Third Eye, open.

Upon untying his headband and tucking it away, Kidoumaru Kumo felt the eye upon his forehead open wide as he observed the conflicting events from afar. Truth be told, this would be a first, him fighting a dragon, but he had nothing against confronting the beast... After all, if it tore down this land, the opportunity of it going for his next was not something he would allow. While he had no desire to kill such a powerful and beautiful beast, if he was left with no other option, he would have no choice to do otherwise. He gagged suddenly, one hand reaching into his mouth before the first half of a golden bow appeared, and with a tug, the rest was soon upchucked as well. Wiping away a bit of saliva from the corner of his mouth, Kumo created a golden arrow as well as he nocked it into place, keeping the dragon within the view of his third eye as he raced through the tall grass, evading patches here and there that were already beginning to burn, growing into infernos.

Finally deciding that he would have to at least bring the dragon down to the ground to reduce the area that it would be able to lay siege to, Kumo took aim, the drill shaped arrow lining up with his sights as he targeted the joint where the wing would connect with the Shichibi's main body before he let the arrow fly, the projectile making a whirring noise, it's shape giving it a rapid spin - the secret to it's destructive power.

The shurikens heading towards Ranmaru worried everyone but Ranmaru. He took the shuriken, allowing them to hit him and bounce off. Ranmaru could take blades, they did not break his skin. He sighed. Maybe he needed something with a little more force. He smiled, it was good that Akira had put up that forcefield. Everyone in here could go all out without having to have to worry about destroying the village. He dropped the huge case that he was carrying on his back and snapped it open. It contained a large amount of weapons. Ranmaru simply took up the bow and arrow for now. "How thick is your skin, I wonder." He let loose the string, firing an arrow at the demon. After that he simply grabbed his hammer with ease.

Akira sighed. He was holding back the demon within. It always got restless when it was around a being of great power. Akira did not mind, if not for the fact that he was not supposed to be here in the first place. He brought out his Anbu swords, one of thing holding the feather known as the One Winged Angel. He sighed as he started running towards the beast, blades outstretched. HHe would attempt to stab the Demon in the chest with the blades.

Saizo finally got into action. He decided to take the risk, maybe see if he could find a weak spot. He focused his chakra into his hand, There was a chirping as a ball of lightning in his hand. Then Saizo split the technique between two hands. Then preformed the body flicker technique, using stealth to close the distance between himself and the demon before forcing both Raikiri's into the beasts chest.

More ninjas..More to burn..more to kill..More to eat..

The dragon smiled to himself when he thought about eating the ninjas. Why hadn't he done this before. He looked and he felt a ninja land on his back. That was the wrong choice. Nobody could maim this dragon..Especially to fly on command. However if he wanted to ride on him he would make sure that he got a ride. As the Dragon body went from the standard scales. It would transform into pure fire. However the fire wasn't red..it wasn't blue..the Dragon was White hot. As it looked it's attention was once again saw another member of that same ninja team. It dared to fly infront of him. Nobody challenged him in the air. NOBODY! The DRagon would fly towards the boy as fast as he could. As it saw the boy it would attempt to blow him away with his fire. It would quickly swing all of it's massive tail sending a large air blast towards the boy. Trying to knock him off his Flying axis. The Water Hit the dragon..but it only evaporated as it came close to him.
The Dragon only laughed at the girl who was coming at him. It only released a large torrent of fire balls towards her. The fireball would melt the ground around her. He wasn't going to hit her directly. Death would be a to rewarding for that ninja. He would let her live..only so she could see herself not defeating him.
That arrow. That arrow managed to hit it's wing right in the right spot sending the white hot Dragon spiraling downward into the ground. However it only barely touched the ground quickly recovering it self. However setting another a quater of the Hidden Grass Land on fire. THe Dragon only glared to who shot him like that. The arrow would melt...But it the Dragon's rage would only gain more.
The last attacks were futile. Almost suicidal But ninjas..they wanted to be remembered more than anything. The Dragon would allow for the attacks to connect just so they could hang onto his white hot skin. The Arrows would burn..the swords would melt. The raikiri wouldn't even work. The Dragon would let out a large toothy smile as it went to bite Akira in half. It smelt something that it didn't like inside of Akira. Maybe one of his brothers. The Dragon would fly towards Saizo..as fast as he could hoping to set him on fire with his speed. They couldn't stop him..He was getting hotter now.

