Kasiya said nothing, only shoveled a large bite of pancakes into her mouth as she plucked the Pokeballs from her belt, which still rested on the table. One by one her six Pokemon appeared, looking around in a bit of confusion. They all soon realized it was time for food and one by one they each chose a bowl of food, apparently still on good terms with Keegan's Pokemon from earlier. Only Seto stopped and stared at his trainer, his amber eyes narrowed into judgmental slits. Kasiya stared back a the Persian in confusion. "What?" she asked. "Aren't you going to eat?" The feline scoffed a bit before he flicked his tail in annoyance and stalked over to the only unoccupied bowl of food and began to eat slowly, turning to glare at Kasiya every now and then.

Kasiya sighed and looked up at Keegan again. "I was just wishing there was a way that we could stay ahead of the Rockets," she said, which wasn't far from the truth. "If there was some way we could get the jump on them and know what they were planning, then we could put a stop to the evil things they are up to." She smiled after that statement, realizing it did sound like something Mike would say. He has rubbed of on me, she thought with a little smirk. But now I do know why he is so eager and ready to protect those he cares about. She remained quiet as she finished her pancakes, and slid her plate away, still contemplating the day's events.

"Ahh," Keegan nodded, sliding his plate away as well and leaning back in his chair. "Your intentions are good," he said, giving Helios a scratch behind the ears at the Vulpix had hopped up onto his lap, "but futile. Team Rocket will always be there, and there's no way to stop them for good. Unless of course, you hunt down every single member of the organization and kill them yourself." He knew she wouldn't like what he was saying, but he didn't care. He was tired of all this vigilantism being thrown around by his friends. "Haven't you guys learned from the past how dangerous the heroism business is? It's because of Team Rocket that Sabrina is gone, and yet you all still seemed so eager to put your lives on the line."

He glanced around the kitchen, discovering that most of his Pokemon had finished their meals, and some were asleep (namely Tierra) and others on the verge. He quickly recalled them all, with the exception of Helios and stood up, watching as the fox jumped up onto the table and began to lick up the stray syrup from Keegan's plate. "I'm not trying to sound harsh, but I don't know what I would do if you went out and got yourself killed," he said flatly, pretending to be interested in getting the dishes cleaned up.

About a million retorts were going through Kasiya's mind as Keegan stood up, and she kept her eyes on the adorable Vulpix, feeling tears threatening to fall yet again. It wasn't until he had turned his back on her, and she heard the last statement that she knew why he was worried, and she stood up, walking over to Helios and gently stroked his soft fur. "I understand your concern, Keegan, I really do," she said gently, her anger fading. "But its because of tragedies, like what happened to Sabrina that make us need to fight. Not want, need. They stole away one of my best friend's sister, and that's unacceptable. As long as Team Rocket threatens this world and everything I hold dear, I will continue to fight them, even if it means my own life. I'd sooner die then stand around and do nothing." By now, all of her Pokemon had grouped around her, and were looking over at Keegan as though trying to help their trainer emphasize her point. "No one is asking you to fight too, Keegan, but I'm telling you this right here and now. Nothing you can say or do will stop me, or the others, from fighting back. There are far too many things in this world worth saving, and I'm not going to let Team Rocket have their way with it any longer."

She put her belt back on before she took her plate, carried it over to the sink and rinsed it off under the hot water before stacking it neatly with a few others that had already been dirtied. She turned to go back to the table but stopped, sighing heavily before she walked over to Keegan and slid her arms around his waist, letting her cheek rest on his back. "I know you want to keep me safe," she whispered, closing her eyes as she could no longer hold her tears at bay, "but I'm a lot tougher than even I give myself credit for. If you're so worried about me, fight with us." She pulled back and turned him around, standing up on tiptoe to kiss him. "I'm going outside for a while," she told him. "And... I'm sorry. It's just the way I am." She shrugged and motioned for her Pokemon to come with her as she slipped her bare feet into her shoes and went outside, counting to make sure all six Pokemon followed her.

Sere watched with interest as the two pokemon fainted. Huh, they are so evenly matched. She wondered when George would be able to do some battling of his own, she longed to show that she was as good as everyone in her family, as well as prove to herself that she could do more than stay home and babysit the pokemon they left behind.

