Jericho couldn't help but shoot a glare towards both Aksaja and Siddie as they managed defective things. There was no point in blaming the damn guns when but they weren't defective either.

"I don't know what the hell is up with our game but we are not defective," he growled before glancing towards Damien. Judging the tone of voice and the shift in his eyes, it was Melas who was dominant here.

"Yeah. We'll get them alright," He said lowly. The dragon wasn't raging, but he certainly was not pleased in the slightest. This was the second game where they were practically swept. Jericho probably wouldn't be so agitated if the matches were at least close ones!

"If allowed, we're teaming up again tomorrow right?" he growled again. It seemed they made a pretty decent team and they had manage to wipe the trenches with NAP bodies when they last did that.

Glancing at Riley, he could sense the amount of anger she held and it was starting to seep into himself. However, it seemed that now wasn't the time to see if he could calm her down. Once she was done with her business with Bul, he could do that, but for now, he went on and left the tent, glancing back at Demi to see if he was coming along.

Aksaja's eyes lit up a bit at the mention of an all-out game. He hoped they'd be allowed to fly . . . but he knew how unlikely that was. Still, THAT kind of game was what he'd wanted from the start. "Don't worry Riley," the lightning dragon growled, glancing around at the rest of the club.

"No way we can lose tomorrow. No. Jacking. Way." With that, he nudged the gun a last time with his foot for good measure and turned to leave the tent. Defective guns or no, they were NOT losing.

Well another round of paintballing was not surprising, seeing as they had been going at it for a long time now... but one big match the next day? Maybe he'd be able to redeem himse-

Except you.

Hm.. Maybe he'd be able to watch from the sidelines in a wheelchair.

He'd wait for the others to leave, hoping none of them would give him any extra bother about how ******** he was... still NONE of them but those that watched knew what had happened- if they were paying attention of course. Perhaps Mei would hardly have half a half beast to talk to in the next few hours.

Siddie nodded stiffly to Riley, got up, and stalked out without another word. A shower was in order, clean clothes, and something to eat. And possibly bursting into tears all over Sammy's shoulder, but that last would certainly not be in public.

Bul's voice brought molten amber eyes back to the other monster, glowing a little brighter as he narrowed them to slits, bewildered. Bul hadn't done any worse than he or Siddie had. So why was he implying that it was only him that was sucking? None of the three of them had taken out anyone at all, something that seemingly had gotten under at least Siddie and his skins pretty good. He could respect that about her, it was something they shared that he hadn't realized before. Although his attitude didn't change, he saw her a little differently now... he'd definitely be much more interested in her now. She was cool in his book.

Except right now, he was in no mood to say it.

The skinwalker growled at her hiss, leaning a little farther forward in his chair at her comment, although he couldn't think of anything to say in return. Really, what was there to say?

Nuk jolted visibly as Riley's hand rested on his shoulder, jerking a bit as if to pull out of her grip automatically before he realized who it was, although he didn't settle. Instead, he just stared at her, muscles in his arms clenching and unclenching visibly at the sound of her anger in the tone in their minds, only fueling his own, despite how she was not, in fact, reaming them as he'd initially thought. It didn't make it worse -- things definitely would have been worse if she had -- but there was no way a hand on his shoulder was going to put him at ease, even if it was her. Instead, he merely stood, barely glancing down at the wood that splintered beneath her hand, the low, rumbling growl echoing huskily from his chest as he looked at her, almost defying her. It was there, in his eyes as he looked at her, not caring if she looked back at him, or acknowledged him at all really, defiance that was deep-seeded and had nothing to do with her or even Bul, really.

It took a few seconds, but he finally looked away, stalking out of the tent and lashing out at the flap on his way out, pausing just outside.

Riley waited until absolutely everyone had left the tent, before her eyes finally fell on Bul. There they stayed, watching him. Silently. For an entire minutes length.

Then, they tilted upwards in lieu of a smile. It was the kind of smile children watched their nightmares make just before they were greedily gobbled up. There was no joy in that smile.

Come here, Unstabul. She had never used his full name before. Her voice sounded harmonic, almost musical. Dissonant, but musical. Like a badly placed A sharp. Come, sit beside me. I know you know why I've asked you here. So come, talk to me about it. After all, everyone deserves a chance to explain themselves.

A massive match with the lot of them. Demi would give it to Nap, they had the ability to work strategy with a small team. looking around the tent, at Aksaja and the one named Siddie, blaming the bad fortunes on the suggested faulty equipment. He never realized they were such experts on how the equipment should work. "The equiptment isn't broken, and frankly blaming the guns sounds like a poor excuse." he grumbled out before turning back to the dragon.

"We better get them." he muttered to the dragon. "If we get the chance to, we're teaming up." he said with all the conviction he could muster in his voice.

"Except you" Oh....... Demi was glad he knew when to take a hint. He was getting out of shouting range, hopefully mindflayer screaming range too. "Let's get outta here Jericho." he quipped to the red dragon before placing a hand on Bul's shoulder and gave him a light squeeze. "We'll talk later" he told him quietly and then ran off out of the tent as fast as his feet could get him to go.

((plz consider this post before Riley talked to Bul alone, Nio and I had a snafu with our posts))

Watching everyone leave was like watching the grains of sand in the hourglass of life slowly trickle to nothing. That infamous lump formed in the boil's throat while his time ticked until he was now the center of Riley's attention.

