Riley didn't know the student who'd just pulled the last sword out of the stone, but her eyes crescented slightly as she passed. Riley pulled the other swords out, and put them away.

Very nice job. It's not easy, you know. I do hope you are careful, it is rather sharp.

Riley settled the booth's supplies away, before leaving it in the care of Jericho. She patted him lightly, a wordless indication that she was headed off, and then gave a soft wave to the boils and ghouls about the booth before heading out.

Cat watched excitedly as Christof scribbled on his little chalk board, but visibly drooped at the answer he received. He wasn't entirely sure what the igor meant by what he has written, but it certainly wasn't what Cat was expecting.

And he looked like such a sucker, too.

Pausing for a moment to consider his options (which were dismally limited with his body locked up the way it was) Cat flashed Chris an Extra Special Smile, put on his very best sickly sweet tone, touching one of the patchy shoulders, and-

"I'll be back for you later~"

"It is a big sword," She chuckled as she gently patted Xiu on her head, "But grats! Um... Do be careful with that though." She eyed the blade in the ghoul's hands with a rather sheepish smile before looking up just in time to see Kres succeed in pulling out the sword she had been tugging at for a while now. Her smile grew as she cheered, "Yay! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself~ Do you want to go somewhere else now...?"

She eyed the sword with the undead unicorn, and then at the Baku's.

... First things first.

Turning to Jericho, she pointed at the two blades before tilting her head, "Mind if we leave this here until the end of the open house? I don't really want them to... Well, accidentally hurt anyone."

Kreszentia beamed happily at Lizzy and nodded a bit, "Danke!" she chimed as she looked over at Xiu as well, "You did vell! I am very impressed you got it firzt try!"

Really, she was impressed! She watched as the mouthless purple being passed by and she lifted a hand to wave back as her other hand kept a hold of the hilt. Kreszentia had the ability to be polite ... she just forgot how most of the time. Literally!

"It iz her turn to pick," She nodded toward Xiu, "since I picked zis location and we came here firzt." She was nothing if not fair.

The undead ghoul giggled softly at Lizzy, "Ja. vouldn't vant to cut up otherz, vould make many unhappy."

Or some could like it.

While Riley was dealing with Kallos and Christof with Cat, Jericho kept an eye on the remaining people at the booth. Though Kres had struggled some, it seemed that she had managed to get the final blade out of the stone.

"Congrats," he grinned before glancing towards the mindflayer. Nodding to her, he turned back towards Lizzy, "Yeah go ahead, just don't forget to pick them up later. You've earned them and all."

"Thank you!" Amrita turned a bright smile towards Christof, flexing her recently stitched up hand, absolutely gleeing at the headpat he gave her. Heeee, headpats! When Lizzy asked how, the little Vetala only gestured towards the sword in the stone, more specifically the blade of it, which seemed to be smeared in a couple places with the old blood. Her gaze was on the two new girls, both with names she wouldn't dare to try and pronounce, and shuffled closer towards Lizzy as shyness consumed her again.

"H-Hi...Nice to, um, meet you both. I'm...Uh..." A little pause, a blank stare, and sudden realization. "Amrita! Um. I...I'm Amrita. That's my name, yes." Wow, what a thing to space out on! Looking positively sheepish she distracted herself by watching everyone else...including the way Xiu pulled the sword out of the stone on her first try.

Whaaaaaaaaat!

"Wow!" The small girl (not as small as she, however!) managed to get it out?! That was cool! Unfair, but cool! There was more to the conversation she was sure, but something caught her attention; Christof and a very dark boil, the former looking uncomfortable. She debated going to him, but he seemed to have it under control...for now. "Umm...'scuse me..." She breathed out as if it were an afterthought, walking away from the group of ghouls (and Jericho) to approach Christof, a small backwards hand moving to touch his arm, hoping to get his attention.

"Are you okay...?"

