Vincent

"No what I'm saying is Antarctica is Atlantis. Homer, he had it wrong. He thought they were in the middle of the Atlantic, cause they could make it to Europe, Greece and Egypt so quickly. Yeah well when you have a boat that does nearly three hundred nautical miles and hour you get around. I may have been amazed by this technological advancement, cause it is different." He sighed as she rubbed his calf.

"Four, I believe. Maybe more, but there are four of us that have been trapped. I was the first and the most famous out of the four, Libby the least known, though as I hear it the one to follow the rules less stringently. Vassili, my rival of sorts, probably as least known as Libby in the prison, but known throughout the world. Nosferatu. His b*****d son Dracula. Actually killed by one of my former masters Dr. Hellsing. Though people think both are fictional." Vincent ticked them off and realized he had missed one. The one all three of them knew very little about. He knew Libby in passing seeing as he power had brought her to the lower levels of Rome at one point. Libby was also the youngest, though Collete could be a contender.

"Collete, is well and enigma. I don't know much about her, I never met her only heard of her from Libby. Anyway other than those three and me I haven't heard of any others." The news story changed to the Gulf Oil Spill and Vincent's heart clenched. He nearly went into a rage, but held his ******** humans defiling my ocean. Should teach this British Petroleum a lesson. No offense, just another reason why I resent most humans. Another reason why my brother and sisters resented humans. You know all those natural disasters. They are controlled and thought out. Earthquakes, mudslides, tornadoes, hurricanes, Volcano eruptions and wild fires. All planned, trying to kill humans. You guys have advanced so much though. It is amazing really."

Libby

Libby did not respond to Seth immediately. She had been taking in the persistent tavern like atmosphere that was almost breeding in the place. From the secret words or passage to the highly alert nature of the majority once a stranger stepped foot in there, it was almost home and would be that if she was back in her original dress. The music was endearing to say the least but at most, pleasurable. Her fingers tightened around Seth's as she led him over to the bar.

She sat down and gave him a quick kiss on the lips before answering, "It's homey for me. If you kept me in here long enough with such delectable but hidden emotions, you just might get me drunk for the first time ever." A chuckle escaped her at this because she knew that it would take more than some college-class insecurities to screw her over at any time. That did not take away from the fact that it was a joke. "Anyway, I don't think you told me how that thing with Angel went. Aren't you two meeting again?"

Aimee Lynne Cox

"Thanks, I did it myself. Made the human race evolve, to develop technologically."

Aimee's hands switched to Vincent's other calf, rubbing that one as well.

"Are you all...family? Like, with the Greek gods and what not?"

She couldn't help but laugh, despite Vincent's anger; not that Aimee couldn't empathize, but the whole "nature lover" thing was Lilly's game, not her own.

"Isn't ironic, Vincent? Not a month ago, people were complaining and shouting that the world doesn't have enough resources for everyone. And now, there's a whole in the world that won't stop pumping ******** oil."

She smiled and settled back in her seat, watching the television with the perverse pleasure of a deviant.

"So...it is not random? All those natural disasters? I've always wondered...it's good to know that they've been planned; at least then, we can attempt to change. Not that we will, but it's still a nice thought."

Seth

"I wouldn't mind seeing you drunk. Might make things more interesting. Though I believe you are joking." Seth now had a very large glass of very exotic and hard to find juice in his hands. It was new to the menu and he was interested in trying it, when Libby's question about Angel came up. He had thought they were sorta past this.

"Yeah we were. I suspect she hasn't gotten word about the BVR being closed for a criminal investigation, so I should be expecting a call around eight." Seth glanced at the clock on the wall behind the bar and saw that it was just past five.

"Two hours and some change. Good enough for me. I think I'll blow her off though, she seems a little vague in her interest. Like she wants to use me for something. Not sure. If she calls tomorrow I guess that means she's actually interested, oh wait I have class with her tomorrow." Seth mentally went over his courses and he was right. They had Historical Theology Interpretation class at about two in the afternoon. Tuesday and Thursday was his long day. Eight to eight. He wondered what Libby would do?

