“Thank you so much!” Lexi told Gerard’s mom when she passed her the two potions. Free. Awesome! Hopefully some day she could pay them back for being so helpful now…

From her spot on the ground, Lexi chuckled at Lorenzo’s behavior with Flora. Those two were nuts. One second they couldn’t stand each other, then next they were hugging like best friends forever, and if Lorenzo was right, the situation would flip back soon. But they were nuts in a good way, she decided. The fact that they could make up every once in a while helped her figure out how they had stuck together for so long.

It was from her spot on the floor that she saw Gerard’s dad let the xatu in, so the xatu – Charlesworth, he had been called? – was upside down, at least until the violet shape came through the wall and woke everyone up. Rex lept to his feet, startled, and Lexi halfway rolled over at the haunter’s arrival, but she lay back down again, on her belly this time, and Rex returned to laying on top of her when it became clear that they had just been pranked in a way. Ah, ghosts

She looked to the others to see what they wanted to do first, and carefully considered the words of the psychic bird and the ghost, as well as the votes of the other kids, before she added her voice. “If things really are that crazy back at the lab, then the Oaks would probably not want to see us tonight anyways, they’ve got enough to handle.” That didn’t mean her curiosity had gone anywhere. “Though, Gerard, if you’re going anyways, I’m coming with. I came all this way to meet the Professors Oak and find out what the heck I stepped in when I agreed to go to the Howards’ yesterday. I want to be there for the debrief. Besides, you didn’t see what happened to me before we met up in that ghost town.” She looked up at him, then looked at the bird and ghost. If anyone knew what the Professors would prefer, it would be them.

(( <3 So much love up in this joint. Those of you with characters nearing sleep: I really have no more reactions for you until morning, so go ahead and get done what needs to get done, be that pokémon captures, evolutions, etc. I know for some of you it hasn't been that long, so if you want to side-quest yourself out for a bit while some shenanigans are taken care of, feel free; I'll accommodate if it's worth it ;3 Sweet.))

The growlithe sank into a defensive stance, feeling the charge in the air around it. With a bark, it thrust itself forward and sent a fireball blasting towards the magnet pokémon.

---

Charlesworth and Grimstrip shrugged at Lexi. "We know it's been a long day for you all," the bird said, his light tenor somewhat tired. "It certainly has been for us. As I said, the decision is yours, but to be sure, the professors would prefer everyone be present at the debrief."

---

Willam nodded fervidly. He had no intention of staying anywhere near Nayana. He had in fact managed to get his shirt back on and after timidly hesitating to knock on the professors' door, backed down and disappeared into the depths of the building to find a hiding place.

---

Zoidberg could tell immediately that the creature was making no attempt to delve into either his or Paul's mind. In fact, it seemed as though the mewtwo was engaging much of his etheric potential on his own body. It arched an eyebrow at Paul and finally faced him, staying a respectful distance away as it began munching its own sandwich. "My colleague has left enough insanity in his wake that roughly anything could be construed as ironic. I'm afraid I don't care to what you happen to be referring. And quite simply, there's nothing I want out of you, specifically. I kind of just want to chat - you're a big player in this, and I'm a stressed person who would like an opportunity to have an adult conversation." The voice was a rich baritone and spoke with an air that while not bored, carried with it no tension save that same sense of determination that could originally be felt. "Oh, but there is a caveat, and it's one I'm sure you're familiar with, given your apparent lifestyle and history: we may, at some point in the future, be out for one another's blood. Don't take it personally; please try to separate work from play." It paused. "We're experiencing the latter, to be clear."

"This may shock you, but I'm not used to bandying words with the people who fight me." Paul carefully excluded the idea that he killed most of those people, and he didn't talk with them because he was too busy shooting them. "Well. If you've got no conversation-starters beyond a vague threat, I'll go ahead and shoot some questions your way. Who are you, who is Dr. Terrian, who is Beatitude, and what do each of you want? What part do the children play in this game, and what is the goal of the game? Why was I chosen as a pawn in the game? Who are the other players, what are their functions, and how dangerous are they to me or to anyone I care about?"

Paul paused here. "That's a lot of questions, but you're a psychic, you're smart. Whatever you're willing to answer, I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd enlighten me. If you're legitimately neutral, you're the first I've met, and probably the only one willing to explain anything to me."
PostPosted: Fri Nov 19, 2010 12:04 pm

The mewtwo did little more than arch an eyebrow in response to Paul's onslaught of questions. "Pretentious. Slow down, and try again. I'm not Google." It calmly finished its sandwich and got up to take a kettle of tea off the stove eye.

