Purrloin would continue to watch the two trainners battle getting a bit more intense but now Purrloin was getting bored so she turned back towards the city. The Purrloin would make its way through the city traveling past the Pokemon center and heading for a alleyway.

Truth be told Takamaru was not expecting cress to counter with 'scald.' "Iron Hide, don't let up your speed, but angle to the right slightly and prepare to jump!" Takamaru ordered and Iron Hide complied. just the short range scald attack was in damage range of Iron Hide Takamaru called out his next order, "Now! Perform a spiral leap using your momentum and aim for that Large rock!" Takamaru's plan had worked , Aron had escaped taking any damage from the scalding attack by preforming a dodge maneuver, but also in doing so stuck the large rock shattering it and spraying the field with smaller fist sized rocks.
"Were not finished yet! Iron Hide charge it again, but now use the rock spray as cover as you advance towards it!" Takamaru ordered abandoning his previous plan in leeway of his new tactics, 'Now, if all goes as planned Iron Hide should be able to come with in striking distance to land an attack on Panpour' Takamaru thought, But Iron Hide is is no way faster than Panpour so this battle's victor may just come down to whoever has the higher stamina, considering if Panpour continues to fight outside of Aron's attacking range...

Neither Avan or Kali (or Thunderfang for that matter) knew how long Odor Sleuth lasted after it's initial use, so to be safe, Avan had to figure a way to prevent the tackle; and he had just the way.
First, the Tepig dodged their Night Shade, much to Avan's dismay. Then it attempted a tackle after the feint. "Kali, use Protect!" WIth those words, a gree barrier formed around the Spirit Pokemon, blocking the tackle that would collide into it. "Up, then Ominous Wind!" The barrier faded, the Yamask floated upwards, and swiped it's hand downward at Bacon, a creepy, purple wind following it.

The tepig bounced off the protect, that shell was a surprise to him. More surprising was that his feint had been anticipated so well...
"Spit!" The words were all that the obese lad had to say, dodging was an obvious move here, and how to dodge was obvious as well. Bacon moved forwards, once again to be directly underneath the pokemon, which would place him outside of the range of the ominous wind. He didn't need to look up to know where the opponent was, he knew where it was, knew its smell.
Bacon looked directly at the yamask and fired an ember. Disable, it appeared, was over.

It surprised Avan more than it did the Yamask that the wind was avoided, but Kali was still in a position to avoid the counter attack from Bacon. "Twist and-" Avan's command stopped short. It occurred to him that when Kali was pushed to her limit, she was able to use Hex; an attack could prove even more useful. "Take the hit! Then on the ground and release Ominous Wind!"
The fire type's attack hit Kali once again and she landed quickly. With shake of her head to bring herself back to a secure state of mind and a swipe of both her arms, another, larger burst of eerie air spread and rushed forth aimed for the little, pig Pokemon.

"Rush!" Again, Robby wasn't the strategist here, he didn't need more than a few words most of the time. Besides, calling out everything you intended to do was kinda counter-productive, right?
Bacon saw the opponent coming down, didn't bother sitting still, he'd heard the order. The pig pokemon moved in a curve even as the yamask was landing, he wouldn't be directly under it, nor in front of it, not for long anyway, and instead would be coming from behind with a tackle by the time the yamask was firing.

Cress's expression never lost it's confidence. "Interesting strategy, but useless! Panpour, Scald!"
Given that Takamaru had announced the rock cover, Panpour knew Iron Hide was in there somewhere. He released another Scald, but this one was much wider at the cost of range. As the rocks came into contact with the water, they lsot their momentum and fell sizziling to the floor.
The goal was that Iron Hide would have nowhere to dodge except for backwards for the wide range water blast, and with the running momentum he wouldn't be able to make a full stop in time.

'Tch, shouldn't have yelled that...What to do what to do' the young trainer thought as Iron Hide neared the scalding attack. "he would take more damage trying to Evade than to..." he trailed off, talking out loud to himself.
"Iron Hide, Shock wave!" the trainer commanded. Takamaru hadn't wanted to use this attack right off the bat but he had little choice if he ever wanted to get within striking range.
Moments later Iron Hide was charging a long range electric type attack, but instead of releasing it into the air he kept it charged to his body. this let the small Iron pokemon to continue on through the attack but with a feild of electricty surrounding him, although in the process taking damage, but no more than if he were to have attempted to dodge the attack. Takamaru Flinched seeing his pokemon hurt but continued to call out orders. "Keep going! once your within range let the attack loose" hopefully, with a little luck the attack would make contact giving Takamaru enough time to come up with another plan of attack.
Takamaru's next move would depend on the various outcomes of his previous venture. either the attack would miss leaving Iron Hide wide open for another attack. or Iron Hide would make contact then continue on to use an Up close 'Head smash' attack

