Kantern let her speak, a little alerted by the fact that Roran got himself killed before being healed. Pushing his thoughts away, he listened some more. She was right, he had the better chance of being listened to. Seeing her cloak, he shook his head at her offer, pulling his own closer to his body. When she laughed, he smiled. She was making fun of her own servant. It was a good sign. He wasn't looking in the direction of the two guards when the shadows came down, but the moment they did their scents filled his nostrils. Smirking, her magic was covering them better than she realized. Turning to see them bow, he bowed his head back, smiling. "You know, if you stay near your hidden men, any creature with a good nose will mistake the smell of your magic as you, and will never know they're there. I didn't."
When she didn't take offense yet again, Kantern felt even more relaxed. "Well, knowing he's banished, it is very unwise to have him here in Talagand. Especially not around you." Kantern's look was serious. From what she said, she cared about the hawk. "He's not safe even when you're near, and when your not, well..." Kantern didn't continue that sentence. The mercenaries of Talagand, as well as the bounty hunters, might see the hawk and not care about any royal protection. Then there was the other bird as well. "He should be safe as long as he isn't recognized by sight," Kantern was referencing the potion he'd given the hawk earlier, which he knew Leena didn't know about, "but he's still a danger to us being found out." He realized he was telling her what roran would have, but in a nicer way. Stopping himself, he had to look away.
A question rose in his head then. "What brought you to meet the hawk? It had to have been luck and chance, right?" Kantern's eyes were on the snow, the white snow. Like Leena's hair. Pushing his foot into the snow, he turned it, rubbing the snow away to see the dead grass beneath. "I don't need to know any past stories, just how you met."

Leena laid her cloak back out and sat again on it, starting to pull her hair into a braid when she realized she didn't have as much as before and couldn't. Smiling a little at herself, she let it be free, it didn't bother her too much. "Really? Good. I'm glad that works." She flashed him a smile, her golden eyes finding his. The smile faltered and lessened, the corners of her mouth very faintly holding the shape. She sighed heavily, resting her chin on her knees, lowering her eyes to the snow. "I know he's not.... His cousin already tried attacking him. I tried to tell him to go, but he wouldn't. Hopefully his sister will keep an eye on him for me." She murmured, hearing another screech in the sky, watching as Sarah flew overhead. She inwardly winced, she realized that he was... "I know. Priya will convince him to stay out of Talagand. I know this." She added firmly, she had seen it. It would happen.
Turning her gaze back to him, she noticed him look away, blinking a little at the sudden question. Her expression relaxed a little though a faint blush rose to her cheeks, reaching over into the snow. Gathering it into her palms, she watched as it formed a small rabbit, the blush already gone by that point. "Then I shall say no stories." She chuckled a little, making the snow rabbit run around as if real, her eyes following it. "I had run from the palace and found him the woods where I was playing. He was a hawk, badly wounded and unconscious. Took care of him then. It was entirely luck and chance. He's been my friend since." She told him with a warm smile, watching the rabbit sniff at his foot and the grass he uncovered before jumping away. She let it return to being snow, turning her eyes back to his. "Why? Just curious?" She asked softly, cocking her head a little while a small smile rose to her lips.

"Hawk, now. You'll be smaller and'll warm up faster. And a bit easier to hold." Cori said, sounding slightly commanding but not caring at the moment. She could feel him shivering, even through the layers she and Priya had added.

Vadász blinked a little at the suddenness of her command, shrinking a little before he became a hawk, resting in her lap. The jacket covered him completely, ruffling before he was visible, shivering just a little more. He still seemed to begrudge the fact, settling down though.

Altarion slammed his door with great force, growling with anger. Sitting his bed, he ran his hands through his hair a few times before laying back onto the bed and drawing up an image with his magic. "If only you could have stayed that way Selena..." He muttered as he stared at the picture. "But you had to defy me and hide her. Well once I get ahold of you again, I will find out where you hid her, and then end your life for good." The dark lord hissed before banishing the image from his sight.((Filler and important background facts because I am bored.))

"Hm," he sighed, watching the rabbit. His instincts told him to chase, but he had gotten them under control long ago. "Yeah. Just curious. It's perplexing for me to think of a Talaganian hiding in wizard territory. Seeing as territory is a big thing for us, I was surprised he let himself get found. Not only that, but then attacked. It just surprises me." Flashing a small smile, he lowered his eyes again. The wind's direction had changed, and te smell of the departed elves dominated the air. Closing his eyes, he let his nose get comfortable with the smell. He didn't know what to talk about, nor what to do. Moving to the ground, he layed down in the snow. Getting curious again, he spoke softly. "How did you get your white hair? Were you born with it?"