"No, Google's dead. First things first, then. There is, unquestionably, a single thread, and thus presumably a single goal, tying together the actions of several parties." Paul paused to take the final bites of his sandwich. After clearing his mouth, he returned to his question. "I'd like to know who the parties are, who their leaders are, and what they want."

Roger floated to the left, easily getting out of the fireball's way. A stand of trees caught it in his place. From his new, slightly more leftwardly position Roger began to spin his magnets and quickly released a stream of lightning from each. The streams intermingled and branched off all along the path, almost merging into one as it struck the ground a few feet in front of the growlithe and began to move closer.

The growlithe, having never seen such an attack, hopped backwards and let out a tremendous roar at its opponent, hoping to frighten it into retreat. Without a back-up to replace Roger, though, the effect was minimal; the stream flickered and came back to life, striking the growlithe with a shower of sparks and blasting it backwards several feet. Stunned, it got drunkenly to its feet and shot an intimidating glare at Roger, hoping to weaken the creature's resolve.

---

"You're a cautious man. I understand paranoia is beneficial in your line of work, but it has no place here." The words were nonchalant as the mewtwo poured himself and Paul each a mug full of tea. "Jasmine."

((Sorry about the wait. Hydraulics. Complicated. Test. augh.))

Ramsden stood at a perfect Position of Attention while Naya had her demon hell rage going all over the place. His eyes may have been a bit wide but he chose not to move and keep a thousand yard stare rather than dare look the woman in the eye. It seemed safer for his health.
I'm pretty sure even Captain Bethkey would've turned his dress whites into dress browns upon seeing the hell that woman can unleash. He thought to himself as he carefully, oh so carefully, went to standing at ease after Naya seemed to calm down a bit. After the fireworks, Ramsden watched Juno go over to hug Willam, and then leaned down a little to return her hug when she, surprisingly, came over to hug him. Ok, so she doesn't hate me. That's good.
"So I guess you'll be staying here then?" Juno asked to both himself and Willam. It seemed clear that Willam had the intention to distance himself from Naya not only as soon as possible, but for as long as possible. He summoned all his military bearing to keep his voice from cracking in shock, and instead slowly but with a normal pace, walked over to where Nayana and Juno were, stopping about 2 paces from them, returning to at ease. "Ma'am, first of all, may I say, with that level of protection for those you care about, you would've made a fine sailor, and please take that as a compliment, as it was meant to be. Second, if it would be alright with you, would you mind if I were to room under your quarters instead? I've always enjoyed children so I could entertain Juno's younger siblings, tell a few sea stories, very age appropriate of course. The children I used to tell some to back at my MWR Child-Care station seemed to really entertain the kids there, and it's been quite a while since I've enjoyed the company of young ones. If you would prefer me to remain here though, you'll hear no complaints from me." Ramsden stated his position clearly, and while he may have felt a little safer where he was, Willam's interest in staying as far from Naya as possible was Ramsden's wishes towards Willam. Not to fond of that kid. He offered his hand to Naya as a form of courtesy and a standard show of respect towards her.

"That answers absolutely nothing," Paul replied. "If you're not willing to answer my questions, tell me outright. I don't want to waste my time and yours pestering you about things you intend to keep secret anyway. And no thanks, I'm fine."

The floating orb blinked idly, failing to notice that the glance was intended to be intimidating. Until two years ago Roger had lived his entire life on an isolated mag-farm located just slightly south of the absolute least interesting part of New Mexico where there were lots of magnemite, and lots of cactus, but not much else. The magnemite being extraordinarily docile creatures under normal circumstances, did not glare. After a moment of blankly watching the growlithe Roger began to spin his magnets again, only this time faster and faster, but no electricity arced forth. Instead the electrical buzz became louder to the point where it could be felt, then it began to shift to a higher frequency, the sound quickly became inaudible to the humans present.