Mike came up the stairs of the pokecenter and smiled at her. She simply nodded at his comment. She figured that the more powerful of his pokemon were probably quite a show to watch. The two boys went into the center and dropped off their pokemon for a rest while they decided they were going to go over to the store to pick up some supplies. Serenity already had all she needed to get her to the next city at least.

She wanted to get down to Slateport so she could head over to the next region, but at the same time she also wanted to level up, and perhaps try a gym or two around here. I could get Alex to get her Charazard to fly me over to Oldale to start training and meet with the gym leader there. Serenity got back to her feet, as she did the two boys were heading. "I have to head out." She said to the two of them. Her voice was quiet and her words seemed to run together some. "I'm going to be in Slateport for the party on Saturday, maybe I'll see the two of you there." She smiled again at the two of them. Sere could feel the red in her cheeks when she made eye contact, but then she headed off to her house to ask Alex about the use of her Charazard for a quick ride.

((Short I know but it seemed like a good place to end the post.))

Now free from the caves darkness and in the bright sun right next to Vermilion City. Not able to stop herself Robin grabbed Luffy and lifting him up they laughed and spun around together. When she settled down Robin just couldn't keep the grin off of her face as she turned to look at her guide through Kanto at the moment. "So how do we get to that train station?" She couldn't wait to get home to show her mom her new nakama, which she might not like, and how strong she and Luffy had grown.

Grinning a bit back at them Ampersand pointed over the cave in the direction of their destination. "We don't have that far to go, considering how short Route 6 is. Hey if you are lucky you will even meet a trainer who wants to battle you."

Grinning down at Luffy Robin lifted the happy Aipom up into the air again. "You hear that Luffy? I promised you a battle and it looks like you might get it!" In her arms Luffy gave a happy cry his hand tail waving around excitedly. Unable to explain or contain her sudden lot of enthusiasm Robin let out a happy cry before dashing off in the general direction Ampersand had pointed. Jumping to the ground Luffy ran along side her just happy to see everything was going so great.

Startled slightly by the sudden dash off by his companions Ampersand just watched them dash off for a second. "Oi!" He shouted after a second before grabbing his hat so it didn't fly off and taking off with them trying to catch up with the two.

"Sure thing Serenity, we'll be there." Mike replied, waving good bye to his new friend. "Shame she couldn't come with us." He said, turning back to Kilik. The boy hurried up the stairs, he always enjoyed browsing in this department store. It had such a clean look to it, and nice air conditioned rooms.

The boy entered the sliding door, tipping an invisible hat to the receptionist as she greeted him warmly. "Ma'am." he said simply, making his way to the stairs; elevators were for fatties. The Lavaridge boy raced up three floors, hoping they still carried the TMs where they did last time. Upon reaching the fourth floor, he grinned triumphantly as he was greeted by rows and rows of colored discs. "Sweet." Hurrying over, Mike perused through the vast amounts of merchandise in front of him, occasionally taking one out to examine closely. After a few minutes he had made his decision, and walked over to the counter, wallet in hand.

"Okay, Brick Break, Dragon Claw and Protect." The content older man behind the counter quickly scanned the items and punched a few buttons on the cashier, a green '$6500' appearing on the little screen facing the shopper. "Quite a bit there big spender." He chuckled.

"Yeah, but nothing is too good for my Pokemon." Mike said as he fished out the money from his wallet, handing it to the man. "They deserve the very best."

"That's always good to hear." The man replied, sliding the cashier door shut. "It's nice to see people who care so much about the sanctity of life."

Mike nodded, thanking the man as he slipped the discs into his backpack. He walked over to the stairs, leaning against the wall and patiently waited for Kilik, but not before applying the TMs of Dragon Claw and Protect to Nitro and Portabello respectively. He would just have to wait to give Napalm his new move.

Spade saw her jump over him, but couldn't really do much about except make a few 90 degree turns to get back in the right direction. He did manage to get back in the game after a little while, though.

