"If you say so," Nemo grumbled as he watched Fyte bounce with energy. He couldn't understand how someone could be so energetic right after waking up. Not that he had any right to complain. The boy knew it was bad of him to not get more exercise, but feared another asthma attack. One of the few things to frighten him more than his own demon, in fact.

"Hang on a second, let me change my sweatshirt. I've kind of been wearing this one a while," he said in an ashamed voice. Between his long bout of wakefulness, his kidnapping and then his final set of unconsciousness, he had been waring the same clothes for several days. So with one last apologetic glance, he pulled his Gir sweatshirt off to reveal a thin white tank top and opened his closet. Tossing the dirty one inside, he pulled out a black one that said,"Got Brains?" that had a picture of a brain on the hood. Satisfied that he was at least not smelly, he motioned for them to go on.

"The worst? Oh, no. I'm just getting your attention. I've not even begun to warm up," he snarled with a warped smile.

Grabbing the hilt so she could not pull it out, he held her pinned to the tree. Using a vise-like grip, he held her hands up so she could not use them. The other hand trailed along the blade til his finger tips brushed the wound that was oozing blood. Abruptly, he thrust two fingers into the wound, twisting just slightly.

He wanted to see what kind of reaction she would make, if she could even feel pain in this state. If not, it would make this a little easier, if not a little disappointing. He wanted to hear her scream. He remembered hearing Tsukiko's scream, committed it to memory even, but he craved to hear it again. He couldn't explain the thrill that overtook him when he made someone scream. Didn't expect anyone to understand it either, just one of the quirks of being a monster.

"I'm not the jealous type, more like the selfish. I don't care about him. As long as you play with me a while first," he purred while he dug a little more into the thick flesh. He idly thought how pleasant the feeling of warm blood and sinewy muscle felt.

Opening her eyes, she looked back at the team, who nodded silently to her. Stepping forward, she began to lead the way, until she turned back around. "Ayuka, could you… lead the way since I don't know where we're going exactly?" Alessa said quietly, but shocking the whole team nonetheless. It wasn't often she asked for help, much less admitted she didn't know what she was doing. "Alright" Ayuka said, striding forward to lead the group without batting an eyelash to the situation. Alessa followed behind Ayuka, both she and Elliot working to keep the veil of invisibility over them.

Keeping a fast but quiet pace, they had soon entered the main corridor of the underground base. "So that's why we haven't run into anyone yet." Alessa murmured as Ayuka explained to her. Placing her hand on her comrade's shoulder, she took at peek at the scanner. "So… if we go here, then turn here… and then turn here… we should be able to get to him, right?" Alessa said, pointing to the invisible screens floating in front of Ayuka. The other girl nodded, and Alessa removed her hand. "At this pace, we should be there in… about ten or so minutes?" Ayuka informed, mentally calculating it with the help of her powers. After confirming it, the group continued forward, approaching the corridor they were supposed to go down. It only took one step in before sirens went off, blaring in their annoying way. "Ayuka!! Status, quickly!" "They seem to have put up traps right before we entered! And I do mean right before!" She yelled, looking around as she covered her ears. "So much for stealth." Alessa grumbled, grabbing Ayuka's and Elliot's arms. "Quick! We have to get out of this corridor now! Keep on moving forward before they can block us off!" She shouted over the alarm, running ahead.

Alessa was sprinting down the hallway, dragging Elliot and Ayuka with her as the others followed. "Wait, hold on!" Ayuka yelled, stopping her captain halfway down the hall. "There's two people right at the end of this hallway… both males… and unarmed." Ayuka focused in on the corner, only to gasp and drop down into a defensive position. "Get back!! One of them has fire powers, and the other…" She didn't finish her sentence as Ace walked around the corner, no emotion on his face. An audible gasp could be heard from the group, but especially Alessa. "…Ace?" she whispered, relaxing bit.

"Ace!" Alessa cried, not caring if she sounded too happy for her own good. Running towards him, she escaped the grasp of her comrades. "You're alright! Come on, we're going to get you out of here!" She grabbed his arm and started tugging him towards the exit, only to find that he didn't budge from his spot. "Ace? They're gonna catch us if you don't hurry--" It took her a second to realize that something was off. "Ace… what's wrong with you? What did they do to you?!" She cried, looking into his dead eyes. "Get away from him Captain!" Elliot cried out, already sensing that something was very, very wrong. "Behind you!" Ayuka yelled, reading the screens her scanning powers enabled her to see. "Pyrokinesis user at 10 o'clock!" The rest of the team crouched down into defensive positions, prepared to fight or to save their captain if they needed to.