"I'm in class most of the day tomorrow, Twelve hours straight. Now that you got a reliable and loud set of wheels what would you do with me preoccupied?" Seth took a long sip of the very good juice.

Vincent

Vincent hated the human race a lot at that exact moment, so he changed the channel and it happened to be the Military Channel talking about the Pacific war. Vincent perked up a little listening and then sat back down.

"Even their history isn't right. Oh well can't expect them to know what I said since I officially didn't exist." He chuckled turning his head to watch her profile.

"No we aren't family. The Greek Gods, the Roman Gods. They were, I don't know gifted humans, still very mortal. Their legends were built up by the Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians. The Norse, oh god the Norse. Crazy ********. Vassili, Libby, Colette and I, we are the genuine article, immortal, nearly indestructible and very evil. At least I was, and Vassili was. I think we have soften a bit." He chuckled, Vassili was still a lusty b*****d and Vincent was still a pervert.

Libby

"I am not joking," she lied. Libby listened to him talk about Angel in an attempted off-hand manner. It was not that he was forcing to sound as though he did not care about her but quite the opposite. The demon stole someone's shot and downed as the question about her agenda for the next day came up.

"I'll try that runaway thing again," she responded flatly. It was not an actual truth. Of course, she could not leave him again but it would be nice to scope out the area and see what the small town had to offer an enslaved demon. Before Seth could go crazy on her, she added quickly, "I'll just drive around. There was this guy from that other cafe who was suggesting time to hangout. Maybe I'll take him up on that." She had her glass refilled but sipped it this time, her eyes feeling him out.

Aimee Lynne Cox

Aimee made a small face.

"I don't like the PTO, anyway. Too many gooks, not enough Jerries, you know?"

She grinned at Vincent's description of the Norse.

"That's what I said too, the first time I read about the Norse. So no good Gods exist? Only evil demons? That's oddly depressing."

Her hands stopped, and just rested on Vincent's legs.

"But then, that can't be entirely true. If you guys were really as powerful as you claim to be, you wouldn't be sealed up in itty-bitty pieces of rock, now would you?"

Seth

Whatever, Seth was slowly getting used to her sly ways, intonation, faces, and expressions. Guess that's what happened in constant contact. Her red eyes slid between shades of crimson and red when she was lying he noticed. Pink when she was happy, and a somewhat dark pink when... Seth banished that thought. That had been a one time thing, for now. He would probably never see that shade of pink again.

"Just try not to get in trouble. Somewhere along the lines of no using yourself to get money, killing people and running away. That will keep me sane. I know kills all the fun don't it?" He laughed lightly, though he was dead serious about all of that. He would walk out of class and hunt her down if she tried to make a run for it again.

"So we need another club to frequent tonight. Anything floating off these brain panned minds." Seth hadn't been sure if she had noticed the perpetual haze, he was so used to the smell he didn't care. Another reason this place was kept on the very DL.

Vincent

Vincent sighed, exasperated by her sudden curiosity, maybe he should just be silent about the past. Oh well, he was the one that brought up this can of worms, might as well spill it to her.

"Vassili and I don't know. We were at one point guardians to friends, best friends. You might have heard of them, though most think they are, well to be honest fake, made up. Romeo Montague and Mercutio of Verona." Vincent didn't give her a second to let this sink it, there was no point he wasn't going to answer questions about that, the story had been told a million times.

"We figure that the witch who trapped us, all four of us, was indeed one of these Good God's you so want to hear of, well more of the opposite of us, cause she was just as immortal. I was captured just as the Roman Empire, well became an Empire. Vassili was captured in Romania four hundred years later, by the same witch. I don't know about Libby and Colette, but they were trapped the same way. So yeah. When powers collide it is whoever the most cunning that wins." He chuckled. Vincent had tried to wash her away, but she rose into the air on golden wings, and captured him in seconds. Vassili lasted minutes before he was done, a battle of wills. Vassili practically let her capture him after his own power was turned against him, dumbass.

