[ ninja hahhaa. we can change the whole 'eye closed thing' and i hope she falls twisted :pokes Kana with a stick:]

Kaze, at first, smiled as he watched her progession through the air. It suddenly, however, turned to a frown as he looked up at her expression to see her eyes still shut. "Open your eyes, Kana!" he barked, his hand suddenly flying foward with his palm facing her; he focused his power to his hand before blasting a harmless bolt to force her back onto the floor. He planned on her falling, unless she opened her eyes at the last moment and reacted; he'd make her start over again if his plan succeeded.

[Well, now that you've jynxed her! xP]

Kana though she was doing just fine, until he suddenly shouted again. Her ears shot up, as they'd been flat against her head, and her eyes snapped open. "Wha-" she began, cutting off as she felt something hit her. At the same time she felt herself begin to fall, and in a sudden panic, lost every bit of focus she had. She landed flat on her back, uttering a soft grunt as she landed. "Kya, what was that for?" she frowned, rubbing at the back of her head. Her ears flattened back against her head threateningly, though she had no intention of doing anything to harm him. She was just a bit irritated.

[MWAHAHAHAHAHAH. FEAR MY POWER XD]

Kaze remained where he was, the expression of calm plastered on his face even at the threatening glare. "You're eyes were shut! How can you expect to see something coming at you if you can't see?" he scolded, his voice loud and demanding. "Open your eyes! If you had, you would've seen my attack coming and would have been able to either get out of its way, send it back, or at stop yourself from hitting the ground that hard," he continued to bark. He knew he was being mean, but how else would he make her know? Kazan and Koichi didn't move at all; they continued, like Kaze, to stand where they were with the same looks on their faces, knowing full well how Kaze trained a person. However, Koichi could only help but wonder if Kana would take what she said to heart and stop everything when it got to the peak of seriousness.

[-fears-]

Kana just continued staring at him, completely silent. Her ears remained flattened, tail around her waist tightly. After a moment, she slowly got ther feet again. Training is dumb, she thought irritably, but then glanced around at Koichi, Kazan, and Tam. They all believed in her, or so she told herself, so she couldn't let them down. And Karin would be so proud if she knew Kana was finally trying to learn! Her fists clenched slightly as she began focusing again, eyes shut. I can't let her- them- down! She scolded herself now, as she soon felt her feet lift off the ground, that strange feeling of the wind against her feet slowly becoming familiar. She winced for a moment, and then very slowly eased her eyes open. She wobbled for a moment, arms waving to catch her as she began to topple backwards. But then she suddenly realized that feeling of the air was against her back now, and she slowly straightened again. Maybe I... am getting the hang of this! she thought hopefully. Then she turned her gaze to Kaze, trying to get ready if he planned on doing anything again.

Kaze scowled at her, but after he nodded in acceptance. "Don't just stand around! You're supposed to be trying to control it, so start controling!" he barked orders once again, "walk, glide, do something other than just standing there! Doing nothing doesn't give the illusion you're going to want; it just seems your on an invisable chair!" He knew he was sounding harsh and bossy, but he really wanted Kana to succeed in this feild. She'd thank him oneday, he knew, even though she'd loth how much he yelled.

Kana frowned, her lifting spirits sinking right back down as he shouted yet again. But she slowly nodded her head. She'd said she would try her best to do whatever he instructed, and she didn't plan on going back on that. Keeping her eyes open this time, she focused upon the air that was gathered under her feet and imagined it pushing against her a bit harder. She remembered how the grass had attacked her before, so she didn't want that to happen with herself, and suddenly go shooting up into the air. So, keeping that in mind, she managed to rise slowly. But, she was going slowly, and braced herself to be yelled at again. Though, she'd drilled it into her head to keep her eyes open.

Indeed, Kaze started yelling again. "Kana, you can't expect to out drift a firefly at even that speed! Faster!" He knew he was starting to get it into her head of what he wanted, when he was going to yell and what he was expecting of her. "It's always like a game; stay at least one step in front of your opposer!" he shouted, his arms crossed over his chest once again. Find that loop hole, Kana! I know you can if you think about it! I don't want to continue being this mean to you if I can help it... he thought, his gaze softening for a brief moment.

Kana frowned again, but didn't respond. She had no right to argue, after asking for his help. If anything, she should be greatful, right? But that was becoming increasingly hard. You're used to being yelled at, she told herself firmly. This is nothing you can't handle! But at that thought, her mind suddenly wandered back to the past yet again. It seemed to be doing that increasingly often. An image replayed in her mind, and though her eyes were wide, she could see it clearly. It was when Karin had been given the wound that had now become that large scar along her side, because she'd been trying to protect Kana. Kana's hands clenched and she began growling in her throat. That's right, Karin had been dragged into everything simply because of Kana's own inability to protect herself.

Kana raised her head suddenly, eyes flashing entirely white for just an instant before returning to the normal bright blue. "A game..." she muttered, almost bitterly, as she repeated part of Kaze's words. "A game with such high stakes as your own or others lives?" Her hands clenched a bit tighter. She'd been losing that game all her life, and now she was sick of it. If, for any reason, she was going to learn it would be so she wouldn't have others always worrying about her anymore. Koichi had seemed so worried warning her about this training, and she didn't know what Tam and Kaze had been talking about earlier. And then there was Karin, jumping in to defend Kana even before they knew each other. She wanted to show them she could look after herself!

She suddenly shot up into the air, then stopped just as abrupty. She crouched, hovering in mid air, as she stared down at Kaze. It felt like she was simply standing on an invisible floor, looking through, though at the same time she could feel it moving constantly under her feet. Her clothes were billowing out slightly, hair blowing around her face, and her tail had finally unwrapped itself from her waist. It began flicking absently behind her again as she watched Kaze with an uncharacteristic coldness, waiting for further instruction.

