So I've got another ovarian cyst, I think. I'm going to the doctor on Tuesday, and probably should've gone yesterday, because I can hardly sleep due to the pain, and over-the-counter medications do nothing. This is the third one in the past eight months, making it a rather frequent occurrence. Too frequent. If you've ever had appendicitis, you should know approximately what a cyst feels like (most are asymptomatic; mine apparently aren't).

I don't know what to do, though. I know how to prevent them, or at least stop them from happening more often: hormonal birth control. But that's something I really, really don't want to do. The risks are more than I'm willing to take, and with my ADD, the chances of messing up and missing a dose are extremely high. But I don't know if I can deal with this sort of pain every couple of months. I went to the mall earlier and was barely able to walk back to my car.

Seriously, my body is turning on me, and I really don't like it.

I know many girls who set an alarm on their phone to remind them to take their pill. Or you could look at non-pill methods. The thing about birth control is there is a lot of kinds to chose from and types that make it easier to remember, easier on your body, and what not. Like the patch is one a week but the risk of clots is higher than the pill. Or the mini-pill which has a lower amount of hormones than the average pill. Hormonal BC can be kinda scary but these cysts sound even scarier.

I hope you feel better soon Tabi. *huggles*

Yeah, the problem is, I really don't like those risks. And I have an unreasonable fear of taking medication over a long term. But... I dunno, in this case, it might be worth it.

Have you tried the dietary modifications?
the removing sugars and processed foods as well- meats and cheeses limited, while vegetables and fruits are increased?
There are natural food or dietary supplemental ways to regulate hormones too. They still have risks, because you're effecting your hormones.
There are time-release bc injections if you're afraid of miss doses, but it comes with the same risks as the pill forms.
I don't know if it's entirely unreasonable to be afraid of long term meds. There are always risks with anything. It's good to be as fully informed of what things you might be doing to your body before you do them.
I really hope you feel better. It sounds miserable

Can stress/anxiety cause your period to become really light? I think I've read that it can but I'd like to know if any of you have had that happen to you personally?

It takes a lot of stress so it's not too common but it does happen. I've never been very stressed so I've never had it happen.

I might have had it happen once, but since it was only that one time, I don't know if it was just a coincidence or if the "stress" (more like complete breakdown XD) was what caused it >.<

Oh wait so apparently the birth control I'm on is supposed to give you shorter and lighter periods.. Does it make sense for that to start happening after me being on it for over a year? I think for the past few months my periods have been getting progressively lighter, although I never really thought about it until now..

Delayed effects of medicaments aren't uncommon. It really depend on how your body works and treat the chemicals.
I would assume medicaments made to be taken for longer periods of time to have a fairly low potency. And the low potency could possibly increase the delay of effects.

Ultimately: Food, environment and lifestyle may have a great effect on how your body acts. So you can't really conclude the medicaments to have a significant role in the changes.
Could potentially be convenient metabolism as well.

Stress, anxiety, diet, sleep pattern, amount of exercise, general health, medication, environment, alcohol consumption and plenty of other things affect it.

Clinginess.

How do you ladies feel about it? What goes through your head when a guy is constantly expressing adoration, worry, etc. to the point of obsession?

It's pretty uncomfortable when someone does that. Some people like the attention but to me it's just seems unhealthy.

I hate it, whatever the relationship between myself and the guy is, I can't stand it. When anyone behaves that way towards me, I feel like I've accidentally stepped in hot tar or something and I just can't get it off. I avoid that person like the plague if it gets bad enough, and ultimately the relationship ends. Overly clingy behavior also breeds suspicion and distrust in me, which just adds to my desire to get as far away from that person as I am able.

Clinginess is a problem in my family, or should I say nosiness… That probably makes me more inclined to push away from a clingy boyfriend. It depends.
