"Yes..." he said returning to Lucinda. "I suppose that would make sense." He sighed deeply, "I suppose the best place to start would be the chief." he said regrettably.

"Then let us go," Lucinda said, motioning to the door.

"Yeah..." Renatus said. He walked out of the door, and towards the chief's hut. Horrible thoughts of what could have happened raced through his head, revealing his depressive tendencies.

"I'm sure everything is fine," Lucinda replied, encouragingly.

"I know, its just... Well you know how I am." Renatus replied. He slowed his walking to walk with Lucinda, staying close to her.

Renatus smiled, then put his arm around Lucinda's waist. "Thank you." he said graciously.

"I know." Renatus said looking caringly into Lucinda's eyes. "I'm worrying about nothing." he said. "Look, there it is. The biggest structure in the village." he pointed forward at a multi-floor hut ahead.

Lucinda nodded, looking ahead to it. It wasn't too far away.

"Its so regal." Renatus said sarcastically rolling his eyes. The two reached the building and Renatus opened up the flap that served as a door. Warm air flowed from the hut and inside were feast tables and many people. Including in a large throne the Chief. He was obviously a great warrior, as his body was covered with scars. "Chief..." Renatus said to catch his attention.

"Runt" The chief grunted, standing up. "I'd never thought you would return to this humble village." The chief looked at the human next to Renatus, "Especially with food."

Lucinda's eyebrows came together a bit as she regarded the chief. She knew that Renatus wouldn't let her get hurt, so she was merely displeased with being addressed as such.

The chief laughed booming. "Now now little girl, we don't eat humans." "He thinks he's funny." Renatus whispered in Lucinda's ear. The chief stood up and walked to the two. Once reaching them, one could understand why Renatus was a runt. The chief was at least three feet taller than Renatus and much heavier built. The chief addressed Renatus "So, why have you returned, and with a human?" "I'm visiting my family." Renatus responded. "But the human?" the chief said kneeling down to Lucinda's level and placing a finger under her chin.
