The Grand Melody The Mechanical Freshman  Melody looked over at the other states. They're weapons were more effective than hers. It didn't matter, she needed to get Leilani out of that thing's grasp. She stumbled back as it snapped at her and the Nordics, and held up her arms over her face as a brace for any incoming attack. Her black hair which was usually in a curled ponytail to the side had gotten so wet, that the band had slipped off and it was just down and curly. She lowered her arms and was about to start hitting it again, but then, she heard a cracking noise, and she cringed. Okay, this bird was going to die. Brutally. Its grip on her little sister had loosened, but she was pretty sure a bone had broken. And it was moving around too much, she was scared of accidentally hitting Leilani. So she just had to use Holy Magic.
She could also use her magic and requip, which basically meant grabbing her weapon from a distance. But it really took a lot of energy out of her. This was the most magic she'd ever used in a course of two days. She quickly drew a circle into the air, said a prayer under her breath, and a hole the size of her head appeared. In sacrifice, threw the whip in. She suddenly looked slightly paler. She reached in, and pulled out her crossbow. She was glad that the Heavens heard her and let her get it. Usually, they were unresponsive. Although, there were only on top of it, so she had only two shots. Didn't matter, it was something long ranged. She put the mechanical arrow in the slot and took aim. Somewhere near his legs, but not as close to Leilani so it wouldn't hit her.
She shot at the talons two times, making sure not to hit her big brother. She threw her crossbow. It was useless. Now she had no weapon. It was about time she started using Black Magic, seeing as how Holy Magic was taking a huge toll on her, and black magic seemed to be less tiring.

  The State of Tennessee

Tennessee heard his brother and abandoned his emptied rifle for the moment in favor of the tomahawks. He dug the weapons in as deeply as he could, trying desperately along with the other states to free their sister.
Tʜuɴɗєʀ βɪʀɗ
The Thunderbird screamed in pain at the combined attacks of the states on top of the injuries it had already suffered from the Nordics. It finally released Leilani, finding her to be too small of a meal to constitute the suffering it was going through to keep her. The bird flapped its wings to help it escape from the circle of warriors and began to climb back into the skies where it could attack from best.

"Come back here! I'm not through with you yet!" Andrew shouted after the Thunderbird and swore angrily at the fact it had escaped for the moment. Angry as he was, he didn't give chase like the berserker normally would in such a rage. Tennessee still had enough sense to stay near Leilani where he could protect her from any further harm. "Melody, can you heal her any?" he asked. His voice sounded more like an angry snarl as he continued to watch the bird circling about in the sky as it climbed higher.

xxx﹙And If I had one wish come true ﹚  As the large beast finally flung her body upon the ground, Leilani cried out once more, holding the side where her rib was broken as she rolled onto her back, laying there as the rain continued to beat down on her, the stinging was nothing compared to her earlier wound. She panted slowly as she closed her eyes, trying to catch her breath as she continued to wince at the sheer amount of pain she was going through. "N-Nh," She whimpered through gritted teeth, trying to rub the pain away, but it only made it worse by having her hand press against the fresh wound, causing her to cry out again. "Kaikua'ana." She choked out as she arched her back, curling her toes as she tried to stay strong, but continued to weep bitterly. The Grand Melody The Mechanical Freshman The Wolverine State was relieved when it left. She had to help Leilani. "That depends on how bad any of her wounds are." She said, clasping her hands together. She walked over to Hawaii and kneeled. Seeing her cry, it broke her heart. "Please don't cry Leilani. Stay strong." She was pretty sure that from the way she was holding the area, a rib was broken. ''I can't mend the bone, until I nullify the pain." The adrenaline slowly slipped away, and she could feel the stinging of the rain. She said another prayer, setting up a barrier around them. She gently laid her back down, so that she wasn't arched up. She very lightly moved her hand, "I'm sorry if this stings..." She said sincerely, placing her palms over the area. She didn't dare press down on it, a light aura spread over her hands. She knew that this would only take away the pain, so that she could set the bone in place, and let it mend naturallly.

I'm the nightmares in your skull.    As Leilani dropped, Christian moved in to stand as a barrier between his younger siblings and any threat that may come to them. He glanced down, wishing he could actually do something for Leilani. Maybe after she was healed he could take her back to the dorms where she would be safe. However, he didn't want to just abandon his siblings here, and he certainly didn't want to leave her all alone in the dorms with no one to take care of her. Maybe he would just have to trust that those who would stay here would be fine without him. He just hoped that his siblings would pluck the feathers from this monstrosity of a bird one by one and then slowly gut it and roast it over an open fire alive for what it did to Leilani.This is the life, you see.

Tennessee was starting to calm down now that Hawaii was out of the bird's clutches and with that calm came the sense to think about what he was doing instead of acting recklessly. Charging a Thunderbird with an empty rifle hadn't exactly been his best plan ever.
Andrew glanced back at Leilani and frowned at her condition before turning his attention back to Georgia. He could almost see the inner workings of the older state's mind and knew how much he worried. The Volunteer State didn't like the idea of abandoning the battlefield, but without anymore ammo he was fairly useless against a flying enemy and Christian wouldn't be very helpful if he was looking over his shoulder to keep tabs on him and Leilani every five seconds either.
"I'll take her back," he finally said and tried to keep the soreness from his voice as he held out his brother's tomahawks to him. Andrew's brown eyes followed the Thunderbird closely as the beast seemed to be preparing to circle around for its revenge. He'd have to move fast to get himself and their wounded sister out of the way.

Two of his siblings would be safe, out of the way, and not in the way of this bird's wrath. "Velkomin til Íslands."  Emil was off to reach Lukas' weapons that had flung out of his hands when Mathias had called him. He quickly grabbed the bow and sword before heading toward Lukas and Mathias. As he was close to the two, he felt weak and sleepy the more he ran. It was then he felt a slight ache in his chest.
By the time he had reached the them, Emil noticed what was happening to him. The Icelander, still running for the sake of his life, reached inside his bag with his unoccupied left hand and blindly searched for his medication inside until he felt a box-like substance. He quickly teared the box and template apart, took one of the pills, and swallowed it.
