 Despite his efforts and her own efforts, she still woke up eventually and she was nusled into him and she turned red when she realized who it was but then she just didn't care because she hurt every where, and she felt ice cold even though since her hands were wet with sweat. She wondered how long she'd been out for, but how ever long that was, she wanted to double it and got back to that without any nightmares.
She looked down at her arm since since she felt it tingle a little bit but she looked down at it and felt it and she shivered. It felt weird. It wasn't flexible skin, more like hard scales and she could feel the individual scales...

 He tensed, feeling her wake up when he had shifted his position some. He was afraid she was going to yell at him for the awkward position they were in considering how beet red she was at the discovery, but when she fell back asleep he sighs in relief. He looked over, trying to see if there was a way to get someone's attention without waking her up or humiliating himself. "This is so f-ing weird. Duke better get his a$$ in here soon for I can atleast stretch my legs," he mutters softly, looking anywhere and everywhere other than Sky's calm face which was only mere centimeters from his own. Well, that is until he felt her stir again and shiver. He readjusts his face for he wouldn't smack her's before looking to her. "Are you alright?"

Sky felt breathing on her face a little bit and she opened her eyes again and she froze with her eyes wide open. She looked at him stunned and her cheeks turned red, but that wasn't what probably would surprise him. Her eyes would probably would. They went from a soft golden brown color to a vibrant yellow eyes and her eyes had become slits like a reptile's or a cat's.
But she was to stunned to say anything at all. She tried to speak, but no words came out and she choked a little bit on what she tried to say.

He blinks in utter shock when he gets to see her eyes. His eyes widen and he tries to calm himself as he is reminded of the pictures of dragons he had seen in story books. F-ck being comfortable, he was getting Duke's a** in here! "Duke, I know you're out there! Get off your lazy a** and get in here now!" he exclaims, conscious enough to ensure a. he didn't yell in her ear or b. move from the spot despite wanting to keep his tough guy image, she was still cold and needed the extra warmth that blankets alone, heated or not, could give her. When he heard her choke, he moved back towards her face. "Hey, careful princess, you've had some rough $hit going on during the night. Take it slow, alright?"

Duke heard his name and he unwillingly got to his tired feet and walked into the room where they were staying in. He walked down the hall way carefully before he came into the room glaring at Cade. "You know you could call Logan for once you a** hole," he growled at him just because he was snapping at him.Sky closed her eyes and looked away still red but she didn't the way he looked at her, he looked freaked out. She bit her lip ignoring what he said and she pushed her self up and out from Cade and into a siting position and she imeditly grabbed at her ribs and she sunk forward a little bit in pain. He wasn't kidding, she didn't remember that well last night, but it wasn't a walk in the park, and as soon as the blankets fell off of her, she started shivering feeling extreamly exhausted.

Like every regular old morning, Xaio awoke on her couch with a kink or two in her back. It was never the most fulfilling sleep but going back home never seemed favored anymore. Connecting to the minds of those awake, she greeted. "Morning everyone" Then she stood up and carried herself and her day clothes to the bathroom to wash her face and prepare for the day.
She began walking the halls, her hair up in a small ponytail and her body in a comfortably fitting black dress that left off right above the knees. Today was hopefully going to be a more peaceful day but in case, she wore her sword and sheath around her hip. "Duke, where are you? I'll be willing to prepare breakfast." He wasn't in his office that's for sure, but that was only the first stop on her way to the hospital wing.

Duke smiled a little bit hearing Xaio and he responded, I've been woken up, so I'm in the hospital wing, Sky's up apparently.

He looked at Duke and growled. "Save your $hit for later Duke, you know Sky and her condition better than Logan," he growls before turning his attention to his ward as she sat up. "Whoa princess, that's not a..." he starts before she begins to shiver and hold her chest. He mutters a silent curse before grabbing onto her shoulders and pulls her in close. "Duke, grab fresh warm blankets would you? My body heat alone isn't enough to keep her warm," he states, deciding to be cordial for the moment, for Sky's sake. "Come on Sky, lay on back down, alright?" he coaxes, wanting to just pushing her to the bed but knowing that would most likely be a bad idea.

Duke sighed and walked into the room further knowing he was right, but he still wanted to sleep himself since he was still exhausted. He walked over to the cabinets and grabbed more blankets and quickly exchanged them out for her. "Why did you call me in here so panicked?" he asked mentally so he wouldn't worry Sky.Sky gave in to Cade and just laid there again with her eyes closed holding her arm that also stung. "What happened?" she asked him quietly not remembering completely why she was in this much pain. "I want to get out of here," she said in almost as if she was scared of the hospital and everything in it.

Xaio could only nod to herself while continuing her way towards the hospital and in a fun gesture on the way, she held out her hands like wings and meandered abit in her steps like she was flying. The day was still young so if everything was cleaned up and doing better then maybe they could go flying! "Who knows..." She told her self while entering into the room. There was a definite sweep of tension. "What's going on Duke?"

He looks to Duke as he walked into the room, trying to calm down for Sky's sake. He could see she picked up on how panicked his is, so he had to remain at least semi-calm. When she laid down and asked what happened he sighs and shakes his head, laying down next to her once again while being cautious of her apparently still injured arm. "We fought and you tried to suppress your new powers princess. In the end it landed you here," he whispers softly, caressing her face softly to try and calm her. He blinked though when he recieved the mental message, not used to that, only speaking mentally when it was the full moon. Her eyes Duke, they are...they are like the dragon's, yellow and slitted. Also, her arm is bothering her again and...she smells slightly...off?, the last part spoken hesitant, trying to put a name to the scent mingled in with her human one. When the blankets are tossed on he grabs onto them and wraps them tight around both himself and her, trying to warm her up further, used to the extra heat.

A small tear rolled down her face and she snuggled her head into his chest as if hiding from everything around her. "My arm, it hurts," she said quietly, "And it feels funny." She traced around the red scales that were starting to form on her arm.Duke sighed knowing exactly what was going on and he rubbed the back of his neck not expecting what was happening to happen so soon. "I didn't expect this to happen already, it must have gotten severe," he said but not explaining everything imeditly.

Cade looks to her, eyes filled with worry for the first time in a long time. He felt, attached to her after watching her sleep, mission or not she would be protected anyways. He holds her to him, careful to not smother her but at the same time let her know that she is not alone. When he said that he didn't expect 'it' to happen so quickly he barely supprressed the urge to growl. Explain to me, now, he growls mentally, showing his agitation as she says it hurts. He places a hand on the injured arm, blinking as he feels the scales forming beneath his hands, like his transformation on the full moon except slower. "Sorry Princess, I'd say this $hit is going to be over soon but I have no f^cking idea," he states, pulling his hands under the blankets to gently massage her back, trying to get her to relax.

Sky shivered and nodded trying to hide into him further. She looked past him at Duke before she put her head back into her chest.Duke frowned and glared at Cade angrily for him being so snippy. "IT is Dragon Plague. It's an extinct plague that slowly, and painfully, does one of two things to you," he said starting to explain but he did so slowly. "It either kills you if you take it as a curse... Or... You can harness it as a gift. Either way, it's a painful and slow process."

Cade looks at him, shutting his eyes, figuring out how much pain she is going through right now. Sorry I snapped, he mutters gently, continuing the massage of her back, feeling the tension caused by the pain there. Isn't there anything I can do to help her? Ease her pain at least a little bit? he asks, not liking it one bit. It reminded him too much of his own experiences back when he first became a werewolf two years ago except it was slower and more agonizing, especially since he was forced to watch, unable to do anything to help at the moment, if at all.