M.A. took off immediately, Tora rolling at her side. With her new ability of accuracy combined with her inborn strength, she managed to knock Spade out of his track so that he would not catch M.A. Grace wasn't as easy to delay, and although she winced at Tora's rough conduct, she managed to tag M.A. nevertheless. The girl immediately passed to her brother, and poor Grace had to play monkey-in-the-middle as the siblings "connected the dots" and made it all the way to the goal.

The ball then went to Team Senior, and this time, all the team members of Team Not-Senior managed to mark their opponents wonderfully, most likely getting in the groove of it all. The fact that Bud Jr. was pretty much a spectator in the middle of the field gave Team Senior a disadvantage of one player, allowing Team Not-Senior to team up on more difficult players (namely Grace). Another interception was made by Ivysaur and the goal was theirs after quite a bit of passing back and forth.

"Three ta two! You better pick it up, old man," Michael teased, mirth in his eyes.

"Alright, team meeting," Mr. Rustings called, pulling his team in a huddle. "Spade, slow down a bit buddy, no need to be so eager. If you do, you'll be able to turn tighter, and keep up with whoever you're markin'. At this rate though, that team over there keeps getting better and better, so we better put 'that' into action. Ready, break!"

It started with Mrs. Rustings passing the football backwards, actually getting it to the target she intended, Mr. Rustings. The man, with a heave and a grunt, threw the ball in a long spiralling arch, with Spade blasting off for it. But he must have not been paying attention or something, for it was easily in Ivysaur's reach.

"I can't fault you for that," Keegan chuckled, after she had already gone outside. He contemplated joining her for a moment, but decided against it. He didn't want to push the matter, but he couldn't quite shake what she had said to him. It was remarkably familiar, and he sighed, slowly gathering up the few dishes and washing them quickly. He left them on the drying rack and looked around. Helios beamed up at him from his perch on the table, and Keegan chuckled, lifting the fox up and cuddling him in his arm. "Mom would get really upset if she saw you on the table," he told the Vulpix. The fox just grinned and enjoyed the cuddles, very happy to be home once again. "Man, it's only been a few days but it felt like forever. Pal, you're never leaving my party. EVER," he laughed, giving the Pokemon a bit of a squeeze.

Unlike Mike, Kilik took much longer to look through the rows upon rows of TMs. He scratched his nose and pondered. Of course the obvious choice was a Brick Break TM for Elekid, but he figured Lairon would enjoy something nice too. Once more he whipped out his PokeDex and scanned through it to the information about Lairon. It was possible for him to learn dozens of moves, but one did interest him. Why not Sandstorm? Not only would it help Lairon hide behind but dealing residual damage to his foes was a lovely perk as well. With a nod, Kilik tucked the device away and picked up the disc.

"A Brick Break and a Sandstorm..." the clerk said, typing away at his register. As before, the total rang up on a small screen: $4000. Certainly less expensive than Mike, but then again, Kilik's money situation was a bit tight. He pulled out his wallet and sighed. This would leave him with just $2000, not much when it came to buying TMs and other items. Maybe if he were to go fight a few more Gym Leaders...although, he'd only have time for one if any.

Handing over the cash, Kilik took the discs and tucked them into his sidebag. Considering that the two Pokemon who would receive these moves were in the Center, he'd just have to hold onto them for now. "Let's get back to the Center," Kilik said as he started walking down the stairs, "I've got moves to teach and we've got a battle to do."

Ivy immediately used it's long vines to snag the ball from Spade before running off towards his team's goal. The snad was a bit tough to run in causing him to go slower than he normally would. With three sharp turns Spade managed to snag Ivy in the side before he could bring up his luminous, green shield. Ivy however fumbled with the ball before it was tossed into the air. The collision from Spade had been much harder that he had expected. Somehow mangaing to escape the Mitsu and Mary-Anne block Grace nabbed the ball and floated over to Team Senior's side trying to score.

Mitsu, dumbstruck by the fact that she hadn't thought of it earlier called out, "Ivy! Vine Whip! Forward spin and up!" Ivy gave a defining roar of approval before sneding out two vine. The right vine shot up and tried to come on Grace's back but she easily dodged it by banking right to avoid the left vine. It would have worked too if Ivy hadn't put a bit of spin onto it. As Grace dodged the right vine that tried to come crashing down on her back she glided over to the right a bit, just as Mitsu had predicted. Ivy's second vine, his left one, sprialed forwards into the sand kicking up the sandy grains effectively blocking Grace's view. Mitsu lept at the chance and barely tagged Grace's tail. The Mantine threw the ball to Mr. Rustings only to have Ivy grab that ball as well. Oooh, he was getting close and only a few of Team Senior's memebers were left in his path.

