
Hunters gonna hunt.
Really... These Halloweeners really are like cockroaches - always had been, always will be - that never ever die out. You can kill one and several more will just take its place in the circle of cockroaches, as seen in the room where they had planned an ambush. If they survived this somehow, she was sure that they would meet again, and she would try to exterminate them again. Her priority right now, however, was the massive flying beast above them. The reason was simple really.
It was a shitty giant flying cockroach.
HP: 40/40 Damage: 2/2 = 1 to Legs

Levi moved quickly to return to find Xiu once she was confident enough about it being safe to do so. Gotta git in hits when she ain't goin' crazy thar. Levi realized Xiu likely wasn't able to follow her in getting back at the beast, not really considering right now the fact that Xiu didn't want to attack.
Red or not, in the mind of the white-eared ghoul, she'd killed-
...
Xiu piped in with an inquiry then. Was he okay? Why would she ask if he was okay? HE WAS ALIVE? Some questioning as to whether he really was alive or not sprouted, but for the most part, Levi understood that West was there.
The tatzel's head slowly turned toward the voice that was still all too familiar if not somewhat altered. Wide eyes stared at West for a moment while she considered her options. He hid on her, he tried to make her look like a fool by hiding, he thought he'd best her at trickery, he wanted to take down the beast alone like a lunatic and/or he wanted to flaunt his win at her while she fought with revenge on her mind. For his sake.
Levi had a whole new slew of thoughts- ones of maliciously damaging this boil. Right now. Stepping into his personal space and glaring into this new look of his, she wound a hand back and slapped him across the face with an open palm. Apparently she'd deemed a punch unfitting in this scenario- punches were for the enemy, but he had to have something coming.
'COURSE I HIT IT!!!
She'd been able to construct an answer at the very least, but not without a raised tone to it. The WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN was there in some form in combination with her questioning expression; however, the ghoul said nothing of it. If he was looking to get a rise out of her, it wasn't happening. Nope. She certainly wasn't upset. Although, her blood was practically boiling.
The ghoul realized her distance and moved back to stand beside Xiu, turning away from the boil to once again watch BigRed.
Damage delt to West: None. This time.

Lizzy wasn't sure what had happened. Maybe she had blacked out again. Maybe she got tossed around by the students and hunters running about while blacked out. Maybe the timezone analogy needed to be brought out again. Either way, by the time she could actually process what was going on, she had an odd dream where her friends were yelling things at the beast she refused to believe was the professor and bogeyman she saw die in front of her own two eyes.
Maybe that was the reason why she zoned out - she didn't want to be a part of that; yelling at someone who might not be able to hear you. It would only result in tears and probably a lot of heartache.
... No, she would yell too. Professor Red, Professor Red, PROFESSOR RED! She would certainly yell too - she had yelled during her initial attack, and even then, she was hesitant to attack the beast at first because she was afraid that she was somehow attacking their professor.
Their dead professor.
But Tess had convinced her that their attacks might help - perhaps it was like slapping the face of a drunk to get them sober again. Perhaps it worked. Perhaps it didn't. There was really no sure way of finding out - the beast was unpredictable, dangerous possibly... She did not want to see her friends dead and gone. If attacking was what she had to do then-
Voices.
She sat up, straining her ears to listen. That voice was familiar - so very, very familiar. For a moment, she wondered if she was hallucinating again, or if she had hit her head too hard - it still hurt, after all, although she had a feeling that it had stopped bleeding. The wave of FEAR was welcoming - it reminded her of home, and she couldn't help feeling homesick for a split second as she looked up at the sky, staring at the flying beast.
"Professor..." She whimpered, still only half-believing what she had heard and felt earlier; a 'hunter weapon'... Was that the thing that killed their professor just now? The weapon that was 'broken' and kicked into the crevice by Caelius? That familiar voice warned her that it might happen! Why did she go ahead with that plan then? Why why why?
Did she do it because she was a bogeyman and that was her duty? Did she do it for the same reason Lizzy stubbornly wanted to go on this field trip? Red was a spy, after all... Dressing up as one of those hunters... Infiltrating their ranks...
"PROFESSOR RED?!" Again, she was sure her yell would be lost to the vast amount of noise from around her, but she didn't care. Everyone else had their turn - let this be her belated response.
Too bad with the beast so high in the sky, there was no way for her to attack... No way for her to help give that 'slap' that might answer all her doubts and burning questions.

