But no matter how hard she concentrated or how she calmed her mind into silence, the flame remained. How was she supposed to get rid of it?

Zane walked over and grabbed a towel that he had left hanging out to dry. He was soaking wet from the water splashed on him. Walking over to Outou as he dried himself off, he felt the same feeling in his stomach. He placed his hand on her shoulder and looked at her closed eyes. "Someone's feeling...iffy...you alright?" he said in a light hearted, almost childish tone.

Her neck hurt from being at such an angle. The flame was still in her stomach and it grew slightly at the sight of Zane hovering over her. Pink eyes narrowed in confusion, not understanding what was going on.

Not being able to control the fact that he was so succeptible to other's emotions, Zane felt the same flame in his stomach as he inched closer to her. Not able to hold back any longer Zane's lips pressed against hers, the fire in his stomach raging as he wrapped his hands around her.

One hand reached up to grab hold of Zane's arm, still confused but mostly lost at the still new sensations.

Zane's lips parted hers as he looked into her eyes, though his hands stayed. "You know something," he sighed as a wide grin spread across his face. "You are unbelivable," he chuckled as his hands wrapped around her even more. Whoever said that a shinobi must live their lives with no emotions was wrong

"Oh you don't know what I'm talking about?" he chuckled, slightly amused. "Well...once upon a time, there was a cold blooded killer, and I mean cold blooded! He took out so many lives as a shinobi, people use to fear him, trembling at the sound of his name. He stopped at nothing to finish the mission," he explained. "And then...this kunoichi came along. And she was stunning, and she was strong. But she drove him CRAZY! He could never win with her...and he ended up being drawn to her, constantly. So he ended up changing his ways for her...to the point that he can actually make him feel even when he killed his emotions. It's quite unbelievable," he chuckled childishly.

"Is that a smile?" Zane asked, teasing her about it. "Wow, you don't see that everyday...hey who says that story is about you huh? You're just assuming it is. I don't know if you're the same girl...I mean this guy even went out on a very important mission. And then his annoying little brother went and got him when the girl was getting hurt. And what did he do? He was back within the next heartbeat...he seemed to have really cared for her," Zane explained to her as his head went and hovered next to her ear. "But hey, that's what happens when a guy falls in love with a girl," he added.

"Yeah...love. It was what kept me alive when I lost myself in the scroll," he explained. "It was also what gave me my humanity," he finished explaining as he gave her a kiss on the forehead.