As his arrow met it's mark, the faint outline of a smirk had appeared on as the Kidoumaru watched the dragon fall...

...Down...

...Down...

...Down...

...Over the village.

"s**t..."

Kumo retreated back several steps, a wave of heat and flames filling the area before him as the dragon nearly the ground. However, he had been so focused on his opponent that he had forgotten about one of the many little bonfires that had been formed during the Shichibi's initial assault. One of his arms passed over the flame and a hiss escaped him as he cursed his own carelessness. Gathering some chakra to the spot, he allowed a thin layer of gold to form over the burn. It wouldn't actually hear the seared spot, but it was better than running all over the place with an uncovered wound. He grunted soon however as his eyes returned to the dragon. Even from here, he could feel the heat that radiated from the beast... Heat that made him believe that if the dragon wanted to, he could've turned this entire area to ash if he so wished it.

And if that was true, then the beast was just playing with them...

He was also beginning to doubt whether or not his arrows would be able to pierce that heatwave that generally served as a barrier to the beast... However, he had to do something! With that, he made a series of handseals before pressing his hand to the ground. The earth rumbled and soon nearly a hundred earthen pillars burst from the ground, some appearing between the dragon and Saizo. While of course, he doubted the dragon would actually be stopped by the stone, if it was slowed, that would at least give it's target an extra second to get his a** out of the way.

It also gave his allies the option of not being caught on the ground... After all, in a land of grass and fields, it wouldn't take long until the fire likely spread. If that rang true, they would soon be fighting over a sea of flames.

Allowing his true form to finally show, Kidoumaru's skin became a grayish blue (think Gaia's dark elves, ladies and gents) as the steel wings appeared on his back, a great flap allowing the spider nin to take his place amongst one of the many pillars.

That moment was all that Saizo needed. He used the dust from the shifting earth to facilitate another body flicker technique. That was stupid, really stupid. He would be useless if the beast could do that at any time. The only attacks that he had that had any distance on them were fire attacks. Those would be a waste in this situation.

Akira reflexes were the only thing that saved him from being cut down in his prime. He lost his Anbu swords, but did not lose his life. He could feel the fire right to his face, searing his skin. His hands felt like they were gripping a hot stove instead of the handles of what was left of his swords. He removed the singed one winged angel from its home and simply applied it to another sword, before dropping his Anbu weapons. He needed to fight smarter from now on. While they were all trapped inside the closed space, the fire brought on after he activated it was contained. If he died in defeat, All of this damage would be realized. They needed to remove oxygen from the equation before this beast could be stopped. But Akira did not know how that could be done. Then he realized it. It was a long shot but it was all that he had.

Ranmaru was worried now. His weapons would burn in his fires. Ran did not know what to do about this. His back was to the wall on this one. He saw Akira looking towards him and wondered if he was thinking the same thing that Akira was thinking. Explosions eat oxygen faster than fire. Its what causes the short blast of fire in the first place. It was a waste against the dragon in its normal form, but in this form, it should weaken him, just like how the bakuhatsu would use explosions to stop major fires in the village. He had one thing going for him. There were so many people here, chances were the dragon was not looking his way at this point. He preformed a string of hand signs, preforming the technique that was the basis for his firestorm. Explosions with one focal point. bringing all of that chakra together into one ball before throwing it at Sachibi. If it hit, it would explode sucking out all the oxygen from Sachibi's flames. If it didn't Ranmaru would use his shut off switch to deactivate it before such could happen.

As the boat pulled up, Dawn and Knight rushed off of it. They had heard news that an attack of Hidden Grass was happening and they wanted to finally prove thier valor. They Wanted so bad to be ANBU so this is how they would show thier stripes until the next jounin tournement came around. They hoped that there were other ninja helping out, but not too much as to steal the show. Apparently this enemy was a fire type monster. They would surely burn him.

