"Wha-why?" Shiko spluttered, confused. "Don't be stupid! I can't just waltz up to some Na'vi and start talking! You know as well as I do, the only times I head out are when I'm going with some Avatars. Do I look like a Na'vi to you?" Shiko narrowed her eyes. "Anyways, you didn't answer the question. Why?"

In one swift move, Shiko struck out at the soldier with her leg, and pinned him neatly to the tree with her foot. "Don't tell me what to do." She growled. "Are you sure you aren't doing something you're not supposed to?" Turning slightly, she glanced at Ni'awtu. "You okay?" She asked in the Language of the People, her accent perfect.

"Duh." Shiko said in English, spitting her blond hair out of her face, and turning to glare at the soldier she still pinned to the tree. Moving so fast her arms were a blur, she knocked him hard upside the head, and he fell to the ground, knocked-out. Shiko turned to Ni-awtu. "What are you doing out here anyways?" She asked in a not unkind tone. "It's dangerous here; you should know that."

"Well go look for food somewhere else." Shiko said, jerking her head towards the forest. "You've already gotten me in enough trouble as is."

(No...they're good guys. For now at least. ;p I just wanted someone to 'scold' Shiko for her acting before thinking.)
Shiko was already turning to go. "You're right, the forest doesn't belong to us. But," She gestured to the land the humans had cleared away. "Do you really think this burned and scarred clearing is still yours to claim? No, we have made our mark on this planet, whether you like it or not." Shiko said as she walked away.

Shiko laughed. She hadn't ever encountered that word before, but she was guessing it wasn't anything good. "A what?" She asked innocently.