"I know," Eunmi said. She rolled her eyes as she looked away from her wrist, the Xtransciever displaying a video call with her mother.
"You should have gotten there by now. Are you sure you're looking at the right route on the map?"
"I'm not lost," Eunmi said, her teeth grinding together. "I'll call you back later."
The screen went blank as she tapped a button on the device, cutting her mother off before she could say anything else. She looked down at Dali, her Oshawott, who looked like he could use a bath.
"I didn't think we'd run into so much trouble," Eunmi frowned. "But at least we haven't had to run from everything this time."
Her training with Robby had helped a lot, and thanks to Henrietta's advice, Dali was quickly mastering his use of Shell Blade. But the battle with Robby had put them back a bit; they had to stay the night in the Pokemon Center while Dali recovered.
"You look tired," Eunmi said, leaning down to pick the Pokémon up. "Sorry you had to fight so much. Next time, we'll have Da Vinci pick up the slack, ok?"
The blue pokemon snuggled against her arms and nodded, taking a well deserved rest as she continued to walk along the path until they reached Striation City. Eunmi was relieved that she had not had to encounter any more wild Pokemon and quickly began to look for the red rooftop of the Pokémon Center. Dali needed rest, and they all needed to eat.

"Behind you! Brace yourself." Avan was Kali's eyes for what she couldn't see. Kali turned quickly, lifted her mask to take the hit, and braced. Pushed back, her mask would glow and then the Tepig would glow. Mummy activated. Although...it was totally unplanned.
What was that? Avan wondered. I've never seen that happen before. That was just a tackle...nothing seemed off about it. So...was that Kali's doing? Ugh...more things I don't know.
"Before it backs off! Ominous Wind!" The Yamask's eye glowed and another terrifying wind blew in front of her. The Tepig, being within point blank range in front of her, would be in for quite the hit.

The fact that the ghost pokemon could brace itself for a purely physical move was interesting, doing that while floating was nice too. but Avan had taken too much time being shocked and yelling, in this case, Robby's simple yell was much faster. "Spit!" The ember would leave at point-blank while the pokemon were glowing, since the obese lad didn't bother trying to come up with any reasoning behind that glowing stuff while Avan seemed to hesitate in shock. All tricks.
"Burnin' rush!" Left his mouth at roughly the same time that Avan would start his own command. This meant, that while the Ominous Wind would probably hit Bacon, his own attack would hit as well, probably first since the command was shorter. The attack? Flame charge.
***Flashback***
"Rush 'em!" The pig pokemon moved in another tackle against one of three lillipups, the number being the only reason that Robby was helping. This time, however, flames encompassed the pig, and it rammed into its opponent, a moment later it was faster, and Robby didn't miss a step in naming this new technique.
"Burnin' rush!" He called, and Bacon continued his onslaught against the poor pokemon who no longer had a chance...

Now, Kali likely wouldn't be ready for this, since releasing the brace on herself would mean she'd likely be pushed back, if she wasn't fainted by now, if she was hit. Seeing as Bacon was now using a flame physical attack, odds were, she wouldn't get back up if she was hit...

"I still find it really cool that these things are free," Eunmi said aloud while leaning against the counter at the Pokemon Center. She glanced back at the clock on the wall and tapped her fingers impatiently. The nurse approached her with a tray containing two poke balls, and Eunmi's fidgetting ceased.
"Is there somewhere nearby that I can get food?"
"Other than the Gym-"
"Why would a Gym have food?" Eunmi asked as she reclaimed her pokemon. "I mean, I'm sure people get hungry after working out and stuff, but..."
"Well, the Pokemon Gym is run by Pokemon Connoisseurs. They special in three different types of Pokemon battling, but also do serve wonderful food-"
"Connoisseurs? How chic," Eunmi interupted as she released Dali from his Poke Ball. "You hungry? You probably built up a huge appetite. I know Da Vinci will eat away my monthly allowance..."
"Oshaa," Dali nodded.
"Sounds like a plan. Thanks for the tip, Nurse-" Eunmi glanced at the nametag, "-Joy."
Eunmi didn't connect that the last nurse she spoke to was named Joy as well.
* * * * *
"I can't believe you don't know this song," Eunmi said as she quite literally danced towards the Cafe entrance of the Pokemon Gym. Even if she had been paying attention, it was likely that she would not have noticed all the signs that Pokemon battles took place here. She had Dali on her shoulder, one earphone plugged into her ear, the other one Dali held up to his own, and the two gleefully entered the Gym.
"Two please," Eunmi said to the woman at the counter, and then looked down at her hand.
"Wait, three," she corrected, ticking another finger off.
"Are you here to dine or to battle?"
"Eh?" Eunmi said, slowly removing her earphone. "You said battle? Inside? Isn't that dangerous?"
"Um," the waitress glanced over at her co-worker and giggled. "So to dine then."
As the waitress ushered them towards their table, Eunmi glanced at Dali.
"I swear, so many people are wrapped up in Pokemon battling, they forget themselves sometimes," she sighed.

Dave entered the cafe, the hulking Machamp right behind him.
"Funny, using a restaurant as a gym. I guess it works" He headed over to the counter and looked to the waitress with a grin "Two please, and I'd like a double caramel latte, light on the foam, extra caramel, please."
"Yes sir, right this way."
Goliath looked around the room at all the people as they were led to their table, his four arms crossed in front of his chest. Dave looked to him as they sat down, then glanced over at the girl with the Oshawott at the table next to them. "I guess some people may be here strictly to dine." He turned to the waitress. "Hey, can you put that girl's order on my bill? And get me a glass of ice water for Goliath here. Thanks."