After the two twins ran off the boat, Hurdy emerged slowly and non-caring. He heard there was a fire enemy, and being as that was his new forte, he wanted to test it out. The sun burned high over his head and he felt it's power flow to him. He was in Hidden Grass after all, he couldn't garuntee it would remain un-singed. He was compressing his fire abilities on the boat, as not to burn it down, but now he let it out, a diameter of hot air followed him. He say two young ninja just run off, he himself would be thier shortly.

The Dragon seemed to only look at the stones as it started to fly back up quickly. The dragon glared at the stones. Melting stones were a bit harder..than setting the grass on fire. The grass on fire was simple it would cause a torrent of fire whenever he chose. However the stones would be a simple prerequisite to start a BBQ like the humans called them. The Dragon started to fly around in a large circle. As he did that the ashes that Dragon had caused started to heat the rocks. The ashes started to circulate the area and they would only start to super charge the rocks causing them to glow red with heat. The Dragon only stared at the Spiderboy who could now fly..that dared to shoot him.
However one thing did surprise him. He could feel the white hot fire leaving his body. He glanced over at one of the nins that he thought he ate. He looked at him and growled. He would die for sure now. Stealing the Dragon's Heat. However it just wasn't the boy who had managed to steal his heat. The Dragon was getting very angry. The Dragon looked at the fires that were alreadythere. The dragon looked at his opponents. They were going to cook.

It was just there in one moment asborbing the fire from the Dragon. At first the phoenix would be unseen..until the fire let loose and it exploded. The phoenix would float there. It's powers unknown to most humans...Most had never seen such an entity before.. THe phoenix only glared at the Dragon..had it not known that it was the creation..that IT WAS THE Spark of Life...That it was FIRE! The phoenix only glared as it decided to take the form of a human.
However none was deserving. She then sensed the fight in one woman. And one alone. She flew down to her..And into her chest. Tamao would be the Phoenix. And The Phoenix would be her..and for right now..there mission was to destroy the fire Dragon.

Already, Kumo was shifting uncomfortably as the rock beneath his feet grew hot. He flapped his wings, taking flight once more as he found the rock to be unbearable. He was airborne as he retreated, wishing to push as much distance between himself and the dragon as, truth be told, he was not very good when involved in close quarters. And with the oxygen levels lowering with every new fire that sprung up, a direct attack was the least of their problems. They were going to cook at this point... And yet... Something seemed very much wrong with the dragon.

Then, within the blink of an eye, it all happened.

An explosion rocked the area, and within a few silent moments, a new contender entered the battlefield... One that wasn't human. The avian form of flame remained there, floating in place for several seconds... Seconds in which no one seemed to utter a word. The bird than glided towards the ground burning... No... Entering, the both of one of the shinobi that had been fighting alongside the rest of them against the dragon.

Momentarily distracted from the fiery reptile, even Kumo had to admit, he was rather confused by this chain of events.

It was slow and subtle like the single drop of water that disturbed a placid lake, time seemed to slow twisting and warping. Was it just him or had time actually slowed down? Knox watched the dragon charge, but at the same time didn't feel worried, he could feel the echoing reverberations of his teammates souls. This was a power beyond even the advanced spiritual resonance, like this he might even be able to catch the two tails. Using his unique skill Wind Step, he spun out of the way of the flames a bursting snap like the popping of a balloon could be heard? was that the sound barrier? Strange rings of clouds formed around the Shichibi as Knox Wind Stepped through the demon's tails. His suit was glowing, naturally his kinetic armor purified his chakra making it more potent, but with not only Mei's Spirit Tuning abilities refining it further, he also had the support of their team leaders summon which boosted the power of ADV Spirit Tuning even further pushing his chakra into such a refined and pure state that his armor triggered Overkill, chakra jets opening and firing off his chakra now in a manifested form. He watched as the dragon fell, his body coursing with purified chakra. He looked further up and could see Momiji working on a new tactic he would aid shooting up farther into the air he began to use the attack he'd used on the dragon before to lend water to the storm he was creating.