Some distance back the purple ooze of Smiffy's body began to ripple and after a few seconds he transformed into rock to avoid the sound

Nayana looked at the militant man who held out his hand to her. After a few minutes, she slowly took his hand. "Thank ya for the compliment. Not sure what Juno told you about roomming..." she was about to let down the man gently but after seeing that Willam wouldn't be staying, she changed her mind. "On the other hand, so long as you can deal with kids - and it sounds like you can - you're welcome to spend the night." She cracked a smile. "And at ease soldier. You'd think I was about to rip your head off. It's not like you've gotten my Juno here in deep trouble...you haven't, have you?"

Juno sang praises so Naya relaxed again. Of course she knew that Juno was exaggerating, but if Juno was comfortable then the soldier was alright around her children.

Juno released Evie from the pokeball and showed her off to Naya. The four then left the lab and started on their way to the orphanage. Juno explained in softer detail about what happened on her journey. At first Naya was in disbelief. Then she started to rage at the thought of Paul. "But Naya, Paul is a good guy! Okay well, he protected me! Then again...he did the best he could to help me on my journey?" Okay, plan of action: Naya and Paul must never meet. Ever. And if they do, they will be disarmed and at distance from each other.

Small talk continued (meaning defending Paul's character and hedging away from answering any deep questions regarding Willam) until they were passing by a very familiar shop. "Oh Naya, have you seen Gerard? Has he returned on his mission do you know?" Naya explained that he in fact HAD returned and with some friends earlier in the day. She got a little pissed knowing she was the last of the kids to return, but sobered at the thought that at least she got to return. She'd have continued home to see her family ( not to mention entertaining Ramsden with her highly volatile relationships with family), but an absol and a strange girl popped out of Gerard's home.

"Uhhh hi there?" The absol came out of the building first and was staring at Juno with some sort of strange stare. "Hey, wanna tell your absol that I mean no harm?" Juno was unafraid and scratched the back of her head. "You know, I don't think I've seen either of you before. Are you part of the friends Gerard brought back?" She then stared at the white animal and said, "this guy here is not very sociable is he?" Apparently that was enough for it because it turned away and sat beside the sickly girl.

----------

Alex was sitting on the ground waiting for a unanimous decision from the group when Lance suddenly stood up and stared at the door. When he started scratching at it, the ex-drug addict got up and opened the door. Maybe he's got to go to the bathroom?

Instead of that, she found herself facing the scariest image in the world: Naya walking towards her. A small blond girl (who looked really roughed up) was walking beside her and a closer look revealed her to be Juno Galladeigh. The other child she'd have had to kill once upon a time. The child that was able to defend herself AND SURVIVE a meeting with the Bishop. And a third member showed himself as a soldier.

And Lance wanted to go and meet these people. Oh no. No no no no no. We're not doing this now. She wasn't sure what Lance wanted, but couldn't it have waited till Juno was alone? She was ready to drag Lance back inside but then Juno spoke. Frick! Now I have to answer. "I'm very sorry, but this absol doesn't listen to people...actually, we're still getting used to each other..." The Juno standing in front of Alex was not like the profile she'd gotten from Beati. Not by a long shot. "My name is Alex Tourmaline. I'm not from around here...you're right, I traveled with Gerard."

When Lance sat right beside Alex, she couldn't help but wonder if the point of this was for them to meet. If so, then why? What are you trying to achieve? She sincerely hoped one of the other kids would come outside and help her out; it wasn't so much that she didn't want to talk but more so she didn't want to be alone with Naya standing a few feet away (and the black woman did not look too happy at the moment).

Gerard couldn't help cracking a weary smile at Lexi. For a girl that just this morning was helpless and quiet, she was very stubborn. But he supposed he was too - as was Alex, and with his luck, Lorenzo too.

Oh, the dynamics of their group.

He sighed. Time to take the lead again, hopefully for the last time today. Standing, he put his iced tea aside and said, "All right. Lexi, you're with me. Lorenzo, help my sisters and parents to prepare a place for everyone to sleep - and please, introduce yourself and be at home with them. Same goes for you, Al...ex?"

He turned, but she was gone. Where had she...? Oh, the door was open. Gerard walked to the door and leaned his head out, quickly spotting Alex and Lance. They were talking to Naya, and a man that Gerard didn't recognize, and...Juno! Filled with relief at her safe return, Gerard came fully out of the house and smiled brightly at her.

"Juno! You're safe!" The happiness in his voice would likely melt Naya's heart, but he didn't really notice. "I don't suppose you're headed to the Oaks' place? I still have to debrief and deliver my Pokedex to them." He could tell something was slightly different about her, but he wasn't sure what it was just yet.

