Adan nodded. "Which way do you want to go?" he questioned, looking around. "We can go 'round back of the paddock, or 'round the field or the barracks, or the house ..."
He pointed at each path as he named them, then looked back at Feng and Ryu to see which way they wanted to go.

"What language do the humans from your world speak?" Arwen asked Lin curiously as they started up the stairs.
To her, the common tongue was the common tongue, and no race in any world used it as their base language - but then, her knowledge of different worlds was rather limited.
Since of course she had never left her own.

Feng mused for a moment looking aroundm she hadn't realized there were so many places to go in the first place.
"How about we go around the field?" she suggested, taking the second choice out of all of them.

Lin mused on this for a moment, "Most of the time, humans just speak Common Tongue, only they call it English, but it also depends on where the human comes from... like there are Southerlanders and Westerlanders, there's also humans from different places... like.. Daddy is Chinese, so that's the language he speaks, but Mommy also knows Japanese, because that's what her Mommy speaks, but generally it is Common Tongue."

"Okay," Adan grinned; and, taking the reins and sitting up tall and straight, he nudged his horse gently towards the direction of the field.
"Hey, they're harvesting now," he said eagerly, his eyes lighting up. "Maybe we can watch them for a bit!"

"Oh, then it's just like us, here!" Arwen grinned, heading down the corridor towards Elros's room. "But those are funny names for languages."
She giggled.
"So many names for humans," she murmured to herself in a sing-song sort of tone. "How strange, indeed."

"I think it's because there's a lot more humans back home, though really you can't tell living where we live," Lin replied back thoughtfully.
She had never thought it strange, it was just one of those things she took for granted, though that might be why.

"Are they?" Feng blinked, thinking about.
She hadn't realized it was that time of year for harvesting, then again it did make sense.
She grinned at the thought, "I've never seen that before, why not? We could watch for a while."

"What do you mean, you can't tell?" Arwen turned quizzically to Lin as they drew near Elros's door. "How can't you tell that there are a lot more humans where you're from?"

"Well... .I don't get to leave the place where I live in often, and there are all sorts of people where I am. Mommy says it's because that's where people come from all over to do trade, and there are a lot of races, so no one ever seems to have more people than the other."
She paused for a moment and then adding.
"But I know there are a lot of places that have only humans, but I haven't been there."

"Your world really is quite strange," Arwen murmured softly as they reached Elros's door. She raised one fist and knocked solidly three times, then stood back and waited for an answer.

Almost immediately, the door was opened, and the corridor was suddenly flooded with the light that was streaming in through Elros's wide open window.
"Ah, Lin, Arwen," he said warmly, though his face was very nearly expressionless. "Welcome. I have to admit, I had been expecting you a little earlier, Lin."
He chuckled softly, his icy blue eyes sparkling.
"Lessons, then?"

Lin nodded at that, she hoped he hadn't been actually waiting for her.
"I went to visit Sir Leith and Sir Boudwin earlier, so... I wasn't here as usual."
She, after all couldn't help but visit.

"Ah, of course," Elros nodded, understanding dawning on his face. "I should have realized. Arwen, would you like to stay with us? Though I can't imagine you would be interested, after all it is one of your mother tongues."
He stepped further into his room and motioned for Lin to take a seat, glancing over his shoulder at Arwen as he waited for her response.

Arwen shook her head. "No, thank you," she said politely. "I'm going to go train for a bit."
She waved her hand cheerfully and grinned. "Bye, Lin," she said happily. "I'll see you at lunch again!"
And with that, she skipped back down the corridor and was gone.