A similar phenomenon erupted within Momiji pushing him into his Rider state as his body vanished in a cloud of steam as the Demon turned to flame. His body rose on the heated air created by the dragon. His body began to reform dripping black flames, black flames dripping from the skeletal body of rider still in it's liquid form. Raising his hands to the sky, Momiji began to draw in the smoke the debris, all of the dust and dirt this dragon had created with his attacks. His alchemy would bring the dust together bonding naturally with the water in the air creating clouds, lighting would begin to crackle around him as electrons were ripped loose and the storm began to charge over head, a huge alchemical array could be seen above as Momiji began to create a storm to douse the fires of the beast. With the addition of Knox's water element the storm clouds began to swell rapidly soon they would block out the sunlight spreading to cover the whole village. As Knox pumped water into the clouds and Momiji gathered the dust to create the clouds the battle would continue to rage on.

"Kyoshou-sama! You found us!"
Mei cried happily as their ally and mentor appeared upon the scene adding his power to their own. She began to use her unique skill Remix, too add the third melody of the Angel's Harp to her Spirit Tuning song, her guitar changing from a candy apple red to a neon pink color as the song changed, sound reverberated around her, with every stroke of her guitar spears were being launched towards the dragon. Normally the third melody, would create around ten spears per sound wave, but with Kyoshou's summon amplifying her attack three fold, waves of thirty spears were shooting at the dragon carried by the sound waves each time she strummed her guitar. Her song changed slightly even more as she began the process of syncing Kyoshou's soul with the other three of them, the only one who didn't seem to benefit from the power of her spirit tuning was Envy. He explained that he didn't have a soul to tune so techniques dealing with the spirit were useless to him. Envy maintained his post guarding the songstress as she relayed her power too the boys fighting in the sky and her mentor who guarded her on the ground.

User ImageKyoshou Kinuta...

Kyoshou winked at Mei, his fellow clan member. He spotted the final member of Team Rhapsody, Kumo Kidomaru, fire his barrage of strangely accurate arrows at the beast. "Hey Kumo! I don't suppose you have any chakra draining web do ya?" He shouted from afar. The best course of action didn't seem to destroy the demon but to limit its power. The kyuubi within Kyoshou growled in protest as he, knowing Kyoshou's thoughts, hated being locked up within a mortal. Now with the arrival of a second firey best, the land of Hidden Grass would soon become a shriveled wasteland. As Kyoshou began making a string of hand signs, he was pulling chakra from the nine-tails to make his next technique all the more potent. He pulled so much chakra that a silvery aura began radiating from him. Like liquid fire. "Zodiac Formation: Bird Technique" He muttered under his breath. Both the Phoenix and the Shibichi would feel a calming breeze slip in a swirl all around them, lulling them to sleep. The amount of chakra surged into this technique would surely be successful. It would hopefully incapacitate both beasts until the rest of them figured out how to seal of both of the monster's powers.

Hidden Grass

Tamao had continued her reckless charge forward, heedless of the threat the that lay directly in front of her. For a moment at least, the vast beast had nearly fallen to the ground. That meant it could be knocked down. That meant she had to got close enough to do so. If it would let her. Even as she was rapidly closing the distance to where the dragon was, it apparently took notice of her presence, and spat a volley of superheated air and fire just before her. She wasn't foolish enough to charge straight into those flames, so she halted her charge for a moment. Possibly not enough. As the heated orbs struck the earth, they melted the rock and practically vaporized the grass and dirt. A blast of superheated air nearly bowled her over, but she stood her ground. For how much longer, it was impossible to say. Already, the ground beneath her was getting hotter and hotter. Much more and she wouldn't even be able to remain standing without instantly igniting. She seemed trapped.

Just then, the very tension in the air broke, with a nearly audible snap. She raised her masked face to the sky, to see a new fiery being appear, as glorious in it's fire as the Shichibi was destructive. Again, somehow her presence was noticed, and before she had a chance to react, the fiery bird flew down at her at great speed. She likely couldn't have dodged even if she would have tried to. She flinched, expecting to instantly be incinerated. But instead, she felt the fire entering her, filling her, changing her. She threw her head back as the eye holes of her mask lit up from within, as her cloak incinerated into so much ash, as her hagoromo writhed and twined as a snake of fire, snapping it's molten maw at anything that moved.