West blinked at Xiu with only a small amount of comprehension, barely recognizing her as someone he'd once shared a class with. Her proximity to and ease around the tatzel tipped him off to the fact that he should probably use kid gloves around her or suffer Levi's retaliati...
His head snapped to the side under the force of the pale ghoul's slap, and for a moment he was struck silent as he pondered what he might have done to deserve such treatment. Not that he minded. Her anger was truly something to behold. She had mostly managed to keep it in check in his company, but something was different this time. He had died and she was acting like he had done something to her personally. Unless... Had she not known where he'd gone? Did she think he had just been hiding behind a rock, watching as the world lost its color and a bunch of people got the s**t beat out of them? If she had known him a bit better, she might have understood that he rarely turned away from a fight. Had he been able, he would have been smacking that flying, mutated b***h at every opportunity, no matter who she used to be. Red had started it, after all.
The demon turned back to face Levi with a growl, sweeping his arm in front of his chest to get her out of his space. "Musta been quite a smack since it's still flyin' 'round up there no problem," he muttered, looking skyward again. Never mind that he had tried hitting it as well and had failed to make any sort of dent. Belatedly, he glanced back over at Xiu, offering her a slightly sarcastic, "'m good. How 'bout you?" as if she hadn't just witnessed him getting slapped.

((Reading is hard, guys! -slaps self-))
What was happening? What was going on? Gargantuan clapped his hands over his ear fins as the monster screamed and suddenly took to the sky. Red? That was Professor Red???
"No wanna fight you, Professor!" The swamp beast wailed a little, his tail banging unhappily on the ground. "G will share lunch with you if you come back? Please?" He was starting to get a little desperate at this point. Maybe he could get her attention somehow?
Hefting up a rock, G launched it as hard as he could towards the flying monster. "PROFESSSOOORRRRRR!" Gargantuan bellowed, anxiously shifting from foot to foot.
The rock would (unfortunately) fall and smack a fellow student or hunter in the head. It was not very effective.

Oh.
Um.
Wow. That was a pretty darn impressive slap that the wrath demon just rece--nooope, wait, maybe that wasn't the type of thing she should be thinking about.
...It was true, though. Despite the fact she was a little shocked to see the tatzel's sudden action (attack? could it be considered an attack, she wondered?), another part of her was also super impressed. Her big sister was always so strong and cool! She didn't see Levi as someone who would strike anyone for no reason, so Xiu was certain that something had happened between these two. She wasn't sure what, but--
"--H-hm? Oh, I'm fine!" The baku blinked up at West, seemingly oblivious to the sarcastic tone that his voice held. Her gaze slid past him then, moving upwards towards the creature overhead. "...I wonder...what do we do now?" Red was out of her range, but at the same time, she was still hesitating whether she should attack at all if the chance presented itself.
"A lot of the hunters are targeting the horsewomen now." Xiu commented quietly, a hint of thoughtfulness in her voice as she turned to watch the group. Hmm.

