High school required reading...I think it was like a crazy to do when the school finally allowed To Kill a Mockingbird and Tom Sawyer. This I never understood because I hear the "n word" on the street at least once a day.
When I was in 8th grade we read Night by Elie Wiesel and for a whole day each class had to wear a yellow star to symbolize the treatment of Jews in WWII Germany, etc. Stupid exercise in my opinion.

Well I'm not even a real Jew and I hear "Stupid Jew" on a daily basis. I thought putting other kids through that was unnecessary. Man, I got in so many fights with jocks over that kind of stuff. Plus there was kicking and various humiliation involved (even though the school said they would not tolerate it...pft).

In my friend's school they banned Romeo & Juliet because it mentions sex. Baring in mind my friend is 15 in a Western European country and you realise how stupid this is.
Bipolar - Currently I'm maintaining hypomania, which is fairly good for my mental health.
OCD - I ate a pear today without asking about fertilisers, pesticides or the pear's age first! Yay progress! Or maybe it was just the hypomania.

Dear Lord, is he British? How could you ban one of the most important playwrights in British history from schools? It's a class, "p***k of noon"...hehehe.
I have a special affinity for Romeo & Juliet because I read the part of Juliet in junior high. Some people think it's Shakespeare's worst, but it's awesome in my opinion.
@Lummany: I plan to convert. Everyone I meet has been informed of this since I was 14, hence the "not a real Jew" but still being called one in a derogatory sense.

Romeo and Juliet is one of those plays that we read every year. I want to read Macbeth.

I do love Romeo and Juliet.
And hate walking my dog. So many lawns have that 'Pestice Application: Keep off' sign on them, usually only noticed after I walk on them to make sure no cars hit me. No sidewalks.

We have huge sidewalks here because everyone walks or bikes. The only people on my whole Ontario side of the family who have a car are my aunt and my brother.

@Silent: Macbeth is short, yes, but personally my least favourite. There are others that are much better. I prefer A Midsummer's Night's Dream, for example.
@Lumanny: We have sidewalks in town and none outside of town. I would've thought a dog would be hell for you, what with rolling in fox muck, slobber, dirt, bad breath, etc. I have a cat, because cats are more intelligent and dignified, and usually cleaner.

My dog is very clean as far as I allow myself to percieve. And he is so awesome that I can just obsess over him with constant fantasies about what if he were in space or on my favourite television program or met Batman or my favorite celebrity and not on other things, unless he scratches at the doors and playing with a ball that fell in oil. I'd post a photo if I had one handy on the computer; he is adorable! blaugh