"See you there!" Mike said as he dashed to the stairs. However, instead of going down, he in fact ran up to the roof. "Might as well take the quicker way. " He said with a smile, unclipping a Pokeball. Stepping onto the edge of the roof, the boy bent his knees, getting himself ready.

"What the hell are you doing kid?" He heard a stray voice call out to him from behind.

Mike turned around, confused. "What?" He asked defensively. "I'm only jumping off the roof." With that, he tossed out his Pokeball, releasing Nitro, who was quite alarmed at the lack of solid ground beneath him. After a momentary flailing and a few more than likely curse-based growls, the Charizard regained his bearings, treading air as he shot a glare at his trainer.

"See ya!" The boy waved and dove off the top of the building, landing on his Pokemon. "To the Pokemon Center!" He shouted, pointing downward.

He could have just moved out of the way and let him fall, no one would ever had to find out. Begrudgingly the Fire Pokemon began his descent, spiraling down to the red roofed building.

In mere moments the two had landed and Mike gave Nitro a thankful kiss on the cheek. "You'd be so bored without me and you know it." He recalled his Pokemon, watching the Charizard sigh as he disappeared inside the ball. "Plus, I just taught you a new move, be happy." Snapping the Pokeball back in place, Mike about faced and went inside the Pokemon Center. After thanking the Nurse for once again caring for Napalm, he took out his final TM and pressed it against the Pokeball. As the color faded from the disc, he pocketed it, figuring he'd throw it away later. Mike then traipsed over to the couch and sat down, a smug smile playing on his lips for beating Kilik back.

And Ivy was just inches from scoring when --

"Touch-down~" Mrs. Rustings sang from the other side of the field. Wait, what? All of Team Not-Senior swivelled their head to look at the distant figure all the way at the other end, leaning against the volleyball pole with... the football in her hands?

How did it get from Ivy to Mom so fast? M.A. thought to herself, jaw a little agape from the surprise. What the heck? But wait no, Ivy still had the ball! It was right there in his vines -- oh, the ball was unrolling out? No, it wasn't the ball at all, it was Bud Jr.! The Kabuto had taken the place of the football at some time or another, somehow. What a trick.

"So it's a tie!" Mr. Rustings grinned deviously, obviously pleased with how the play worked.

M.A. couldn't withhold her giggle and burst out in full out laughter. Oh, goodness. They would do something like that.

The game was interrupted by the appearance of another person, however, a petite young woman with dirty-blonde hair and eyes like sparkling emeralds. "Rein!" Sae grinned, running towards his girlfriend.

Over there in their own little world, the other observers could see the two love-birds discuss something after sharing a brief hello-kiss. Something Rein said a minute or so must have surprised Michael, for he stepped back and even from where M.A. was, she could see his eyes widen for a moment. Then, a slow smile crept up on his lips and he pulled her in for a hug and a longer kiss (which the kids averted their eyes to and the parents simply smiled, looking wayward as well).

Sae ran back for a moment. Breathless, he gasped out, "Rein-- Rein proposed! Said that she was tired of waiting; she knows me too well, knew I was gonna ask on our birthdays." Again, the boyish Michael shone through, the giddy, too-happy one.

"Why don't you two go off and have a nice date, then," Mrs. Rustings suggested after the family commotion was done. "After all, generally, it's during such date that proposals happen, you know?"

Sae nodded, promised to be back tomorrow (which M.A. smirked, to which Sae told her to shut up), and disappeared arm in arm with his new fiancee.

"Well!" Mr. Rustings said, breaking into the sudden silence. "I feel like asking my lovely wife here to a date as well. Mary-Anne, would you be alright on your own?" Mrs. Rustings blushed, and added, "Only if you're fine wi--"

"Of course, Mum, Dad," M.A. smiled. It'd been a while since her parents had gone out on their own since her father was often busy and before, her mother would insist on taking the whole family along. They ought to have their own lovey-lovey time too. Mrs. Rustings smiled, and for the first time in her life M.A. saw that she regarded her daughter as a capable adult after all.

