I still haven't found my feet... Patrick blushed, slightly ashamed that he'd hated women. "Sorry..."
but with you to set me right, I'll be fine.

I`ll paint you mornings of gold, I`ll spin you valentine evenings, though we`re strangers till now, we`re choosing the path between the stars. I`ll leave my love between the stars.
"Yes, well, humans are half blind, as the saying goes. I can't blame you, really. And it works out to my advantage." he said.
As the pain sweeps through, Makes no sense for you, Every thrill he's caused, doesn't seem much fun at all. But I'll be there for you As the world falls down.
((Half blind- Fae are generally bi, which contributes to their low birth rate, and they joke that humans, who rarely see beauty in more than one gender, are "half blind". Idea taken from a really weird little piece of fiction that I can't remember the name of any more.))

I still haven't found my feet... Patrick smiled softly. "We're brought up that way. But any of our children start dating and I'm definitely having a meeting with the proposed partner - either gender!" He declared, snuggling against Taran's back for a moment, then continuing to brush the Fae's hair.
but with you to set me right, I'll be fine. ((Cool!! I'd like to find that book xD))

Taranieth giggled. "Yes, of course" he said, imagining Patrick trying (and failing) to be stern with a teenaged child's boyfriend, who happened to be adorable, because he expected his children to have taste. It was a fun image.

I still haven't found my feet... Nodding, the human finished untangling Taranieth's hair and then swept the silken curtain aside to press a gentle kiss to the back of the Fae's neck.
"Do you ever tie it back, do you prefer it down?" he wondered, stroking his fingers through it.
but with you to set me right, I'll be fine.

"Rarely. Only when I'm painting, or cooking. I doubt even you would like to find my hair in your food, though you think it so nice on my head." Taranieth laughed. "And if I'm getting very dressed-up. But that's rare."

I still haven't found my feet... "Mhmm." Patrick murmured, half-listening as he rested his head in the centre of Taran's back, slipping his arms around Taranieth's middle so he could hug him. But he carefully held back his lower half.
but with you to set me right, I'll be fine.

Taranieth turned, wetting the comb so he could work it through Patrick's messy head.

but with you to set me right, I'll be fine.

Taranieth kissed the top of his head. "Of course." he said gently, running the comb through Patrick's short locks with an absentminded smile.

I still haven't found my feet... Relaxed completely, Patrick allowed his thoughts to tumble out. "Taran... what would you think... if I sold some of the furniture I intend to make? To buy things like bread and such?"
but with you to set me right, I'll be fine.

"If you like, but not to humans. The fae would like your talents enough, and we deal in human money if we must." Taranieth said. "I take it you would not be amenable to simply making an illusion of money?"

I still haven't found my feet... Patrick shook his head. "No - unless the person I'm buying from is horrid in some way, people deserve to be paid so their family can survive."
Raising his head, he stared Taran in the eye. "I can't sell to humans because...?"
but with you to set me right, I'll be fine.

Taranieth sighed patiently. "Because fae centuries old have slipped up and it caused massive problems. You are human. Young. Even though I trust you, it is not I who must decide. I would leave you the charge of my own life... but it is not... right, to leave you the charge of every fae in the world. Which is, in the end, what it would come to." he said "I love you very much, but on this point I must be firm. Buying things- food, or clothing- as a nameless traveler is one thing, but people remember those they bought a chair from."

I still haven't found my feet... Patrick nodded slowly, chewing his lip at the complication - he couldn't sell Mr. Sullivan a chair or some such if he agreed to Master Taranieth's terms, but nor could he suddenly 'lose' a lot of money after selling several bits of furniture to the Fae.
He intended to leave Rebecca 'a widow' after a week - two at the most - but leave her with money or at least have already paid in furniture for her staying there.
He frowned. Maybe I could just chop wood and - I don't know, babysit with Rebecca? But that might mean I'm gone for hours...
but with you to set me right, I'll be fine.
