((I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in what seems like years. Thanks for not throwing me out Krazy. And I'm sorry Flan.))

Awareness came slowly to Ainsley, who never was a morning person. First, that this was not her bed. It was way too soft, and there weren't any springs digging into her skin. With a groan, she rolled over, pulling the covers over her head. It took her a moment to convince herself that she had to get up. In a muffled voice, she called, "Becca? Sorry for crashing here. It was one hell of a night." And she couldn't remember, but she was almost sure that her tips sucked. This was a frequent occurance: whenever she worked double shifts, she would spend the night at her friend Rebecca's, which was very close to the restaurant she waitressed at.

Refusing to let the sun blind her any more, she continued talking into her pillow, sure that Becca would throw something at her if she didn't hear her. "I had the weirdest dreams. There was a Batman dream. And The Joker was leading me someplace." She screwed up her face, as if she were trying to remember. "It was like a demented Joker that failed...but he was still creepy, just not Heath Ledger. I kept waiting for Batman to show up, and save me, or something at least. But he never did, how screwed up is that? The other one was just embarrassing. I was a complete slut with some guy I-" Ainsley cut herself off, frowning. Rebecca hadn't commented at all, not even a chuckle. Was she downstairs? If she was, then breakfast would be done soon. It was enough to make her sit up, barely. Squinting, she slowly opened her eyes. Her first reaction was to scream. This was definitely not the purple room covered with pictures of Gerard Way she'd spent so many nights in.

The shriek barely lasted a moment, but the start was enough to actually get her mind to start working. The letter. Right. She had run away and come here. Wherever here was. And the guy who led her to this room wasn't the Joker: the real one talked a lot more. Running a hand through her hair, she remembered the other 'dream' was also true. Even in the solitude of her room, she couldn't help the blush that shone on her cheekbones.

Seeing an attached bathroom, she pulled herself out of bed and headed for it. She couldn't help but laugh that even mostly asleep, she'd taken the effort to put away almost all of her supplies. Still, she couldn't help but grimace herself in the mirror. After all the work she'd done settling in, she'd left her pigtails in. Hair stuck out from the weaves at random intervals, and she knew that there wasn't anything she could do with the brunette strands but let them hang. Quickly, she unbraided her hair. Carefully, she spread her moouse throughout her hair. The effect was almost instanteous: her hair fluffed out smoothly, the previous frizz disappearing.

After washing her face and brushing her teeth, Ainsley returned to the main part of her room. Yesterday, she wore her uniform, since her mother had believed she was waiting for the bus. Today was her chance to show she had some fashion sense. A few years ago, she and her mother had learned to sew. Therefore, most of her clothes were handmade: she followed popular patterns though, so most people could not tell the difference. She picked a brown tank top with black embrodiery, thanks to her mother, throughout it. She also chose a khaki skirt, which was about an inch about the knee; it was stylish, but there wasn't a chance for anything to happen. After choosing her outfit, she finished unpacking. Pulling out a drawer, she blinked, surprised by the letter resting on top of the dresser. Curious, she plucked it up, opening it immediately.

Dear Ainsley Huntington,

It is wonderful to know that you have wanted to figure out about my previous letter. I thank you for trusting me and for coming to stay with me in my home. You shall find that my reasons are well reasonable and you should find your stay as comfortable as possible.

I know you have alot of quesions and I shall answer them all...in due time. Today I have schedualed a meeting with all of my guests in a room that you will find by going through a scavenger hunt. You shall need to answer the riddles you find at each place and each will take you to another place and another till you find the room of which I shall be waiting for you. There is a time limit but I wouldn't worry about that yet. I shall let you know via intercom what that time is.

As for now I am sorry that you have missed breakfast and you are probably hungery. I shall help you with the first clue, which is enclosed. Your help is also on that clue. I shall see you at the deadline!

Sincerly,
Dakota Williams

Reading the note, she couldn't help but grin. Though she always acted very mature, Ainsley frequently enjoyed simply playing around. Though this might actually have a purpose, she took it as a game. Pulling out the clue, she grimaced. Knowing it was the kitchen was easy. Finding the room was the real challenge.

After dressing hurriedly, she left the room, in search of Anna and Aya instead of the kitchen. In a soft voice, she called out each of their names. It would make sense that all of the guests would be on the same hall, so the two of them practically had to be nearby. Relief filled her at Anna's friendly face, so much so that she broke out into a run, reaching her quickly. Wrapping her arms around in her in a hug, she murmured, "God, I'm so glad to see you."

