Maybe I don't know where I'm coming at either. It's like this, some people might absolutely abhorrere (is that even a word in English) being a glass cannon all the time given the aggro deal, and never pick up the ring, or outright call it a terrible ring, and might like something like it instead work like a Buff. But then again, others might prefer the thing lasting forever, specially, hum, Papa Saw spammers. I find it amazing that, if BOTH existed as different rings, there would be arguments started on the pointlessness of the "buff one" with the existence "permanent one", being better than the first, where people would constantly argue back that it is not. I would just go asking around for opinions on it.

gataka Really good three part series on "The F-Words of MMORPGs (Fairness, Faucets, F2P)"; last one is just gold. You just made me realize zOMG! has a "Tiredness" or "Energy" approach, to gold. Weird thinking of it like that. Oh well, I actually don't dislike the approach entirely, but I still find the cap a bit too low. And the Gold/Donator thing is just too badly performed given that the gold is essentially a ******** you (Donators wouldn't get them, and those who are forced to because they can't even do offers get a shitastic "3 days", essentially a ******** you)

The huge timer is your "newb protection" so you don't get raped by high leveled players early on. Brag is just a less subtle way of doing facebook notifications I'm going to play this game until I DESTRO Panagrammic... Or would, but they fa- ... the wuss ran away from my map.

edit: beyond cultural shock, pretty cool. The waiting's a pain. Now to make my own Gaia/zOMG! themed version.

I hate the shitty map
You keep being teleported to players close to your level.
That beats the whole point of newb protection or the whole deal on keeping farms alive in this kind of games.
but specially... I got teleported away from panaggrammic.

No u. They're Epics spread "all over the site", with levels: - Get Formula - Get stuff - Pay to try, your lvl must be equal or higher than the item's - Fail = lose cash, try again - Win = lose EVERYTHING, dundundun, gain item, gain xp - xp = item's level - xp to level = your current level * 10 - You don't gain xp from items that are your level - 2 or less - "Stuff" includes... lots of stuff, notably new loot of rare origins, zOMG! loot, and CS... stuff. Plug zOMG! at the Formula or Stuff level, possibly convert Recipes to this system. Non-zOMG! idea I want yer'pinions on: essentially this. Other thread. "I'll buy X for Yg" offers on the marketplace. - Sellers compete by lowering - Buyers by increasing ("permanent" auction) - Better idea of actual demand - Sellers can go for a quick sell/ Selling and Buying can occur in parallel - Buyers don't have to be "present" to buy same way Sellers currently don't ( increased contact area) - Possibly: Buyer sets aside 5K to buy a 100 Z at 50g each, multiple Sellers could fill that demand (Seller A sells 12, Seller B 5, Seller C 12...) instead of the Buyer doing all the work. ( load spread/parallel, speed gain ) End result: more, quicker transactions.

Actually,, I find that to be a terribly great idea. They should really consider going ahead with this!
Of course, that is, given you have to lose your money temporarily to make the offer, and there's a limit of 10 offers, so that peopler can't spam the Marketplace with them (except for 1g offers, which would always be below all other serious offers anyways).
It'd be interesting if it was mixed with the other listings just to screw over the Marketplace Snipers.