Hesitant, but not continuously so, Bul sidled his way over towards the fitness club leader, watching her figure for any hint or warning of physical attack. His nostrils flared nervously as he sat and kept his posture very straight and non submissive. "Yea.. I know," he began.

"I didn't shoot at Mei when she was in sight. I couldn't shoot," Bul said bluntly. There was no point in lying otherwise he'd be a total puss.

Her musical tone was gone, but she made no physical move. In fact, seeing as she didn't need to move when she spoke, Riley was all but a statue sitting beside Bul, staring sharply at him.

Why?

One, single word, enigmatically spoken. She already knew what he'd done, she was interested in the reason, before consequences were given.
PostPosted: Mon May 30, 2011 10:41 pm

Why?

For one, Bul had no idea that Mei was even on the NAP team, let alone in the club altogether. To say that was the sole reason he hesitated was a crock of s**t. Bul had in fact been pitted against the living doll before in a more round about sense- nearly throttling her on the island convinced she was in cahoots with the reapers. Over the course of time after the Scarentine party the boil had grown overly fond of the living doll.

"I... I uh like Mei," he practically whimpered at first. Boy that was pathetic- "I like Mei," he then beamed more assertively. "And I didn't know that she was even on the other team.. it felt completely wrong to point a gun at her even if it was just paint."

His tail swished gently behind him and began to wrap around his foot some.

"I just can't fathom pulling the trigger and targeting her."

You like Mei.

She looked away and repeated the words, as if she was tasting them, or trying them on. After a moment of thought, she reached down and picked up a gun from the floor, turning it slightly to check the ammo.

That's a bit cryptic for my tastes. Do you know who I like? I like Nukpana. I like him a lot.

Her eyes remained on Bul as she lifted the gun, pointed it at the tent flap, and fired. The paintball did not fly out of the tent, as expected, but instead hit something solid from outside and slid down the tent flap itself.

So perhaps you could be a little more specific.
PostPosted: Mon May 30, 2011 11:04 pm

'I like Mei.'

Cold was a sensation that skinwalkers rarely felt. Their bodies were naturally warm... almost unnaturally, in fact... it was why they almost always exclusively used warm-blooded animals. They needed exceptional circulation in order to accept the skins of other animals, so cold blooded animals were a far more difficult transition. But at that moment, Nuk felt an intense chill in his veins at the words, his body going rigid.

'I just can't fathom pulling the trigger and targeting her.'

After that, Nuk stopped paying attention, for the most part. In fact, he hardly heard much of anything, his amber eyes flicking to the ground, intense and lost in thought. He did, however, hear his name enter his mind in Riley's voice, his attention snapping back to the conversation as he leaned in a little closer. Wait... what? That was... just a coincidence... right?

Except it was at that moment he felt the painful THWACK of a paintball hit his shoulder, and he stumbled a little, the tent flaps rustling with movement as he did so.

"s**t JACK RILEY OW JACKING OW."

Pushing open the flap, he scowled at the mindflayer a little, rubbing his shoulder.

"What the jack was that for?!"

Bul nearly winced but couldn't imagine Riley shooting him at point blank. Instead the paintball flew in another direction and made contact with a very tangible target.

"Huh..." he paused. Nuk was there? Not that it bothered him... one less person to explain the situation to.

"More.. specific? I mean.. how do you mean more specific?" he asked, brow raised for a moment then sighing. He knew what she meant.. what she was trying to do. If she didn't she'd still be getting what she was looking for. "I LIKE like her. I want... to be with her. Yanno. I haven't asked yet but I was planning to soon. She pretty much has been one of the best Halloween Towners I've met ever and we've kinda gone through a lot together... heh.. this being one of them." he chuckled, of all things it was paintball.

Solemnly he glanced over at the skinwalker listening and smiled faintly. "That's what happened. And when we were supposed to shoot at each other Holly roared by and kicked our asses."

Christof had sat this game out, and instantly regretted it. Loitering on NAP's side had been nerve-wrackingly lacking in orders and demands beyond fetching more lawn chairs and pillows. In the pit of his stomach, he knew his Mistress would not be pleased by the overall outcome of events. They had lost... again and again to the Nappers. He wasn't sure what Riley had been thinking challenging the club, perhaps just a refresher in those pleasing shivers of victory, thinking it was the most likely club to present it easily and boost the overall moral of the troupes, so to speak. Or so he theorized.

Somewhere along the line, though, this plan, if it had been the plan, had backfired.

By the time he crept his way towards the red tent, he saw everyone standing about looking gloomy or angry or disgusted. He veered to the side, eyeing Nukpana guarding the flap warily as he crouched, waiting along the wall of the tent, twisting his hands anxiously. Of course he couldn't overhear Mistress if she didn't want him to, but he could hear Bull's voice, and Nuk's cry of alarm as he was suddenly hit by a quick example. Discussing the game? Questioning him for his behavior?

The Igor wondered if it would be a good idea to begin collecting skitters for interrogation reasons.

While Calder did get shot and out of the game, he still walked with at least renewed vigor as he came over to nap and plopped down with a dramatic sigh. "I shot something!" He announced, happy at his achievement. He wasn't cursed after all!