Sasha laid curled within herself. If she wasn't mistaken, she was laying horizontally on the bed. When she straightened one leg, her suspicions were confirmed. In a vain attempt to compensate for another's body heat, she wrapped her comforter tightly around her. Still mostly asleep, she automatically rolled over onto her stomach, moving down the bed. From her starting position, the bed was shorter than 'usual' and she fell off, her knees hitting the soft carpet of the floor.

With a groan, she freed herself from the confines of her quilt. She never slept well alone. Never had since she was a virgin. Maybe she could get a dog for these rare occasions that she was alone. Weren't Great Danes practically human size? One of those should be able to make up for a missing person. She toyed with the idea, procrastinating leaving the soft comfort of her bed.

Only a glance at her clock convinced her to get up. It was ten in the morning. Beauty took time, even one as natural as hers. If Sasha was going to have enough time for breakfast (she believed those Special K commercials,) she was going to need a shower now. Considering she never bothered with a nightgown, she walked straight to the bathroom, turning on the water. She finished in record time for her: 25 minutes instead of her usual 40 (she didn't need to shave.)

Pulling on her usual maid outfit, which had a skirt that barely reached her wrists when she hung her arms. It only took a few minutes for her to do her make up. Slipping on a short pair of heels to show off her already alluring legs, she left the room in search of coffee. Previously, she'd considered putting one in her room, but she knew that only using caffeine to continue sex, usually ended up with her passed out.

She quickly made her way through the halls, coming into the kitchen. It surprised her that a couple of the guests had made it to the kitchen already. Yoh was...making love to the toaster? Okay...maybe his fetish actually was too weird for her. She never expected to find that. The young boy, Luce-something or another, she wasn't sure he was of age, so he only got a moments glance. Izzy was longer, but she needed to be closer in order to know if his need to be alone had continued into today. And the new boy....how old was he? Just to be safe, she just gave him a coy look as she went straight for the coffee o machine.

After getting herself a cup, she looked about the room, a smirk in her eyes, “So boys…who do I get to reward this morning for starting the coffee?” Her tone turned seductive, just sultry enough to assure the new boy of her experience. Meeting his eyes, and licking her lips once, she broke eye contact, heading towards Yoh and Izzy: close to the cereal boxes.

After pouring herself a bowl of Special K, she turned and pushed herself up onto the counter. There she sat, eating her breakfast and not particularly caring that anyone who entered could easily see up her skirt. As she enjoyed the few chocolate pieces in her breakfast, she glanced at Izzy, giving him a true smile with very little flirtatiousness. Leaning over, she whispered into his ear, "You doing okay, baby?"

Anna, after searching for about half an hour and not finding anyone, eventually realized that she was left to her own devices. Painfully, she stared at each letter until she could identify what it was. When she came to a space, she went back and read the whole word. It was a slow, frustrating way to get through a letter, each word stopping and going back to the beginning, each time adding another word. She was only about four or five words in by the time she could feel her eyes watering, along with going in separate directions. Besides, all she could tell from the letter was that it was addressed to her(she had a pre-identified knowledge of what her name looked like written down), and that something was wonderful. This sort of thing is not useful if you cannot finish the letter, and Anna was quick to figure out that she was not going to get through it any time soon.

Sighing, Anna folded the letter up, looking up only to see Ainsley approaching. Quickly. Hm.

She didn't shrink away from the hug, as she would have done for her mother, but then again, her mother hardly ever meant well, and her hugs gave you the feeling that they were suffocatingly tight on purpose. This one was different than any other hug she'd received. Sure, she'd gotten several hugs from her ex before, but then they usually ended with him attempting to feel her up and her slapping him. Anna was pretty sure that wasn't Ainsley's intention, so she hugged the older girl back, realizing yet again that she was much shorter than her. "You too," She mumbled into Ainsley's shirt. "But probably not for the same reasons." Anna broke away and unfolded the letter, then handed it to Ainsley. "Can you read this for me?"

~!~

Yoh glanced to where Sasha was, but didn't worry himself with her presence. She'd come in on him pretending to have left his wife for a toaster, and if that turned her off, good for him. It was irritating when someone was on your back all the time. Especially if they were trying to be sexy. That just made it hard to breath. Or at least, work. And he was getting paid to work, no matter how little he did, and thus how little he was paid. Hey, it was money.

Seeing as how Yoh had all the help he needed and was committed to an excessive display of love and affection for his prized toaster, he quickly turned away from the cook and simply observed the various guests of the house. Sasha arrived and moved near. "I'm well," he replied quietly. Feeling edgy, he decided to reach just beyond his comfort zone and snatch her coffee mug for a gulp of java. He immediately made a disgusted face, a small grunt, and passed it back. "Not hot enough." Izzy shook his head to emphasize his distaste and his point, then went to make himself a bowl of cereal. He didn't even pay attention to which box he picked up.