Lexi let off a yawn as she jiggled Rex off her back and straggled to her feet. Dang, why did her body have to start calling in tired now! She pressed her eyelids together a couple of times to try and get them to quit with the feeling scratchy, and felt a little better… She would much rather check in with the Oaks in the morning, but if Gerard was going now, there was no way she was missing it. Ah well, not like it was the first time she had traded sleep for satisfying her curiosity. She turned towards the Xatu and Haunter . “I guess we’re going to meet up with the Oaks now then…”

She followed Gerard out the door, Rex at her side and Phoenix on her shoulder, knowing she would feel less tired in the night air. She was surprised to find her travel partner had run into a group of people who he seemed to know. One of them was Naya from the Oaks’ labs earlier, but the other two were strangers until Gerard gave the girl a name. “Huh, so this is Juno?” She turned to the girl in question, as well as the strange man with them. “Hey, My name’s Lexi. Gerard and the Oaks dragged me up here from Woodmount.” As usual, she had forgotten her hometown’s reputation, and she was smiling broadly like she had said nothing odd, happy to be meeting one of the others that had gotten drawn into this odd mission.

((This is a collaboration post. Isa and I built it through AIM))

"So. Tell me what happened. And don't lie to me because believe you me, I'll know." Naya said, looking at Juno, a harsh warning glint in her eye.

"Uhh well...you see, I met up with this guy named Paul and he helped me out with dealing with some pretty adventurous stuff." Juno explained.

And where were you sailor?" Naya asked turning towards Ramsden.

"I uhh... actually ma'am I didn't come into the picture until far later. I managed to meet Paul right as he was separating from Juno. I'm responsible for re-supplying her and making sure she got here safe, along with continuing to follow making sure she remains safe." Ramsden explained his entrance to Juno as best he could, and let Naya continue.

"Uh-huh. Alright then. Juno, keep going."

"Uhhh....well I ended up facing off a giant meganium the size of a dinosaur, faced off a crazy redheaded girl who ended up healing me...and she tried killing me with the meganium and a gun."

"WHAT?!" Naya interjected with a cry of shock, making no attempt to stifle her voice.

"I MEAN--I fought a pokemon when Paul came and helped me out." Juno re-explained feverently.

"So why are you covered in cuts? Sailor, why is she still covered in cuts? Didn't she get healed over at Riverdale?" Naya had turned her attention back to Ramsden.

"Well, we didn't really have much time for that. I mean, I grabbed a first aid kit for her, but she was extremely anxious to get here and I didn't want to slow her down. Plus I gave her my very clean jacket, " a special emphasis on very, "so nothing would really get in them. I figured once we got down here, you'd patch her up seeing as I really wouldn't trust many to patch someone up save a woman like yourself who's raised so many children. I also just really wanted to get her where she wanted to and needed to go." Ramsden prayed Naya wouldn't kill him in his sleep for not healing her as priority number one, but they really did have to leave.

"You didn't even take the time to clean injuries?! What if they'd gotten infected?! How are--"

"Don't blame him, Naya. You know me, I'm always in a rush. And I did get healed! Not very much, I'll grant you but better than nothing!" Juno cut her off.

"Fine. Continue. And tell me about this Paul." Naya seemed to spit the name a little as it left her mouth, like uttering a small curse word.

"So after that, I was a bit worried about Paul because he appeared out of freakin' nowhere. I'm serious, I heard a pop behind me, saw some dude with an awesome hat and Paul with a bike and then he just chose to help me. Kinda weird since he was in his PJ's."

"So some weird-a** strange man came to your rescue and you STILL had to fight a damn dinosaur?" Naya turned her attention once again to Ramsden. "What's this Paul character like? Sounds more like an irresponsible ***** thought back to meeting Paul and responded with, "Uhmm, from what I saw and met, he seemed squared away. I mean, while he may not make the brightest decisions in the world from time to time, he definitely has the intention to make sure Juno's safe. Without Paul, I severely doubt Juno would be standing here right now. Again, I just met him when he was detaching from Juno, so I was with him for all of ten minutes. Uhhm, Juno seems to have high opinion of him and she spent the most time with him. She's not an ignorant child either, she's easily beyond the mental age of an eighteen year old so she knows what's good and what's not in a man. Juno would have the best reply for that question but they've gone through so much already together you'd probably need more time for the whole re-telling of what happened." Ramsden caught himself talking a little more than he should again, but he was trying to at least keep himself good in Naya's book so he figured detailed answers were the way to go.