The fire... it... it was power! She had never realized just how fierce a flame could blaze, just how high it's temperature and temper could soar! A heat to sear the sky, an inferno to roast the very nucleic bonds of life itself! In the beginning, there was darkness, and there was light. The light was fire, this fire! Tamao stood there unmoving for a long moment, seemingly oblivious to the landscape which grew to resemble hell itself. Her cloak had gone, revealing her hair, which even now flickered and flared like fire itself. Her mask remained, though it looked horribly scorched and blistered, like a remnant from a burning building. Her outfit, too, had changed, now shifting to a red and black design that compared to images of fiery destruction and the flames of creation itself. She was The Phoenix! Within her mind, that ancient entity crowded her own consciousness aside, it's wisdom of millennium far too much for a simple human mind to instantly adjust to. The Phoenix rose, fiery wings spreading far to the left and right. The air itself rushed in to her, almost like a vacuum, she had atomized all of the oxygen and created a void in the air pressure. Soon, the nearby flames, smoke and clean air swirled as it funneled toward her, swirling. The vortex ignited, becoming a raging tornado which then rushed forward like a thing alive, headed straight for the upstart Shichibi. How dare that baser creature seek freedom when a glorious and powerful being like she was still forced to hide within a primitive mortal shell! Impudence! She would show it what true fire could do, she would incinerate it's bones and feed upon the ash that was it's remainder! She let out a loud shriek, the cry of the attacking bird of prey, as she rode the center of the fiery maelstrom she had called forth. The tornado sucked up air and fire as it went, subsuming the Shichibi's fire and growing strong for it. It left a trail of molten earth in it's wake, a thick morass of lava similar to what lurked thousands of miles below the surface of the planet.

Dawn and Knight arrived as the pheonix entered the girl. That wasn't their problem. They needed to deal with the Flaming Dragon. Nodding at each other, Dawn entered Knight's body. Twin fusion. Knight then readied one of their made up jutsu, focusing the ink in his body to his palms. Inside of him, Dawn begun to focus large amount of chakara, knowing of two ways to defeat fire, and Water wasn't working. Knight charged and lept at the Dragon.

Hurdy finally arrived on the scene and watched as the twins that were on the boat with him charged the monster. He himself would use his own technique, Kaon: Flame Domination. An intensly hot aura would encompass him, making moving towards him nearly impossible unless aided by jutsu. He didn't mind about burning Hidden Grass to the ground, evidence in case, the trail of foot prints burnt into the ground. They trailed all the way back to the docks.

Ranmaru sighed. It had failed. The beast was more fire than He could burn out. Then he saw yet another flaming being enter the battlefield. He did not really know what was left to do. He could only assume at this point that the enemy of his enemy was his friend. Hopefully that was true. Looking around he preformed a string of handsigns, activating the lunar phase technique. The second thing that he would do is activate the Lunar destruction technique. Ranmaru sighed. He did not have much chakra left, but if that being had chakra in its system, it would burn out before Ranmaru did.

Akira was pissed. Nothing was working. He sighed. Why was he still holding back? The closed space was activated. Anything that happened on this battlefield would not hurt Hidden Grass, if Akira was not defeated. The Rokubi smiled inside Akira. He would get his way. He would gain control of Akira. However something else was inside Akira. Skye Orimara, the Rokubi's last host, and the being who had full control of the Rokubi during those times. "No you won't." A change went on within Akira, which no one would really be able to see, His eyes changed and his whole body was trembling. As Akira allowed the Rokubi to come out, Skye was taking control of his body so that the Rokubi could be in check. "Your flames won't hurt me like they hurt them, brother!" With that, Akira, under the Weasel Cloak punched out at Sachibi again and again and again. The flames burning him, but the weasel healing just as fast, and never tiring.