Frosted Flakes, to match your flaky behavior. You twiztid little man, you need help. So much help. Uriel made sure to emphasize and enunciate each adjective clearly, and the was a smirk in his voice.
You can't help those who don't want to be helped, my winged Aryan friend. I suppose we could just pester him until he beats his brains out, though. Do the world a favor.
Or you could be quiet for once in my life. Surprisingly, it seemed to work. At least, for now.

The silent conversation ended just in time; Isaac had almost overfilled his bowl with milk. He began eating as soon as the lid was secured on the jug.

Lysander had finished his light breakfast/lunch when the maid came in. Lysander didn't do or say anything big, just raised his eyebrows and looked her up and down. He grabbed a cup of coffee after her, and took a drink. He grimaced at the cup. Not strong enough. Not to mention it was not exactly fresh. Lysander started drinking from his cup when the maid, who he could safely discern that she followed all meanings of the word 'slut', had hopped onto the counter, leaving the view up her skirt plain to see. Lysander took a quick look, then smirked into his cup as he downed the rest. Yeah, he knew her type. He wondered momentarily if they were on the same playing field when it came to experience. Lysander doubted it. She seemed the type to need someone every few nights, if not every. At least Lysander could last a while.

Ainsley grinned down at the girl as she took the letter, "So you got one too?" she asked moving to her side. She read it aloud, keeping it in Anna's view, even though she couldn't read it.

Dear Anna Kosa,

It is wonderful to know that you have wanted to figure out about my previous letter. I thank you for trusting me and for coming to stay with me in my home. You shall find that my reasons are well reasonable and you should find your stay as comfortable as possible.

I know you have alot of quesions and I shall answer them all...in due time. Today I have schedualed a meeting with all of my guests in a room that you will find by going through a scavenger hunt. After she finished, she couldn't help making a face. "It's the exact same as mine. You think if she went through the trouble of writing everyone's, she'd at least make it somewhat different. Personally, I'd have typed it." She turned to look at Anna, "Do you have the clue? It's pathetically easy." She ran a hand through her hair, and recited it somewhat from memory, "I think it's: "Food is abundant here, and so are different ways to cook it." She shrugged slightly. "The major problem is finding the kitchen. This mansion is like 50x bigger than my house. I don't even know where to start."

The cute little maid did not miss Lysander's obvious look over. She winked at him, but she kept most of her attention on Issac. 'I need to find his chart. Though if he's underage, he's close.' Promising herself to not touch him, she knew she couldn't not flirt, she tried to remember who led the firery redhead. If she wasn't mistaken, it was Yoh....but then again she could have been. Either way, it was a chance to meet Yoh in his room, and away from his beloved toaster.

She was surprisingly glad that Issac was better this morning. Apparently a lot better, considering he forwardly, took her mug for a sip. She couldn't help but laugh at the adorable look on his face. She set the mug behind her as he got himself breakfast, since she wasn't about to try it afterward. When he returned with his cereal, she reached over, cupping his face, and kissed him. It was a quick kiss, though deep. A smirk came on her face as she pulled back, "There, now the taste should be out of your mouth."

Caught completely by surprise, Isaac stumbled and spilled a small portion of milk and cereal on the counter. His stupefied gaze landed first on the bowl before shifting to Sasha. It took him several moments to regather himself and determine a response. "Yeah... Uh, well... yeah." Isaac hung his head over his cereal bowl, letting his hair hide his embarrassment. Slowly, he began to eat; the spillage was already erased from his mind.

What a miserable twit, Uriel mumbled in young Murdock's mind, ruining the mental silence.
No s**t! Man up, assert yourself! You should've been balls deep twenty minutes ago you weakling. There's no end to the pathetic moments in your life.
Is there no end to your incessant taunting? Burn in Hell, was Izzy's retort to his imaginary tormentors. He took a deep breath. I can't take this anymore. He needed to take his pill, but he was self-conscious about doing so in the kitchen; none of them knew, and he didn't like personal questions. So he finished chewing the spoonful of Frosted Flakes and then headed for the nearest hallway in silence, leaving his breakfast unattended.

Once in the hallway, he didn't even check to see if he was being followed. He popped the cap, dropped two pills in his hand, and tossed them back. Relief would soon overwhelm him. Just the thought was enough to put him at ease for the moment.
You're so pathetic you have to wash us away with drugs. I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing you in Hell. Have fun being a buzzkill.

