Aithne stumbled into the Main Room, falling into a soft chair. She was tired, cold, wet through, and didn't remember the past week. She curled up into a shivering ball. Who knew vampire's could get cold? "A... at least I'm b... back in the C... Coven..." she muttered to herself.

"You seem a tad cold my dear."
David's voice echoed from a darker corner of the main hall. He watched the girl step wearily into the room and curl up into a soft chair, and he felt curious and somehow drawn to her. Ignoring everyone else in the room was a job done best by him, especially now with all the commotion, considering his attention was taken by the chilled girl.
David stepped out from the darkness and into the dim light of the lamps. He moved to the chair quietly, shutting his book and adjusting the not-so-required reading glasses. Leaning down he looked at her, a tower from above.
"Pity. The ability to feel must be grand. I envy you." He smiled gently, setting the book on a nearby side-table. "Do you need a blanket? Dry and clean clothes perhaps?"
David's eyes remained locked onto her the entire time.

Aithne's beautiful crystal eyes looked up at him. "I... I should be f... fine... thank you..." she said stubbornly, her soft irish accent, and quiet tone making her words sort of lisp together. She didn't want to be a burden, and she was suspicious about this new vampire. Others didn't ordinarily care to talk to her. She then thought of something. "D... do I know you?" It was very possible she had met the person in the past week and didn't remember him.

"Hmmm, I'm not sure very many here know me, let alone you, I tend to stay in the room they provide for me." David moved from the spot he was in and calmly stepped over to another chair to her right, seating himself promptly.
"Plus I don't commune with the others here, after a while, they all become the same in my eyes." David paused for a moment, re-examining her and her condition.
"You do seem a tad bit chilled. Being stubborn only goes so far, you may not die of the cold or wet, but it still is an inconveniance. Especially since you can still feel."
[She's obviously still young...] David thought to himself, [...I don't remember the last time I was able to feel. Well, either she's young, or her ability to have the sense of touch and feel remains an active trait. Is this envy I feel?] He chuckled lightly as he thought to himself. [Perhaps more along the lines of jealousy? Hmph.]

Aithne looked at the ground for a moment, still retaining a stubborn position, but soon gave in. "If i... it wouldn't be a bother..." she whispered. 'Why can I still feel? I'm over 500 years old. I should have numbed by now... oh well... at least I didn't know him and then forgot...'

David nodded lightly and stood from his chair.
"I'm not sure where your chambers are so I'll fetch you a blanket instead of fresh clothing, you'll have to get those yourself."
As David finished he snagged his book from the side-table and left for the staircase.

Aithne let out a trembling breathe. Thank god... warmth was only moments away. She quietly waited, curled up in her chair, shivering. She shakily took off her boots and wet socks, curling her pale feat under her, as well as her trench coat, which she threw across the chair to her left. Best to take off as much wet clothing as possible.

Stepping down from the stairs, David carried a thick wool blanket in his arm. Apparently leaving his book and reading glasses in the room, David ignored the others in the room and their petty sqabbles or enchanting conversations about feasting and killing, and simply walked past them all towards the cold girl. Arriving to the chair, he leaned against the back, staring down at her.
"So, do you have a name or are you going to be the 'cold girl who sat in the coven's main hall' to me for the rest of eternity?"
He smiled lightly as he tossed the blanket ontop of her.

She quickly pulled the blacket over her and looked back up at him. "Aithne. And yours?" she asked, feelinjg quite a bit better now that she wasn't so cold.

David let out a small sigh, moving from the back of the chair to the adjacent seat a few paces away. Seating himself, he moved about a tad, getting comfortable. He then returned his attention to Aithne.
"Pleasure to meet you Aithne. As I said before, I am not often seen out of my own chambers, mainly due to the fact that this coven is nothing special to me. While on the subject, this is the first time I've been out here this long, I was simply looking in the library down here for a book I did not have in my own collection."
Slowly his smile faded to a half-grin as he became aware of a fact, this was the first time in decades that he'd had conversation with anyone else, let alone another of his kind. David did not hate the Vampire race, but he did not like them either. He was a Vampire. An walker of the eternal night. This he could not change. Neither could he change the fact that he was not going to die anytime soon. Knowing this, it would be pointless to avoid all interaction with his kind, centuries of loneliness only leads one to insanity. [A point I have been to before...] he thought to himself.
"My name is David." He said, returning his attention to the now.

Arianna moved quietly walking into the Main room her hair was tied back in a long braid and her body was shown in a tight fitting blood red corset. Usually if she were out in public she would be wearing a long coat but she wasn't she was in a known safe place. She moved almost silently looking through the room since she had not been here that long.

She did a small bow of the head. "A pleasure to meet you as well, David. And I do believe I can understand why you choose not to leave your room. I think I might have been the same way if I hadn't needed to look for my brother for close to five centuries," she responded quietly with a small smile.

"To pursue one's kin for so long, must be a burdensome journey. Have you considered the possibility that perhaps your brother may no longer be living?" David's expressions grew more concerned and serious as he spoke. He knew the position he was taking by asking such a question was blunt and rough, but it was a plausible option that he thought she should consider. [Wait a minute...] he thought, [...why am I trying to help? What good does this bring me? Sure, you may know how it feels to go without kin and loved ones for a lengthy period of time, but why bother helping others? She'll need to learn the hard way, right? . . . . . . No, she should not have to go through all this struggle, just to re-capture her brother. She should not suffer like I have.] David's memories grew to conciousness, as he remembered the cold autumn day. That painful day, he would never forget. She should not have that pain. Not like he does.

"I had indeed considered that idea centuries ago. But I couldn't just give up on my younger brother. He's all that I have left. Luckily I just recently found him and he's doing well. You see he also became an immortal the same night I did. Mere moments after me. However it's foolish to constantly think of the past. There is nothing you can do except live for the future. If you can consider this living anyway," she said with a smile, letting out a quiet laugh.

"Oh, my apologies, I was not aware he had been found. My regards on his wellbeing and your success on his retrieval."
David's gentle smile returned. He indeed had known the pains of losing loved ones. So to hear that someone actually managed to prevent the loss, and the suffering that ensued, brought an odd sensation to him, something he had not felt in eons; relief.
"Forgive my intrusion, but do you often go out into the rain? It can be quite an unforgiving place at times, full of the chilling cold, the beating of the heavy rain against your skin, the darkness that usually follows. Often it is an unwelcoming enviroment." His statement knew the answer, but he asked anyhow. David had forgotten the rain. It was just another symptom of his indifference and lost sensitivity. He could no longer feel the coldness of rain. He could feel it touching his pale flesh, but he could not enjoy its sensation that followed. He could not feel the cool water trickle down his face, nor could he breathe in the fresh cool air while taking walks to relax.
David had forgotten how to feel. That's what was bothering him. He had forgotten how to sense any degree of temperature. For so long now, David has walked the planet, roaming endlessly, aimlessly. Without pain. Without happiness. Without anything. Even his emotions were going. Soon enough, within a few centuries, he would no longer know how to cry, frown...or smile. Haunted by these thoughts, he put them out of his mind for the moment, to re-consider them later on. He returned his attention to his question and the wait for her response.
