"Uh... thanks, I-" Aden stopped himself immediately upon the command given to Jigglypuff, and covered his ears. There was no way he was letting that get him. "Mareep, quick! Quiet it before everyone else is knocked out! Thundershock!"

Noting the urgency in what was said, Mareep tried to fight back the song's effects. She could quickly see what was being meant, and delivered a jolt right at Jigglypuff's face while she still could.

"Look, I'm sorry, but you need to mind the audience in a setting like this. They'd all fall asleep... too..." Aden's trailing off came sudden, his eyes growing wide when he realized what he might've just unleashed. A swelled up puffball, and it was now rolling towards his side of the field with more momentum by the second. "Mareep, move and charge up!"

Keeping up with offense looked like it'd be suicidal. This one was rather different. He'd need to employ different tactics, the first one in mind being a way to lessen harm. Mareep was grazed by the Jigglypuff as she went to get out of the way, building up what electricity she could into her wool.

"It's not stopping!?" Aden had a hard time masking the expression on his face, realizing that he was in more trouble than he first thought. "Mareep, we've got to slow it down! Thunder Wave!"

Mareep slowed herself and held her ground at once, discharging some of the electricity she was able to build up. This thing needed to stop or else things were going to get painful in a serious hurry.

"Mareep, again!" Aden was trying to keep himself from panicking, but having a small, careening puffball was a strong motivator for avoiding anything too rough. He had to wonder if she was even aware that others were nearby...

Regardless, Mareep continued to hold her ground and let off another discharge.

Aden was tempted to add in another jolt for good measure, but he feared such a thing might be considered overkill in this setting. The threat, as it were, was subdued if only for a brief moment. "Now, Mareep! Tackle!"

Instead, he opted to have have his Mareep ram herself into the Jigglypuff. He had to keep it from doing too much damage. "You have to be mindful of those that may be around, watching the battle or doing something else. They don't want to get involved in the attacks. At least, in a setting as open as it is here. Didn't expect an attack like that, though..." He spoke up.

"It... went to sleep?" Aden could've fell over from utter disbelief alone. Worst, everything he had just done was quickly becoming for naught. The grips paralysis had were fading. It soon dawned on him that things weren't as they seemed, and this wasn't going to be quite so quick.

He wasn't up for letting that stand, but he might have a fair shot... "Mareep, start charging up." He spoke up.

Mareep blinked at the command and looked to the sleeping Jigglypuff, figuring that maybe things were safe for the moment and this was a chance to prepare. So she quickly did just that.

"...It used what!?" Aden was seriously hoping he didn't hear that right. As if the song wasn't bad enough on its own. "Mareep, can you handle yourself?"

She didn't say anything, practically frozen in fear as the song loomed in her mind. It was like the walking bouncy ball over there just went and sung of her death. In its sleep.

Taking this to mean that Mareep might not be able to handle this, something else had to be done. "Alright, return. Don't let that song bother you. You'll be fine." He said, and quickly recalled her to get Raticate out. "Raticate, take over! Quick Attack!"

Cue that same rat careening at the sleeping (and dangerous) Jigglypuff.

Aden tried not to make the comment forming in his mind. Another round Pokemon. Probably knew Rollout too. Maybe it wasn't so bad, tbut he didn't want to chance it. Keeping up a speedy offense sounded like the best idea he had. "Maybe it'll be safer... now, Sucker Punch!"

So he had his Raticate rush in and try to land a punch, curious if an opening existed.