"Well, that leaves ... just us," M.A. blinked after her parents had left, feeling a bit odd after having a crowd reduced to two. "It's getting kinda late... wanna just head to a Pokecenter, or something, and clean up?"

Kilik took the stairs down, like a sane person, and exited the building through the front door, like a sane person. He watched Nitro fly down to the Center, and then broke into a run from the Mart to the Center. He managed to cover quite a lot of ground thanks to his long legs and he even jumped five of the steps that led to the bottom level of Lilycove (where the Pokemon Center resided), landing gracefully. Sure, Mike beat him to the Center, but jumping those steps felt great.

"Alright, you won. Big deal," Kilik laughed as he entered the building, looking over at the boy. The boy gathered up the Pokeballs that rested on the tray, thanked the Nurse and walked over to the chair opposite Mike's couch. "It's a shame," he laughed, "We have the good Nurse heal our Pokemon only to have a battle directly afterwards. It's somewhat sick." He opened his bag and whipped out the two discs. He placed the Brick Break TM on the Pokeball and gave it a good spin. The ball shook beneath his hand and the disc cracked down the middle after he used it and the color faded completely. The same thing happened as he taught Lairon Sandstorm.

He took the two useless discs (along with getting Mike to hand over his used ones) and tossed them into the trashcan. "We're so good to our Pokemon," he laughed, sitting down again.

"Yup. We're some twisted individuals." Mike replied with a nod, leaning back for a moment of relaxation. It was always nice to buy TMs, it made him feel much safer in battle to have a more versatile moveset. It was like he could take on anyone. "Speaking of which, you mentioned something about a battle." The boy sat up, curious. "Didn't we just battle? Not that I'm complaining mind you." As he waited for the answer, Mike took the moment to fix up his hair, the wind always did a number on his naturally poofy do.

Kasiya was quite happy to note that she was becoming quite familiar with the layout of Lavaridge Town, and the more time she spent here the more she liked the hazy little town. Even that stupid volcano, that both Keegan and Mike seemed to adore, was growing on her. The large landmark did serve as a reminder though, as every time she gazed upon it she would recall exactly how she had met up with Casimir. It seemed so long ago now, even though it really wasn't. She touched the ever-healing wound in her side, now an occasional annoying pain rather than a constant ache. Kasiya looked to her right, surprised to see the silvery Absol standing by her side, also gazing upon the mountain. He too would never forget his fateful meeting with the weird human girl, but he also knew he wouldn't regret it.

"Heh, well look at what the cat dragged in," a sneering voice came from behind Kasiya, and before she even turned to look she could feel a chill creeping down her spine. Deep growls were coming from both Seto and Casimir, and as she slowly turned around, her fears were confirmed. Well, maybe not fears, but definitely not someone she wanted to see. It was none other than the Nameless Trainer, standing there looking quite smug and cocky, as usual.

"You again?" she asked, scoffing and shaking her head. "What are you doing here?" Not that she really cared why he was there, she just wanted to be rid of him and be on her way.

"I was actually looking for you," he said, his smirk widening even further. "You got me really good last time, in front of your dad's gym. But this time, I'm ready for a rematch, and I do not intend on losing."

"Sorry guy," Kasiya said, dismissing him with a wave of her hand. "This isn't my strongest party, plus I don't feel like fighting with you just now," she added, yawning. "So how about you go far, far away and I get to never see you again?"

The nameless trainer just continued to smile. "What, you'd turn down a challenge? Seriously? That's the most cowardly thing I have ever heard of," he laughed. He studied the six Pokemon following her around and shook her head. "I guess I just get to beat on a few different Pokemon this time. Come on, you're not afraid, are you?"

"Of course not," Kasiya shot back, but then looked towards Flash, Seto, Casimir and Ada. They were all looking at her, waiting for her to give them the order. Levi, on the other hand, and chose to hide behind Digger, who just sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine, I'll accept your stupid challenge," she said finally. "but I'm warning you, if you play dirty I'm going to get my strongest Pokemon and have them teach you a lesson."