"Really Naya, you think you could give me a little trust here? I know how to take care of myself!"

"Oh honey, YOU I trust. Him I don't and I don't like what I'm hearing. But okay, is this man old?"

"More like late 30s early 40s I think."

"Did he have a gun?"

"...I see where you're going with this and it's not good."

"Well?" Naya didn't have much patience right now.

"Yes, bu-"

"Did he ever give you a straight answer?"

"We didn't exactly have the time for that."

"Not an answer but one I'm willing to wait on. Why couldn't you get one?"

"Well....I kinda ran away from him."

"So he ISN'T a good man."

"He is! Just a little odd. Anyway, I ended up falling in a hole on the road...don't give me that look, the ground broke from under me! And there's this cult where there's this Indian woman calling herself the Light of the World--" Juno was cut off before being able to finish her hasty explanation.

"Light of the who now?" Yet again, to Ramsden. "You know of this cult?"

Ramsden shook his head quickly with a confused look on his face. "She never told me about them." He said.

"Juno..." Naya started.

"Hold on now! I don't know much about them, but they didn't really like Paul-

"And you claim he's a good man?"

"Yes. And they liked me I don't know why. But that cult was weird 'cause they were trying to drug us and the lady tried to kill us."

"WHERE THE HELL IS THIS WOMAN?!"

"I don't know but it's okay 'cause Paul made sure she didn't follow us by burning the lady's butterfrees' powder."

"...is the man a fool? That would have burned you too!"

"Uh hehehe...it kinda did...but-"

"WHERE THE HELL IS THIS FOOL?!"

"He had another mission he had to take! And we were able to escape that place in thanks to Willam!"

"Who now?"

"The kid you grabbed and tried throwing out the doors earlier?"

"Oh him." Back to Ramsden, "He doesn't seem like a good boy. Did you think he was trustworthy when YOU first saw him?"

"Willam? Well, honestly, I didn't like him. He out of nowhere snapped and came off as just plain rude when I mentioned the capacity my bike could hold. He really seems to not, excuse me, give a s**t about anything or anyone but him and Juno. I don't like him, but he's very protective of her. I'd trust her with him, but I wouldn't trust me with him from what I've seen. Maybe that will change in time, but as for now, yeah, don't like him." Ramsden tried to deliver his message honestly while keeping Willam in at least good light. Willam had done nothing to deserve being hated by Naya with no chance, and he figured that just wouldn't be fair if he messed that up. He wasn't going to lie to Naya however, and he instead hoped she would take what he said like he wanted her to.

"Well it's obvious that he cares about Juno, just don't know to what capacity. Juno hun, what's the deal with this Willam boy?

"Eh? He's a kid like me who got caught up in that cult and needed help getting out. It's not like he wanted to stay there."

"Are you SURE that's all it is?" An accusing tone leaked out of Naya's mouth.

"...what are you trying to say Naya?"

"Nothing. Nothing at all. So you escaped the cult. Then what, mewtwo popped up in front of you?"

"Well no need to make my adventure sound fake! Although that'd be awesome to see mewtwo...but no. Then it was straight to Riverdale and that's where Paul got his new mission, Willam chose to stick with me, Ramsden got his mission to babysit me, and Evie turned into a vaporeon! Isn't she adorable?"

"She is, I'll give you that. But what the hell Juno? You shouldn't have had to go through that much s**t! When I get my hands on the Oaks--"

"Believe you me, you're not the only one wanting explanations. Apparently the person I was out looking for was already on his way here so I went through all that trouble just to come back here AND STILL NOT MEET THAT MAN." Juno seemed to just let her rage fly as she spoke those last few words.

"Settle down hun. Actually, you're a lot more rambunctious than when you left. Is there something you're not tellin' me?"

"...I saw my parents' graves." Juno said after a small pause.

"Ah. Did that help?"

"Yeah. It helped a lot."

"That's all that matters then." Naya gave Juno a half-hug, like a wordless emotional conversation before again, turning to Ramsden. "Did you know the Galladeighs?"

