Rebecca's gaze returned to Vandal's face for a moment, then over to the bed he had gestured to. She hesitated for a second, but finally decided to move over to the edge of the mattress to sit down. She shouldn't be doing this... she really shouldn't. But, Vandal DID seem to have the means to help her get out of the situation she was in. And... to be honest she's had no one to talk to about any of this.

She sat down on the bed, clasping her hands together and leaning over her knees. "Well..." she began quietly. "My father's side of the family were tied in with crime. He wasn't involved with it very much at all, but he was perfectly willing to loan some money form Mister Cobblepot when we hit a rough patch. He started to pay him back, but we hit another rough patch. Car accident... chase between Batman and someone else. Dad broke his arm and he couldn't work, and Mom... " she began, then grew quiet and turned her gaze down to the floor. "Well, she almost died. Any money he had to repay Cobblepot went to hospital bills and school. Dad tried to borrow more money and promised to pay him back. Cobblepot gave us more money, but then my brothers though they could try to help pay him back by working for him. Eddie was caught and sent to jail not long after, and Rhett was caught in an explosion. Mom blamed Dad for what had happened, and he became... depressed." She said, glancing away as though the word only partially explained what her father had become. "My sister went to Cobblepot for more money to pay for what she called "more medical bills". Since we were good about paying him back bit by bit, Cobblepot gave her a suitcase full of money. She left the next day. Just... packed her bags and ran off. Left us all behind with more debt."

She lifted her gaze to look back at Savage. It was almost clear that she felt like she held a terrible weight on her shoulders. "That was... kind of the last straw. Cobblepot isn't lending us a dime anymore, and he's expecting his payment back in full. No matter how long it takes. Dad doesn't work... I doubt anyone would hire him. Mom stays home and takes care of Dad and our nieces that we've taken in. Eddie's still in jail... probably will be for a few more years. We haven't heard or seen from Rhett since he moved out of the house. It's just me and my brother that are working." she continued, then let her gaze fall to the floor again. "Tommy is still working for Cobblepot, doing whatever odd jobs he can find. I've... been working at the Lounge for quite some time now. With as much as we still owe him... I'll probably have the rest of my life to try and cover the cost. Both of us will."

She didn't mention exactly what they did as work. Savage could probably guess that for himself.

Rebecca looked up at Savage again. This time her tired and pained expression had turned into puzzlement. For him to simply shake off her problem like it was something minor...

And then her puzzlement turned into surprise. Perhaps it simply still wasn't registering just HOW much money Savage possessed. Or that he was THAT serious about keeping her with him. Her family had never owned 2 billion dollars in their entire lives... let alone to just hand that much over that easily.

"I..." she began, almost breathlessly as she looked at the phone. "I don't know what to say... I haven't had the courage to see what we owe recently but... the last time I checked, that..." she continued, then had to stop for a moment to gather her thoughts. "That...should cover it." She HOPED it would cover it anyway. Part of her brain was practically doing cartwheels at the very thought of getting out of debt. Another tiny fraction was nagging at her that no one just gave away that much money without wanting something in return. And the other part of her brain that was still playing catch up was afraid that Savage wouldn't pay more if 2 billion didn't cover Cobblepot's bill. Understandably, this was a lot to take in.

Rebecca just stared back at him silently for a long few moments. Trying to let... all of it sink in fully. She didn't know weather to sit there and wait anxiously for Cobblepot to respond to Savage... or to go with her impulse to jump up and hug him. Among other things.

She... and her family... might finally be free to actually make their own money again. To do what they want. Get out of Gotham...

Rebecca relaxed when Savage moved to answer the door. It was a very short lived relaxation though.... the moment he dropped his pants onto the floor and continued walking towards the door made her stop and stare. The moment he answered the door as though it were nothing, her eyes widened. The moment the other woman walked in without so much as a hesitation (as though this wasn't the first time she had seen Vandal in such a state), Rebecca's mouth dropped open slightly.

And then there was the look. Granted... she'd seen that same look from many, many men before. Considering the outfit she had to wear for work, it was a common look. But... she had to admit that it was RARE to get such a look from another woman. She was far from used to such attention from other women.

Rebecca's lips parted a fraction more, and her cheeks turned a bright shade of red. On instinct, she curled her legs up against her so she was fully covering herself from the other woman. "I..." she stammered, then blushed harder at her lack of ability to speak. A moment later, she hopped up from the bed, arms crossed over her chest, and quickly made her way to the bathroom for cover. "Excuse me..."