Even here, high above the battlefield it was still chaos. Her legs were deadweight, dangling uselessly beneath her as she stretched her wings to their fullest extent. Up here she had move to stretch and move about freely, but even that was short lived. The first bullet struck her wing, pricking her with its residual Fear before the metal shell fell back down into the abyss. Then the arrow, another bullet, and -- the creature growled, tucking her arms tighter under her belly as the missile exploded beneath her, barely registering the singe of heat felt through her toes. She felt ridiculous. There should have been something more to flying than what she felt. The searing pain in her legs did not diminish. It merely intensified with every beat of her wings. She struggled, the movement nearly sending her careening into a downward spiral into the rocks. There was no helping it; she would have to live with the embarrassment. Soon she had something else to occupy her time and attention. The tip of Hel's spear grazing her wing made Red growl and turn, reaching out to swat at the flying Valkyrite. She had barely turned when the needles from Lattice embedded themselves into her wing's membrane, followed by Neferti attacking her other wing. They were too small, too fast to swat and snap at. Distracted as she was by them, her attention was stolen yet again by Gale's Fear attack. The icy bullet tore through her wing membrane, forcing the creature to falter. She dropped her gaze to the ground, searching for the one responsible. Even though color was coming back, it was still impossible to tell them apart. As far as she was concerned, they were all responsible. But even then she had lost sight of them in a moment. The horsewoman Eris had summoned her own Fear and used it, forcing the flying behemoth to look elsewhere. She couldn't blink her eyes to clear them; shaking her head did nothing. Bloodlust Dante "Do not forget who you are Red, you are of HALLOWEEN!" Again, Red. Of Halloween... Halloween... The thought was dropped as a beam of light engulfed her, smoke pouring even faster and blacker from her wounds as she absorbed the additional Fear the light provided. The light was more than Fear; it was clarity. She knew what she was. Red was ready for Aksaja when he roared, twisting around and performing a barrel roll to grab him mid-air before he could perform his Fear. The glyphs on her pulsed; Aksaja could feel himself growing weaker as the Fear was drained from him.Manda For the remainder of the meta finale or until dissipation, Aksaja: -- Last Fear attack is void; interrupted before it went off -- can NOT use any Fear Attacks. -- must use a 2d6 to roll for regular damage as opposed to a Y2's normal 2d8The creature threw the dragon towards Hel, Neferti, and West. It would be up to them to catch their comrade; they were Halloween. She -- Her attention snapped downwards at the shout, her eyes frantically searching as as she felt the soft touch of sorcery. Another attack? So soon? She was oblivious to the brief presence of Levi on her back. Red folded her wings and dived down towards the ledge, unfurling and snapping her wings open. Everyone on the ledge was buffeted by the winds her wings caused; everyone felt the ground shake beneath them as the colossus crash-landed. Part of the rock broke beneath her as she stumbled, catching herself with her arms before she crushed Johan and the group surrounding him."NO!" She snarled, one long claw reaching out to quash the mid-air rune. Her voice was deep, rough, but unmistakable: it was Red. "Do not follow my footsteps! Your overconfidence will be your end as it will be mine," the colossus rumbled, head bowed as the attacks rained down on her. The horsemen had the hunters attention; good. She had some time. Not much, but maybe, just maybe enough. "Listen to me," she commanded the students she loomed over, "Run. Get away. I am to die. Find it. Answers. Home. GO!"Red pushed herself up as high as she could go, dragging her useless legs under her. Her night-black fur bristled as she growled, eyes glowing brighter as another beam of light struck her from the sky above. The smoke pouring from her body shifted; no longer was it black, but black and greyish-blue. The creature threw her head back and howled, the tongues of bright blue flames licking at her skeletal fangs as the note reverberated in the canyon. It wasn't a single howl; it echoed again and again, a drawn out note of finality. There was something different about her when she lowered her head, her already bright eyes seemingly brighter and burning with a constant light. This was no normal stance. This was a creature ready to die. But not without a fight."COME!" She roared, her voice once again Red-with-Someone-Else. The voices shifted as they shouted together, sounding as if trying to out-shout the other if they were not speaking in unison. "COME AND ATTACK SHOULD YOU DARE!"The OOC Should you choose to attack Red, please roll an 8-sided dice to determine the direction you are attacking her from. 1-2: You are attempting to attack her head on. Unfortunately for you, she also manages to bite you. Roll 1d8 to determine the damage you receive BEFORE you roll your attack. 3-4: You are coming at her from behind. Roll 1d4. If you roll even, you may roll your attack. If odd, her tail manages to knock you aside. 5-6: You are coming at her from an angle. Unfortunately for you, she manages to swipe at you with her claws. Roll 1d6 to determine the damage you receive BEFORE you roll your attack. 7-8: You are attempting to come at her from her sides or above (if you can fly. Or maybe you decided to play hero and try to jump onto her back). Roll 1d4. If you roll even, you may roll your attack. If odd, her wings knock you back. Quote: Luck you -- Red is currently looming OVER the group. You guys are already in her defenses and do not need to roll to see whether or not you get past her to attack. Targeting Red Red is NOT your traditional boss. Instead of targeting Red, you must target a specific part of Red. Depending on what part you target, it may or may not affect the outcome of the battle... Red is currently on the GROUND.Red's legs are DISABLED.If you were affected by Eris' Fear attack, don't forget to add -1 to your modifier! ie instead of -3, you must use -4! Head: -5 from total dice. Torso: -4 from total dice. Wings: -4 from total dice. Legs: -3 from total dice. Tail: -3 from total dice. When the thing landed, and gave a purely open invitation, who could say no? Though perhaps Red was gambling on it, though perhaps it was Eris's plan all along, Caelius did not take the bait.
"You are mine, Red." The first step pushed him away from the small gathering of Hunters, the second towards the stunned Halloween students, the second and he was in the air, forcing Amity students to the side as he cleared a path with his charged attack.
The third and he was on the ground again - there was not even a split second for a mistake - move when everyone else was still recoiling from her crash landing. It was over -
- the scythe weapon raised in the air, the entire weapon pure teal-
- and for a second the entire world seemed to flip a dull grey again, everything moving in slow motion. The Fear, or perhaps Insanity, around Red visibly lurched forward towards Caelius, in a last-minute attempt to protect its master. And as the arced his weapon for contact, the entire weapon began to fluctuate. The Death Hunter suddenly stopped.
Instead of a weapon in his hands there stood a misty-white figure, at first it was scythe-shaped: then the blade unfolded to long flowing hair, the pole into a gown, the feet fading into nothingness. She looked at Caelius, pulled one hand towards him hesitantly and suddenly flickered, drawing the remains of her form together to shake her head-
- And then disappeared entirely.
Stunned silence. Caelius dropped his weaponless hands into fists. "CIRCE."
The was no response, their time was up. He was powerless as well. SHOCKWAVE DAMAGE - All students must roll for shockwave damage. Roll a six-sided dice. If even, your student takes damage from the shockwave , the same damage you rolled and is paralyzed (they cannot attack) for this turn. If odd, the attack missed your student. DECISIONS - Red is grounded, clearly in pain (both mental and physical), and Caelius has used up too much Fear on his weapon - and it has force dissipated for the time being. - Red or Caelius? Or neither or both? This is quite a decision, and though Caelius is a rather dangerous element on his own, perhaps it is better to get rid of the larger and more threatening target first, after all, both are disabled...