Leena simply nodded, she could understand that. Listening, she sighed, it wasn't like her friend really had a choice in the matter.... She wouldn't mention that though, it would lead to nothing. And she figured that Vadász wouldn't want his past getting spread around. "He was distracted. It does surprise me too, thats not like him." She murmured, it did trouble her. Were his senses dulling? He is old... She shrugged it off, watching him lay down in the snow. Again, his question caught her off-guard, retaining the smile as she glanced to the strands. "Yes, I was born with it. Surprised both of my parents. Gave them a scare a bit." She replied with a small chuckle, returning her gaze to him. "I haven't met many who are so interested in potions as you. What about them gives you such happiness? Forgive me if I'm prying." She asked softly, brushing her hair back behind her ear. Hopefully it would stay.

Nodding, he smiled. He'd be surprised if a kid popped out with white hair too. Well, not one of his, depending on his mate. It must be something in the wizard blood that mixes with other blood types. Roran has white hair and he's half wizard as well. Hearnig her question, he cocked his head, looking at her. Resting his head down again, his breathing was slowing. "Potions, well, they are enjoyable to me. The fact that adding just a pinch of some plant changes what the potion is like is so intriguing. I mean," he took out a vial with a red liquid swishing around in it," this potion was blue and tasted bitter until I added a Golden Mothzard's scale to it. Once stirred and dissolved, the potion is now red and tastes a bit more on the sour side. Plus, it went from aiding an area infected with poison oak to healing poisons that are in your blood stream." Looking to the queen as he put the potion away, he smirked. "Plus, it's fun to test them out. Usually I have to test on myself, which can cause problems, and then sometimes I get volunteers. Eh, that doesn't always work out well either." Chuckling, he laid his head back again. "I just find it fun."

Leena was watching him, leaning back on her elbows. She realized she should get moving soon, but she was comfortable here. It took a bit out of her to teleport over longer distances, so she was resting up too. Listening with a small tilt of her head, she fixed her outer robe since it was coming loose, smirking a little as she turned her golden eyes to the potion he was looking at. She chuckled, the way his voice sounded as he spoke of it and potions, it was a pleasant thing to hear. "Fascinating..." And it was, potions had never been one of her strong points unfortunately. Her mother had excelled in it. Her eyebrows raised in slight surprise, himself? But what if things didn't go so well? Though, she was one to talk. She dealt with the dead. "I know how that goes. Just be careful alright?" She smirked, she was sure he had been told that before. "My mother also loved potions. I unfortunately had to touch for them." She gave a slight chuckle, a soft smile on her lips. "Ah well, to each their own eh?"

"Sorry for snapping, just..." Cori murmured, shrugging and gently pulling him closer so he was against her body. They'd need to leave soon, preferably once he was warm. She didn't want to be here when it started snowing again, otherwise it might get too deep for them to travel even remotely quickly.

Vadász just seemed to coo softly, fluttering his feathers as she pulled him closer. It was a way of saying that it was fine. He heard a cheep, one golden eye glancing up to see Priya flying around in her bird form as well. He had stopped shivering, finally starting to warm up.

Raising his eyebrows, he hadn't expected her to be the one telling him to be careful. He hadn't expected it at all. "Look who's talking," he smirked. "Yes, yes, I guess you're right. Can't excel at everything, now can we? So your mother was good? Hm. 'Tis a shame when another potion lover falls. Ah well."

Leena felt her cheeks flush briefly, chuckling a little as she winked at him. "No, it'd be a little strange if that were the case." She spoke softly, nodding to confirm the fact. She sighed, frowning a little as she looked at the snow, remembering how pale her mother had gotten. "Yes, she was." Pushing herself up, she had the snow vanish from the underside of her cloak, clasping it around her shoulders. "I should probably head out so I can be sure to beat Roran there lest he blow up at me." She sighed at the thought, pulling her cowl up, whistling. Sebesen trotted over from where she had been grazing, the deep black mare standing out against the white of the snow. "I'll see you around I'm sure. Take care Kantern." She sighed heavily, climbing up onto the horses back, flashing him a smile before the mask reappeared over the lower half of her face again. Pulling her hood up, a bright light enveloped her and Sebesen, taking them to where the Princess was resting among the Faerie.

"Ah, you are back I see." The king murmured, turning his head in Leena's direction from his seat next to Selena's bed. Of course, his comment was a little odd for him, but he seemed to have some sense of humor as he smiled to the princess.

Leena had dismounted and walked in to check on Selena, Sebesen munching on some oats right about now. "Yes. How is she?" She realized her question was a bit useless since Selena seemed to still be asleep.