Sighing softly he traced a patter in the ground with the dirk that he had reccently drew. Laying on his side he looked up at Kana's progression. He really had no idea what to do with this kind of training since when he was training he was pressed to learn quickly. He was only given enough time to learn the basics before they gave him something irreplaceable, battle experience. Hearing Kana's abrupt comment he turned up to her and spoke not really caring if she heard or not.

"We might think of it as a game, but don't think that means we don't take it seriously", he said quietly as he began to play with his dirk. His head turning to the other then back to Kana he chimed,"It's not houw do it, but how you want to."

[:pokes the siggy: i have 3 K charies xD and i think i said that about... a week ago, right Kaori-chan? xp ]

Kaze's head suddenly turned to Tam, eyes cold and heartless. "We're trying to teach her concentration, will you please stop talking?" he hissed softly enough for Tam to hear. "The least you could do since you claim you want to help is spot her like Kazan and Koichi are doing. If not, then just shut your yap." He turned his head, having said his little arguement, his eyes turning back to their calm blue. "Good, Kana," he called up to her, "I don't know what you thought about," he started, knowing full well, "but keep it up and you'll be past the first few basics in no time." His temper had now turned to understanding as he talked up to her, rather than the yelling he'd been doing. Karin... who's Karin? Do I know this Karin? he thought to himself, still tapped into her thoughts, weither she knew it or not, She needs to find that loop hole; if she doesn't, then this training will become emense and I won't be able to make it easier for her.

[I have three K characters too. >>;; And yes! ^^;]

Kana blinked, seeing Kaze turn to face Tam after he had spoken. Her ears tilted towards him, but she couldn't catch his words. How I want to? But she tried to push it off as Kaze praised her again, for the first time in a while it felt like. She breathed out slowly, letting her fists unclench. She suddenly realized just how high up she was, but didn't let her mind wander about it any further than that. Instead she began to think about what Zuno had told her when he'd cast a spell to let her fly for a short time. Just think the direction I want to go, she thought to herself, unaware that Kaze had the ability to hear. "Forward..." she breathed, voice barely audible even to herself. She stood straight again and felt the wind shifting under her feet, and then increase slighlty as it pushed into her back. She began moving forward at a fairly steady pace.

Kaze continued to look up at her before two spots on his back started to glow gold, again, before his wings burst out, shattering the gold like broken glass. He crouched down before pushing himself, spiraling for a moment for fun, before he flew above Kaori, his back to her. "Haven't you ever seen superman movies?" he asked her, swooping down in front of her before steading himself below her; his back had always been to her till this point, in which it looked like he was just lying down with his arms, yet still, crossed. "He just relaxs like this, and... flows like a river," he grinned, hoping she even knew what he was talking about. ...Now who's Zuno. DAMNIT! How many people does she know that give her modivation... although, that is a big help so I shouldn't be complaining, he thought, still looking up at her.

[i hope she ain't wearing a skirt o.O ::just realized:: although... she's still in a bathingsuit... i still hope she ain't wearing a skirt >< if she is, i'm sorry!! gonk ]

[Kana knows not to wear skirts, because she's too active and prone to climb things at random. xD;;]

Kana froze suddenly, looking back down towards Kaze as she saw the glow. Her eyes widened as his wings burst out, and she wobbled a moment in surprise before catching herself. She crouched down again, once more sitting upon that invisible floor, as her eyes followed him, full of awe. I wish I had wings! she thought. Even if she could levitate herself, she didn't have any amazing looking wings sprouting from her back. But then she shook from her thoughts, listening to Kaze's words. 'Superman?" she echoed with a small laugh. Of course she had! With a big grin on her face, she suddenly flopped forward onto her stomach. She dropped about an inch before feeling the wind pushing against her to hold her up.

[crap, what have I done?!?!? xD :takes back superman comment: ninja ]

Kaze started to laugh softly, watching her superman immitation. "Not bad, Kana, not bad at all. I suggest keeping the bodyform lain out like that; it looks better than standing up. Unless, that is, you decide to make the allusion that you're walking on an invisible floor," he continued on, his voice light and chipper; it was like he had random mood swings. His right wing flapped once before he was straightened out to a standing position, having stopped laughing, and his arms crossed over his chest once again. "Now, Kana, I want you to try your powers from up here," he ordered, waiting for her to be done with her flying lesson. "AT times, you're going to need to attack your opponant from the air, or at least defend yourself from up here. If you wish not to preform such, try a defense mecanism such as a distraction to make an escape," he said, looking at her with a serious expression.

[i'm not sure if I used allusion right ><]

[Bwahaha xD]

Kana stared down at him, grin fading very slightly as he began to laugh. But, she had to admit, she prefered him laughing over yelling. She nodded as she took in his words, then blinked as he suddenly righted himself and crossed his arms again. She sat up as well, legs crossed as if she were sitting on solid ground again. Her tail was still flicking behind her, instead of wrapping around her waist. A sign that she was no longer very nervous. She actually thought she was getting the hang of this fairly fast.

She stared at Kaze for a moment, consdering his words. She didn't really know what he meant by a defensive mechanism... Maybe if she blew up some dirt into her opponent's face? But she didn't want to try that, so instead she let her eyes scan the ground until she'd picked out another clump of grass. She stared fixedly at it and after a moment's pause, the grass began blowing around, threatening to be pulled up again. Though, she wasn't exactly sure what she was trying to do.

[I think it's illusion.]