FEAR Fluctuation:
Somehow Red's very presence is causing the Fear in the area to fluctuate and act uncontrollably. Every round, a dice will be rolled to determine what effect occurs. Some effects are beneficial; others are not.
Known Effects: 1: All attacks, including Red's, do only 50% damage! Divide all damage totals by two. 2: ??? 3: For this round, everything except Red has become greyscale; only Red's glowing eyes and runes are colored. All colors return to normal after this. 4: ??? 5: Insanity Spike! Everyone takes 3 damage. 6: The combined energies of both Fear and Insanity swirl around Red. For a brief instant, it looks as if Red's fur turned white again; but it is gone, and all that remains is the creature that was formerly Red attacking everyone and everything in sight. No effect. 7: ??? 8: ???THIS ROUND'S EFFECT 6: The combined energies of both Fear and Insanity swirl around Red. For a brief instant, it looks as if Red's fur turned white again; but it is gone, and all that remains is the creature that was formerly Red attacking everyone and everything in sight. No effect.

When Dragon!Red spoke Mandy felt her breath leave her in a great rush of air. Shehk was right. Red was very much still in there and alive. Mandy wasn't sure if she was happy about this or not, sure her teacher was alive which was great but.... Mandy didn't think whatever had happened had left Red in a good position.
What she was sure though was that this run away stuff was complete bullshit.
"Professor! I only ever really came to Amity because you taught there! It's my dream to become a Boogeyman, you where the perfect teacher. So don't say you're going to die like it's a given! And.... I won't leave until every other student has made it to safety! To do anything else would be cowardice!"
She paused glancing at Lizzy knowing the ghoul would be one of the few to get the last thing she had to say.
"Besides, if there's one thing that boat trip taught me is that even if we're ants, swarms can be deadly! You are not in this a-"
The last word was cut off as Mandy saw the hooded hunter racing towards them causing her to quickly dive out of the way. Covering her head as a shockwave passed over her she looked up in time to see what happened to his weapon.
Her grin was feral.