While Savage and the woman had their little reunion outside the bathroom, Rebecca was busy trying to calm herself down inside the safety of the closed space. She'd never had... THAT kind of attention before. It was just a look, but she still knew what the look meant. And... what the hell was that? Did Vandal do that all the time? And she just walked in like it was nothing!

.... although... she was overreacting, wasn't she? Honestly Vandal had just picked her up for a one night stand to begin with, right? It wasn't supposed to turn into anything serious. So she really shouldn't be surprised that he .... probably ... had the staff do a little more than just bring him food.

With a huff, she moved straight to the shower to try and cool herself off. As well as get clean. Hot tub water did nothing for her hair.

Meanwhile, Savage's cell phone buzzed. Letting him know that he had not one, but three text messages. All from Oswald Cobblepot.

"I was just about to reply to your last message. I'll admit I'm surprised in you interest in taking care of more than just Rebecca's debt, but I am more than willing to release her and her family for you. Your offered price should cover everything. I am more than happy to do business with you Mr Savage. In fact...."

"...as a sign of appreciation for your business, I should let you know that you were not the only ones inquireing about... both files you had asked for last night. They are more interested in the woman. But after a few events that happened last night, they are looking for the Bat as well...."

"... If you turn to channel 27, I'm sure you'll find the news quite interesting."

Should Savage turn on the tv to that channel, he would find the news. The graphics of the station weren't the best, and looked as though it may have been an independently run news station. A blonde haired anchor woman sitting behind an ordinary looking desk was sitting in front of a series of other computer screens, which must have been the rest of the news room.

"This is Octavia Walker of Chanel 27 News. As reported earlier, last night there was a disturbance at the Gotham City Hospital."

A screen came to life next to the woman's head, showing security cameras sitting outside a hospital parking lot. A Batmobile slammed into the side of the hospital. A man... OBVIOUSLY not Batman, jumped out of the car and helped a woman out of the car. The woman, Savage would recognize quite well. She seemed to be having pains in her stomach.

"Last night, what appeared to be a Batmobile crashed into the side of the Gotham Hospital at about 9 pm. A man in a Hawaiian shirt and cowboy hat was seen exiting the vehicle. Batman was no where to be seen, so it is unclear if the Batmobile was authentic, or if the man has any connection to Batman." Octavia went on to say. "The woman who was with the man was sent straight to the emergency room. She was treated for what doctors would only comment on as an "odd pregnancy". The police also reported that a nurse was later seen wheeling the woman down the hall, before she vanished from the building. The hospital confirmed that the Nurse did not work at the hospital, and officials are trying to figure out who the woman was, and where they have gone. Xrays of the woman's condition were also taken. The man fled the seen in the supposed "Batmobile" soon after."

A fuzzy image of a woman in a nurse outfit was the next thing to appear on the screen beside the woman's head. "This is the only image we could obtain of the nurse that allegedly kidnapped the woman and the x-rays. Police later confirmed that the same vehicle was seen speeding down the streets of New York City, allegedly chasing after a taxi cab. Our sister stations in New York City have confirmed this information." Octavia continued.

"There has been no further word of what has happened to the man, or women in question. Doctors do say that the pregnant woman could be in danger, due to her condition. She should be bed ridden, and any strenuous activity could cause harm to herself or her child. If you have any information that may help with this case, you may contact any of our Breaking News stations. Here in Gotham, New York City, Metropolis..." she continued, naming off mostly the main cities. Then she gave a bit of contact information for their station, and went on to report other "breaking news" that had happened in Gotham, and other cities. Mostly involving heroes and major crimes.

Hey, they only got CJ on camera jumping out of the car and jumping back in, leaving the seen of the crime.

They have no idea where he is or anything... and I'm sure if he's caught, they'll understand why he had to cause so much property damage and run off. XD

Rebecca, luckily enough, was oblivious to everything that had been going on outside the room. She had busied herself with trying to get herself clean, and calming down. She never took very long to shower... a full scheduled demanded one learn how to be quick about such things. But, with everything that had happened within the last twenty-four hours... Rebecca needed a little extra time to herself. This gave Savage plenty of time to view the news and begin to get dressed.

It also took her a moment or two to find a good shampoo. There was, unsurprisingly, no feminine based products about. The closest thing to "girly" was the complimentary samples that kind of came with the room. It was either that, or use Savage's bottles he had sitting about the tub. She wasn't aware that there was a bottle of Herbal Essence tucked away under the sink... just for an occasion when Savage had another woman over.

Rebecca finished up, and turned off the shower at about the time Vandal had finished getting himself dressed. She carefully stepped out of the tub and onto the fuzzy maroon colored rug waiting beside the sink. Slipping on a robe, she tossed her dark hair into a towel and moved to the door.