Libby

"The hell it does," she scoffed, throwing her head back with the whiskey, "It just means that I have to find new ways to entertain myself and others." He did not say anything about using her powers against humans for some petty change or some other materialistic gain. No prostitution, no killing and no taking off into her own sunset - rules, who needs them? Upon request, she began picking at the thoughts. He must know that she was no mind reader but with a few tweaks, it would not be a problem. The demon swirled around in her chair and gazed out at the pockets of people. Most of the places were too shady and she did not want to have to work overtime.

"Glazed, a nightclub towns over. On something like Raiths, we could be there in two hours. Of course," she delved deeper, "there's also Silver's, which is nearer but isn't as big and the music is even worse. I almost feel sorry for killing all those BVR guys if I knew it would be so hard to get a replacement." This whispered last line brought a smile to her lips and she grinned at her charge. If anything, she wished she could do it again.

Aimee Lynne Cox

"Whomever had Mercutio failed. Badly."

Aimee smiled and finished off her Diet Coke in one long gulp, her throat working to swallow the black liquid in a single breath. She crumpled the can when she'd sucked the final drops of liquid out of it and turn in her seat to toss the aluminum in their recycling bin; it was one of the few things she and Lilly agreed on. She turned back to face Vincent.

"Is there only the one of her, and the four of you? Or...what? Sorry for all the questions. You have to understand though, I can get very curious. Especially about things I don't know anything about."

She shrugged her apologies, not really being sorry.

Seth

Seth wasn't sure if she would follow any of the guidelines he put down, but he hoped she would make a run for it, he didn't know if he could find her if she did actually vanish. Always looking over his shoulder to see if she was there watching him. He knew how to keep her around, but eventually living like that would kill him.

"Glazed sounds better. Anyway I don't know if I'd be able to deal with BVR and all those crazy girls you threw me into. Remember those two, wanted to just ******** me all night. Even told me, scared for my life then." He chuckled and knocked back the last part of the juice he had been nursing and stood up. His tab was covered of course.

"Well it is six and we have to be back here no later than two, or I won't get up. So let's hit the road." The keys to Raiths jingled in his hand. Van had cut another copy of it and those were what Libby had.

Vincent

Vincent again sighed. Again asking question he had no reasonable answer to.

"Not sure if she is alone, not even sure if she is alive still. She could have just let her essence go away after we were captured, or she could have killed herself sealing us. You have to realize, we don't feed just because we want to, okay sometimes yeah, but most of the time it is to keep our power working. Without power we are nothing. Mortal and human." Grabbed his left hand with force that would have cracked titanium in two. His wrist snapped and he winced in obvious pain.

"I am breakable. What it took to break that one bone, would have ripped the hardest metal to shreds or killed a dozen men. That's just my wrist. Imagine what it takes to break ribs, my skull. An Atomic weapon nearly killed me, broke every bone in my body ruptured almost all my organs and fried my brain. Two days to regain conscious. Week to actually heal. Now if I hadn't been fully powered, I'd be dead." He shuddered at the thought.

"Humans could kill us, even fully powered. You have the technology, Thermo Nuclear Devices." The program on the TV was now on the Cold War and it was talking about the Soviet Unions massive hundred mega ton weapon.

"See."

Aimee Lynne Cox

Aimee winced when she heard the highly distinctive cracking sound of a broken bone. Nothing in the world sounded close to it; she couldn't stand the sound. It made her...her spine tingle. And not in a good way, either!

"Please...don't do that again. That even looked like it hurt."

She watched the program on the television for a few minutes, thinking over all that Vincet had told her lately.

"Have you ever let yourself get weak enough to be...y'know...mortal? On accident, of course."

Libby

Libby laughed with him as they stood. She nodded her head at some of the males, who had been measuring their chances with a girl like her, while slipping her hand into Seth's as they left the cafe of sorts. While looking into that stranger's mind, she had managed to scoop out the directions for the nightclub. It was a long ride - out of the city, across country and then into the suburbs of another metropolitan location. She handed a helmet to Seth and put on her own, her foot already on the side of the bike.

"Are you sure that you want to do this? I don't mind tacky music if it means that for sure, you're back here in one piece and on time." The demon started the bike but did not drive off, waiting on his response.
