I mean, you guys had Toshimoko. And Hoturi. And Shizue.
You've got the Daidoji family, and their various schools of badassness. You've got a unique talisman magic. And, no matter how much damage your Clan does, you're not screaming "My entire Clan shall make war on you because I didn't like the way one lousy samurai's marriage contract went!" all the damn time. And you're one-up on us Dragon in one way: You didn't spawn the psychotic b***h who killed Lord Onnotangu.

Well, anyone who openly brags is asking for trouble anyway. The Kakita School dosen't encourage people to do that... sweatdrop Braggarts are always due a trimming down, in my opinion. And we're not sissies. stare
I really am not fond of MK moving to the Guild, ya know... it's so empty in here all the time now. sad

And we're not sissies. stare I really am not fond of MK moving to the Guild, ya know... it's so empty in here all the time now. sad That's more the fault of school, and Gaia itself, than the Guild, I think. And actually, samurai culture encourages bragging. It's a staple. It's really considered rude not to tell your opponents all about your deeds. Different, though, is insulting. Kakita bushi are taught to try to trash our reputation as a method of protecting their own. Our prowess is equal to theirs, at the very least, but you guys have the premiere, exclusive dueling school... And mean to keep it that way. 3nodding

I do like the atmosphere it creates, though. The Crane out there, loudly boasting about how they're the best duelists in the Empire... Occasionally glancing back over his shoulder at the smirking Dragon, trying to look good without actually having to prove it against someone who might just demonstrate otherwise. There's a mutual respect... But the Crane would rather die than admit it, and is really praying it doesn't come to that. whee

*shrugs* Whatevah... I have nothing against the Dragon, unlike the Crab and the Lion. KFC and the Purple Ponies aren't too bad, I suppose... though I don't really care for them, either.

Careful... Your prejudices are showing. xd I like the Crab. They do a nasty job, for the good of everyone else, and their reputation takes a nasty hit for it. They're sort of like the Scorpion that way, and for that reason, those two Clans get enormous respect from me. They, plus the Dragon and the Crane, are my favorite four. Lion and Mantis are probably next, followed by the Phoenix and Unicorn - badass in their own right, but really don't capture my imagination like the others. Great for NPCs, but I don't see myself playing one.
Of course, I can see why you wouldn't like those two. The Lion Clan is your eternal rival, and the Crab stole the Yasuki family, and only recently gave half of it back... Damn Hachi. biggrin Cunning b*****d, that man.

I find people ignore the Nezumi rather than pick on them... But I have nothing against the Nezumi. I think they're great. biggrin And who cares if they're not 'asian' enough? Bah. xp
