Sai Amayashi Night:If your talking about the same auction i was bumping at they extended it, and someone outbid you. But yeah what they did was wrong, in my opinion, especially since they just left it unknown for a few days. Now they've extended it this girl has outbumped me so it's just a hassle. Honestly i think auctioners should have a back-up plan thought of beforehand and have it posted, like "Note, if the auction does not go above 10k then the winner will instead recieve so and so" 10k was just a random number btw. Yeah, I had noticed after I had asked..but I was still curious. I've seen it happen a few times, sometimes the artist just abandoned the whole auction altogether. It did kinda irritate me that the person running the auction really had no interest..as the user did not actually visit the thread in what? 3 or 4 days...

Yeah, i know what you mean, when you start an auction you should follow it through to the end instead of just abandoning it for awhile.

Not sure if this would go here or advertising but I'll try here. Basically, my family has given in to my love for art and have realized all I want for christmas/birthday (both in december.) is art...and barbies but that's another thing entirely. Thing is, they won't buy me anything that can't be put in my hand (the whole novelty of actually opening presents and such...my family is weird.) and searching for decent traditional artists for almost a week now has been driving me up the wall. So I come to the guild to ask you all to drop some links of commissionable traditional artists if you know of any. Mostly ones that can draw a sexy woman well. But, I'd actually like to find someone who can do a grungy city-scape as well.
I'm doing this early cause some artists take awhile to draw things plus shipping and all that. And my family procrastinates so if I wave a perfectly compiled and easy to read list before their eyes, I'm good to go. If this post seems like I'm spoiled rotten..well. I am an artwhore and anyway I can get something pretty, I'm game.
Thank you to anyone who can help!
Edit: Also, only real money commissions please. I think that's obvious but I'm adding it just in case.

Dark Natasha - http://www.darknatasha.com/ Specializes in Animals/Anthros, but draws humans as well.
DMA - http://dma.furvect.com/ Specializes in Half-breeds (Mermaids, Weres, Fauns, etc...)
Gillian Pearce - http://whee.dk/gill/index.html Fantasy Artist... Been having Art thefts, so you need to contact him for full views of pictures. confused
GryphonHeart Studios - http://www.gryphonheartstudios.com/ Fantasy Artist (Links for the page are at the bottom.)
Kalika Furtago - http://kalika-futago.deviantart.com/ Unfortunately, just an anthro artist. (but as I know there is other's here with anthro chars, I'm posting the link. ^-^;; And Kali's a friend. 3nodding )
Kina-Ink - http://www.kina-ink.com/ Various
Lynn Smith (AKA: Ladyfoxglove) - http://www.lynntendo.com/ Also has a DA: http://ladyfoxglove.deviantart.com/
343GuiltySpark (Synister's Apprentice) - http://343guiltyspark.deviantart.com/ Last I heard he was taking commissions, but that may have changed lately. I know Syn is working on a huge backload himself. confused
Furiae - http://www.furiae.com/index.php Her artwork is featured on many pieces of clothing and more. The one design that most people recognize is in the Azure Catagory: Fifth picture down "The Melody Of Your Demise"
Tigerlily (GaianSN: TES) - http://www.livejournal.com/users/t_e_siberius/22250.html#cutid1 It's easier to pop up the info she posted on her journal than trying to find the page on her website... Since I need to remember her website before I can search. sweatdrop
But... that's the list I have of artist sites saved. I've talked to some of them, other's I just worship and wish I had the funds to commission. 3nodding

I was having a conversation with Jaded and I decided to see how many of my commissions are real money versus gaian. And there really is no point in this post but I was just curious about everyone elses. So how much of your collection is real money and how much is gaian (including contests)? And then a seperate catagory for freebies and gift art.
Mine is: 154 real money 94 gaian 58 gift/freebies
I started commissioning with real money by sue-chan for $10 a picture before I ever found gaia.
Edit: found three more real money commissions XD

Hahaha, almost alllllllll of my commissions are through contests. Barely anything was actually commissioned.
24 over Gaia, commissioned 103 over Gaia, art contests 6 real money commissions + 5 WIPs + 1 WIPThatWillNeverBeFinished:'( 1 art trade with someone on NWN
Edit: This, er... isn't including the stuff from the Wom Wom Coconut contest. That was an unofficial homigod ur engaged present for Holly >.>;