Ramsden look flabbergasted for a second at the "babysitting" comment, although he knew it was true. He just didn't really enjoy the terminology. He was the same way with "Petty Officer" rather than "AM2". He didn't particularly enjoy being called "petty". "Did I know them? No. Did I know of them? Somewhat. I never really payed to much attention nor was I settled in one place usually for very before making it to Riverdale and joining up with the minutemen. I had heard of Cliffshire having some form of militaristic group so my original intention was them, but I caught wind of their ways and what they do, so I flipped them off and headed instead towards Riverdale. If the Galladeighs were anything like Juno though, it truly is sad, because what we have now in this world, we need more people like that. Gung-Ho and always ready. I'm sorry for their death either way however. I lost my wife and child so I understand that pain, but I lost them while on deployment, so I hadn't seen either of them for four months when they passed. I'm just glad I left on a good note." Ramsden caught himself rambling again and stopped where he was at. "Talking a never ending torrent today." He said quietly to himself, cracking his knuckles. He waited patiently for Naya and Juno to finish their talk and stood ready to continue answering questions, which he was almost certain Naya would have more.

Naya had softened towards Ramsden at his final words. She knew for fact that Juno had too but was wrapped up with seeing the other children. Otherwise, Naya was pretty sure Juno would have said something to his final comment. Honestly, the older woman was happy that her baby had learned to let go of the memory of her parents. The teen's need to cling onto her pain and guilt kept her from really being a happy girl - sure, she was happy around her younger siblings but other than family, Juno never really smiled or talked back to anyone (unless it had to do with her ragtag family). Now it seemed Juno was on the path to recovery. Which was good in Naya's opinion (unless it meant putting her baby in huge amounts of danger).

But then Gerard opened his big mouth (his words did not melt anything of Naya's) and Naya witnessed the other effects of recovery on Juno.

"...what did you just say?!" Naya did not know it, but Juno was wearing the same angry expression that scared the s**t out of the Oak professors earlier that night. "Gerard. Do you mean to tell me that you are going to see the Oaks tonight when they couldn't even be bothered to see me? They have all the time in the world for YOU and they hid away from me from the moment I stepped in their labs?" She grabbed his shirt and shook him pretty hard. "You....they....." She let out an unintelligible mutter/growl.

Juno then let go of Gerard and stepped back taking several deep breaths. "Okay. Okay. I'm sorry. The Mission from Hell took quite a lot out of me. For the Oaks to run away from me but then extend the courtesy out to see you tonight when all I've wanted was to see them and get answers...it's pretty frustrating." There was the difference between mother and daughter it seemed; Juno at least attempted to keep herself calm. "I'm glad to see that you're still around too."

Juno did look frustrated but she was able to ignore it (if only a little) in order to talk to Lexi. "So Lexi from Woodmount eh? Kinda wishing the circumstances were better, but it's nice to meet you." Juno had no beef with Woodmount or anyone from it; she might be a little uncomfortable around the Woodmount adults, but kids were okay. "Awesome pokemon you got there," she complimented with a half smile. "The Oaks dragged you huh? Nice choice of words," she teased. "Which one did you get from the Oaks? Or are both of your pokemon from the Oaks?" Evie (who'd been right beside her) walked up to Rex and Lance and sniffed at them in greeting.

Naya turned to Ramsden while Juno talked to the kids. "Juno is gonna want to return with these kids to see the Oaks. What do you wanna do? Go back with them or keep going?" Naya knew that if the kids were to get anything out of the professors that night, it was better for Naya not to be there. She'd leave the decision up to Ramsden.

-------

Alex was studying Juno and wasn't sure if she could like the girl. Juno seemed like an energetic kid with a (un)healthy dose of anger. This girl was confident and wore her emotions on her sleeves (something that could be dangerous for the future).

She turned to look at Lance. So what is this meeting? Does he like her? Is he gonna leave me to join her? It'd make sense...Lance intensely disliked everyone but his dislike was not as strong towards the young blond girl. Then again, it was also lessening towards Lexi. Does he just like girls? He was playing nice with Evie by sniffing the vaporeon back. Evie growled and Lance looked amused at the smaller pokemon in front of him. Lance must have been teasing the vaporeon and was having fun with it. When Lance saw her eyes were on him, he rolled his eyes and licked her hand. Oh. Okay, he's not going to leave me. That's good. That's really good. She smiled at that thought.

"Huh. You and your absol have a really unusual bond, don't you?"

Alex almost laughed at Juno's words. "Yes," she replied, "We really do."