He realized something was wrong the moment the witch stopped talking. Her body's aura, the one he held an affinity to, had suddenly altered back to its normal sense. It made him sigh despite himself. Once he's made a link to an aura, he feels an itch whenever it changes. Having it return to normal was like someone finally scratching that itch.

"Kiko," he whispered. Never had he used this nickname til now, but he felt slightly out of breath when she looked up and their eyes met. Then her mouth opened and she let loose a piercing scream. 'Oh, god. This is much better than her last one,' he thought as he shuddered with glee. This was the girl that drew him so explicitly. The one who both loved and feared him. The one he loved and feared to lose. It was this final conviction that helped him continue to cause her pain while he bent the rules his creator dictated to help her.

Keeping her hands pinned, Palian was able to avoid being punched or scratched, but her frantic kicking did manage to do some minor damage. The demon groaned softly after enduring the assault to his newly discovered anatomy, his eyes squinting just slightly. Palian drooped his head to steady his racing heart and heavy breathing.

When he heard the witch's telltale voice, he lifted his head again, a smile brightening his face.

"As a matter of fact I did, see?" he growled as he pressed his lower body against her. He still was sore from being kicked, but it was obvious that he was also excited by the terrified encounter. "Thanks for the appetizer," he taunted as he leaned back again.

"How about we move on to the main course?"

"You don't waste anytime now do you." The witch said with a giggle. This was really was a game to her. The witch really just wanted Tsukiko dead. She didn't care who else it caused pain to. The minute Tsukiko was dead the minute the witch was free. "Shame she doesn't have much longer to live. I was surprised though. In the course of a few hours she found some hope of living. She's lost it now. If I could I would give you a round of applause. What a wonderful little demon you are. Giving her hope and then ripping it away." The witch loved how the pieces fell into place for her. The small setback of Tsukiko having hope was nothing. The demon stopping her from killing Ryo she would never believe it would work out this well.

"Now I'm curious on what will you do next."

Tyrek let out a sharp laugh. "Sleep peacefully? I doubt it. You call this good hands? I don't think so. Kidnapping, homicide… or perhaps attempted homicide… I don't think this organization is all that good. Now, are those your true feelings for this place, or is that just what you've been brainwashed to think?" Tyrek sneered, glancing around at the others. He noted that Lynne had already whipped out a sketchbook and a writing utensil (he couldn't tell if it was a pen or pencil), and the boys moved in front of Ayuka to protect her. Elliot had his hand in a similar position to Jack's; he seemed to be charging the same type of attack in the form of light. Looking back at Jack, he sighed. "What's so good about being a follower anyway? You probably would go jump off a cliff if your boss told you to, huh? You're not living if you're not thinking for yourself!" He shouted, spreading his metal wings wide. "Alessa! Don't worry about us; we can handle him. You just focus on returning Ace back to normal!" Tyrek yelled to Alessa, his eyes never leaving his opponent.

"Who said I was worried about you guys?" Alessa replied back, smirking a bit. As the explosion went off, she covered her face from the dust and debris that went flying. Coughing from the dust and having her throat free of a choking grasp, she yelled out hoarsely. "You guys had better not loose! Otherwise I'll pound you into next week!" She yelled at her group, turning her full attention to Ace.

Looking at him, she steeled herself against the emotions running amuck in her. "So that's how it's got to be, huh?" She growled, unsheathing her twin swords. "You'd better be ready, Ace," she said quietly, looking down at the ground. "Cause I'm gonna beat the s**t out of you for getting captured and turned into a mindless servant!" At her declaration, she pointed a sword at him, giving him a death glare. She would not, could not, kill him, but she wasn't afraid of holding back with him in this state.

((Hope ya don't mind but Jack is going to bring Tyrek and himself out of the time rift to fight while Ace and everyone else remains in the time rift.))


Jack smirks and the light gave him an opportunity to use Time shuffle. This power allows those who use it to enter a world exactly the same as the the one they were in but they were the only ones in it until the time line re fixes itself and pushes them back into the Earth, different from other time powers normal time still flows so an hour in this world is an hour in ours.

Ace uses his time powers to flow through the sword and swing at Alessa's as it makes contact Alessa's swords rust and start to decay away with each slash making them more and more unstable and old. Ace after a few slashes bakcs up and rests on one knee panting as his power drains from him and his energy as well.

Jack then charges at Tyrek with the now flame sword and slashes at him; Jack a master swordsmen from all the fights he had and the training he went through while the organization held him made Jack a serious threat and as time powers don't work in this world it makes him have the upper hand with his fire abilities.'