(( unnecessary roll XD. Hunters don't roll for shockwave )) Bix was still having trouble seeing. Spots swam in front of his eyes as he tried to hold onto Gale and simultaneously watch the beast's attacks. It came crashing down on top of some Halloweeners, it's voice warping. he saw Caelius attack but had missed his weapon dissipate due to the horsewoman's lingering attack effect. "What's going on?" It was like bugs kept flying in his eyes and he flapped at them helplessly (looking a little crazy, to be honest). The effect of Caelius's attack seemed to miss him.. which was good because he'd have no idea what happened! ((Rolling Shockwave))
Junko watched as the beast faltered and a bright, refreshing light flashed over them. "...R..Red?" Her eyes widened. Red was...Red was still...! She actually smiled. "RED! I'M SO SORRY, RED!" She cried out, watching uselessly as hunters and students alike attacked the beast. They were just doing what she'd said they needed to do: Kill The Beast. But now she felt bad. She had told them to kill the beast and not call it Red, but now..now it was...showing hesitation. It was speaking.
It was telling them to go home.
She sniffed and wiped at her eyes as Red began to speak. She didn't like what she was hearing. Red had given up? But..no! The Red they knew wouldn't just give up! "BUT RED!" She cried, swallowing hard and using her arm to rub at her eyes. "We can't just leave you! You're one of us! The Red we know wouldn't just give up like this! She's a crazy hands-on-method trainer who makes us push ourselves until we get it right! You can't just...resign yourself to death!"
Junko was suddenly shoved aside by Cael and fell to the ground, watching as he raised his scythe to attack their beloved gym teacher-turned crazy psycho beast thing. "NO!" She cried out before there came a sudden shockwave that sent her tumbling a few feet. She tried to get up but found she couldn't. She couldn't move! What the hell?! She didn't..get thrown very far! What was even..?! Junko's eyes frantically searched for Red and that human man, relieved to find his weapon gone. Thank Jack. He couldn't kill her.

Shehk stared up as the large form of Red came descending down upon them, but forced herself to not turn away, to not flinch. She stood tall against the incoming shape a determined look on her face. Her lips drew tight as the ground shook and she moved to keep her balance from the creature that looked down over them.
"Red! Is there really nothing else we can do for you?" Shehk asked. It was the one question she needed an answer to. She had been wanting so desperately for this not to be the only solution. She'd had so much hope that maybe there was a way to fix everything. But perhaps that alone would be the greatest lesson the pricolici would learn about growing up: Sometimes, things just had to break and stay that way. It had been a lesson she was avoiding in herself.
Wait, what was she saying now? "What am I looking for? Where? Tell me! Before it all ends here, tell me! I need to know!" Home. Find it. What was it? Shehk's mind planted a certain location into her consciousness. The place she would probably be best to start looking in. It was probably an obvious choice, but...She needed those answers. More than anybody else, she needed those answers.
Home. They were at home. She could find them. No, she would find them.
She reached out to touch the shape that loomed over them before the shockwave hit, turning to look into it before pulling her arms up to brace herself against it, freezing in her steps. She couldn't move against it. Even if she was trying to stand for Red.. Red was choosing death. It was a lot to handle.
"You are my hero, Red! I have always wanted to be you! It can't have to end like this!"
But there was a part of her that knew it. Her hero would die.

It was a horrid sight, to watch the creature up above slam Aksaja around the others like a rag doll, enough to make Damien wince at that contact, flight didn't seem to be a good thing to have suddenly. However the image of teh falling airborne students faded as more bolts of light began to fall on Redzilla one after another, the howls of pain was loud enough to make the hellhound flatten his ears at the painful cry.
And then the air was taken out of its sails as the creature began its slow descent, right on top of him and the group he stood next to. Swirling green eyes widened in horror as the rapidly approaching object and did nothing but pull Willow down to the ground and waited for the imminent crunch of their spinal chords.
that never happened.
with the greatest sense of curiosity, Damien opened his eyes to mere slits and took a glance at what was above and saw a vast amount of gray-bluish fur and no squished forms of students lying around. "You ok willow?" he asked quietly, just wanting to make sure it wasn't some type of death mirage. They were still alive, even more, safe under the creature that now rumbled with the tone of Red mixed with another, not in sync, but overlapping at moments. the voices struggled for dominance.
"Red?" he asked curiously, legs clattering with the choice of staying or running away toward a less occupied zone. "You can hear us again?" and was quickly cut off by the rumbling voice that spoke of things that make his eyes shimmer with rage, the disbelief in her words practically written on his face. "You're giving it up that easy? I thought you taught us better than that." he barked up at the larger monster and wanted to do nothing more than bop her on the head lightly.
But the action of doing that just seemed far to strenuous.
"We can't head back to Amity, with our tail between our legs and choosing to abandon you, no way, no how!" he barked back in finality, not even sure if his brazen actions will have him end up with an angry Redzilla batting a tiny demon dog all around the place.
and it was almost the case until he ducked under yet another shockwave from the scythe wielding hunter with a yelp .