Then again, maybe not.

Sasha frowned, suddenly feeling somewhat bad. He had requested to keep their relationship, if what they had could be called that, quiet with the other guests. It was rare for the voluptuous woman to feel guilty or slutty, but this seemed to be one of those times. 'Just had to kiss him, in front of a guest no less. God, why can't I keep my hands to myself for one minute?' She watched him hide his face as he ate, chewing on her lip silently. She saw his departure as an opportunity to apologize. She knew that guys never appreciated sentimental moments in front of other guys, so the hallway, hopefully, would be empty.

She waited a few moments, finishing her bowl of Special K, trying to keep the others from guessing she was following him. Still, her pace was slightly rushed, her heels clicking on the kitchen tile, as she left through the arched door. "Issac?" It surprised her that he was still right outside the door: she had expected him to already be at his room. She watched his head go back as he took the pills, but it took a few moments afterward for her to place the movement. Her eyes widened. What the hell? "What 'cha taking?" her voice was harsh, and her eyes had turned steely. It surprised her that she wanted to actually help him through his addiction then drop him.

He turned suddenly, dropping the bottle. Luckily, the cap was already on or it would have been all over the hallway, and then he really would have a problem on his hands. He stuttered for a moment, bent halfway to pick up the bottle, then stopped and stood up. He took two deep breaths, but it didn't do anything in the way of calming him nor did it forbid his cheeks to turn red. "I..." Another deep breath.

"I'm a schizophrenic." There was a pause so he could let it sink in. "So... I occasionally take medication to stifle the voices." Yet another deep breath. He was really shaking; he should probably sit down, but there was nowhere to plant his a** in the hallway. He looked around with shifty eyes, unable to meet her gaze since he explained himself. What will she think? What can I--will I do? Can I... I can't do anything. Just have to... Just have to wait it out. In the meantime, he tried to preoccupy himself by collecting the medication from the carpet and tucking it away. When he stood up, he nervously tried to examine Sasha's reaction.

Her dark brown eyes lost their anger instantly, and surprise filtered into them with each blink. Her first clear thought was embarrassingly dumb, 'For how long?' Mercifully, when she opened her mouth to ask it no sound came out. For all she knew, it was a life long condition. The A she got in Psychology was not from knowledge of mental states, it was more physical positions. All she really knew about it was from watching A Beautiful Mind, if that even was what Russel Crowe had. She licked her lips, grimacing minutely at the taste of her lipstick, and tried again. "Well, I'm glad you're not a drug addict." She was a jerk, assuming he was. How many nights had she spent with him? He hadn't shown any signs of it before. He was a little uncouth, but she'd never seen him having a conversation with someone who wasn't there.

She ran her hands through her hair, fluffing it. Was everyone in this house crazy? Was that some hiring requirement that Dakota had? ...Wait, then what was wrong with her? Mentally she slapped herself, she was being really selfish thinking about herself. And this wasn't what was her name...she always had trouble remembering names unless she repeated it over and over screaming. N something, Nina? No, it was something normal, probably Nikki. She'd slept with a hundred Nikkis. But this wasn't Nikki, she couldn't just turn around and walk away. This was Izzy, her friend, well, the closest person she'd had in a while. And she did care, even if she wasn't good at showing it without physical contact. "Is there anything I can do to help?" It was a ridiculous question, but it was the best way she could think of showing she was there for him however. She saw his face once he stood up again, and she reached over gently cupping it with her hand. "I may be shallow as hell, but I'm not gonna just say 'Screw You' and go. We're-I-you're important to me." She sighed a little, apologizing was something she rarely did and even more rarely meant, "And I'm sorry, for earlier and now." She gave him a small smile, and leaned forward, kissing him tenderly.

When she finally answered, he was rather relieved, and expressed it with an audible exhalation. He even gave a small smile; she thought he might be a drug addict? And then it was quiet again for quite some time. During that time several questions ran through his head.

What is she thinking? What could she possibly be thinking? Is this going to ruin our friendship?

They were all thoughts along this line, but eventually she broke the silence. "No, there isn't, really. Just... don't let it change anything." His smile grew. "No, it's okay. Really, I--" The rest of the sentence was interrupted by Sasha's lips. Not that he minded; he leaned in slightly, and then too much. He stumbled and almost fell on the maid, but he caught himself. He withdrew quickly, staring at the floor. "Um... I'm going to... Finish breakfast." He glanced at her twice, and his mouth managed to twitch into a weak smile for a brief second before he walked back to the kitchen. His expression was placid once more and the blush was all but gone.