Despite Riley's words, the slight haunt still trembled a bit when the mindflayer touched his hand. Her words did have a convincing tone to them, as if to lull him into false security, and it was true that the Academy probably wouldn't have let her enroll if she had been a serious threat to student or staff safety... Kallos suddenly imagined the scene how it would be if they were all animals. A trembling, frightened black-and-white chicken being stalked and 'soothed' by a purple fox.

Well, that was about accurate of how he was still feeling. When she mentioned that she hadn't eaten any students and planned not to, the tense haunt gave a shaky nod.

But then she laughed. If the ghost had had a beating heart still, it probably would have stopped right then and there. She was laughing. Laughing. And it scared him. A lot.

When she 'confided' in him (of sorts, anyway) about how she also remembered everything she'd...aquired, and had it in her mind, Kallos' eyes had a bit of a curious glint to them, past all the terror he was still feeling. ...Alike? That was probably the only thing he had in common with this mindflayer, besides that if she knew information like that, then she probably had a thirst for knowledge.

But the fact that she already had a system of information available to her, somewhere in her mind... Kallos felt his chances of survival through usefulness dwindling. At least he'd calmed down enough at this point that his brain wasn't completely "SANJLSAHDSLKADJABD"-ing anymore. Now it was just a wave of fear as opposed to a roar of it.

Well, that was the case until she brushed his forehead. Then it had become more of a tidal wave of fear again. Her statement of eating information's containers came right back to his mind, automatically knowing she was talking about brains. (After all, that had been a bit of the truth of the Tome, AND the Igor had already offered her a brain eariler.) Just her hands being so near his mind made the haunt give a shiver as the Mindflayer had stood.

Her words should have been a soothing balm on his frazzled nerves, but they didn't fully do their job. He was still terrified of the tentacled ghoul. A-at least he knew she couldn't eat him at the Open House while he was still tangible (dsnakads visitor's pass, why do you taunt him so??)...could she? She'd need a way of disposing of the body...Kallos shoot his head a bit after she had stood, trying to knock those thoughts from his mind. He couldn't afford to think like that if he didn't want to pass out from fear. As Riley said her last words (both of him maybe needing some time to calm and that she was going to go play some games), Kallos gave a shivering nod.

And then, she was gone. Kallos, if he had needed to, could finally breath again, so to speak.

Anyone else in his position probably would have sprang out of the chair and RUN RUN RUN RUN for his life, and try to find somewhere else to hide.

But do you know what Kallos did?

He sat there in the chair. He knew he couldn't outrun her and if he hid, he would just anger her when she eventually found him. Because he knew she would eventually find him. (No self-confidence, right there.)

Perhaps his brain's analogy eariler had been a bit more spot on than he had realized. He was 'chicken' (metaphorically of course), after all.

With a shivering sigh, he pulled his notebook out of the thin backpack he had stored it in eariler over at the Desu-pink-booth. Even in his frazzled state of mind, he still flipped through the pages expertly before finding a suitable page. Pulling out one of his spare pens (not being able to write as he usually did was most inconvenient, but he could deal with it), he started to sketch out the outlines of the club area, his mind picking out escape routes even though it knew he would never have the courage to use them. Under the sketch came a 'log' of sorts, an informational entry more of. The general gist of it was that some mindflayer information was not accurate and must be replaced, although he did not know which information it was. He'd have to eat this entry later, as he didn't know if his memory would pick it up while he was wearing the visitor pass, and he didn't really want to try right at this moment.

And as such, the slight calligraphy pen haunt simply sat and recorded information (including general discriptions of those he had seen running the booth and their generally displayed personalities, etc, etc). There was really just...nothing else he thought he could do at this point. If he was going to do something before he eventually might die (again), it was going to be something he liked doing, and he liked recording things, so there.

Amrita stopped, hand still on Christof's shoulder, taking a note of something in the distance. It was a booth. A mostly empty booth with boxes on it. Oh Jackin' Mary she forgot about that!

"UH! I..I'm so sorry but I have to...um! Go." Flailing unhappily she took off towards the (for now) empty booth, frantically getting set up. Oh Jack Oh Jack Oh Jack Mei was gonna kill her!

