Des, try to see from John's point of view. Every day he has to see the man he loves in pain, nearly begging for death. Van has lost all hope in surviving. And even though I don't agree, I can see why John is considering.

I love you Van. I will always love you. All of this is not meant to upset you but to help you. It's all up to you in the end but you know how bad the pain could get. Please baby, consider the options before it's to late.

I know sweetheart and I don't want you to go wither. It's not about thaat. This is about my love for you and not wanting you to be in pain. You said so yourself that the pain would be to much to handle if it got any worse than it is now. I'm only thinking of what's best for you. I don't want to see you in any more pain.