Christof relaxed a bit as the Cat Boil wandered off- although he had a feeling their confrontations weren't at an end. Oh boy. With a sigh, he began to make his way back to the others when Amrita stopped him, and his smile returned for a moment before the ghoul had to leave... he watched her go, brows raising as he spotted the Arts and Crafts booth across the way- ah! Well, a bit of responsibility would be good for her... er... flakyness? Hopefully. He'd have to stop by to check on her later.

Content to sit until Mistress needed him again, he turned just in time to see her whisk away yet again... without summoning him. He shifted from foot to foot, tempted to lurk after her but chances were he'd just get lost again. Or in the way. Well, Jericho seemed to have things under control here, and there was no room for a useless Igor. With a dejected sigh, he wondered if smashing more of those cute and cuddly things at that horrifying rainbow booth would help ease his growing agitation. Better to smack bunnies than Dragons, as far as Mistress was concerned.

She had told him to be more social anyway, right? He wouldn't be abandoning his post to wander off for a bit, would he?

Hopefully not.

The booth had fallen rather quiet once more as most of the others left to deal with the other booths in the area. Jericho just took a seat at the front while idly looking about and thinking to himself. He should have brought a DS or something. That way he'd have something to do during the downtimes. Well, hopefully the others were having fun at least.

Looking back at the crates behind, he had to wonder what else was planned during the open house. Hm.

"Good job! A-and thank you!" While the first part had been directed to Kres, who had had managed to draw her stubborn sword out, the second part was directed to both of the girls. "I'm sure it was just a fluke--maybe my sword wasn't stuck in as deeply?--but..." But she was pleased, and it was easy to tell just by taking in her small smile and her slightly flushed cheeks. When she overheard the other ghoul's--the one who had introduced herself as Amrita--little exclamation as well, her smile grew a bit larger and her blush became a tint darker.

It came as such a relief when Jericho agreed to Lizzy's suggestion of leaving the swords behind for now. When the mention of where to go next had been brought up, the baku's only concern had been how she would have to drag the sword from place to place. With that dilemma now out of the way, she was left trying to come up with their next destination.

"W-well, there are a lot of other booths," she said softly, putting her sword down at the side of the booth and taking up her other prizes again, "And I think there's one for...art? Arts and crafts, or something? If you guys are up for it, then maybe--Mot didn't follow us?" Xiu suddenly blinked, glancing around at their little group. Oops.

It was a while before Riley returned to the booth. The sugar-high was gone, as was her calm. She looked absolutely enraged, and as soon as she made it to the booth, she shoo'd Kallos out of her chair.

Outoutout, she muttered, waving her hands and practically picking the poor boil up out of it so she could sit back down. She was in no mood to play hostess at this point - no, she was only in the mood to hide behind her booth and try - TRY - to calm down.

Everything she'd considered stable was crumbling around her as one, single thing rippled into a myriad of questions and doubts.

She had been right from the beginning. Relationships were dangerous, harmful things.

Something wasn't right in the air. Furrowing his brow, Jericho looked around and before too long he saw Riley coming back. The sugar rush was gone. He could tell that much, but she seemed to be inflicted with something much worse. It didn't seem like a crash either.

Frowning, he got up and out of his chair and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey.. what's wrong?" he asked. A part of him had to wonder if she had run into Calder or someone equally unsavory. Perhaps Christof had smacked someone. Or maybe it was something completely different.

EVERYTHING. She barked out. EVERYTHING IS WRONG. Nothing is right, and everything is wrong.

And then she fell silent. She knew she shouldn't take her anger out on Jericho, but it was hard to curb herself right now. She decided it would probably be for the best if she just didn't speak for a while.

Jericho knew she was angry. But he didn't expect her to bark out like that and he visibly cringed from the sudden noise in his mind. Someone screaming into his brain was probably something he would never fully get used to. Once he recovered from that, he frowned.

Silently, he stepped away but only so he could pull his chair closer to sit next to Riley.
