Blood, you must love your games lol. Your always talking about a new game everytime you post a comment xp Not that its bad or anything. I love playing video games too, and would do that all day if I had the time. I wanted to buy the Wii or the nintendo DS ever since they came out, but I've got too many little brats running around. I'm afraid they'll break it lol.
Avalon Code sounds interisting. Keep telling me about these games your keeping me updated hehe biggrin

It's my main hobby. I want to be a writer and game designer when I get older. To me, gaming is an under-developed art form, so I want to push it ahead as far as I can.
Anyway, right now? Oragon Trail for the iPhone. It's an educational video game, of sorts. It's in the 1840's, during the great Gold Rush in America. You play as a family heading West, and you must keep your family together, keep your food supplies in order, and make sure your caravan doesn't break down. It's simple and addicting, and I can't seem to stop playing...

Nah, but I want to.
Currently, the Game Developers Conference is going on. It's when people in game development basically come meet each other, announce some stuff, hang out, and other things, including discussions. However, so far, the few notable things include anti-piracy measures on the Steam downloadable game service, a new Zelda game for the DS where Link rides a train (Seriously, Nintendo? A train?), and this new service where you can play games on another server and it sends the video to your computer in 1/1000th of a second (making it almost like playing the game WITHOUT the giant computer), therefore allowing for maximum settings, and an odd discussion with Japanese game developers involving Fallout 3 (the nuke game), which turned somewhat akward very quickly when someone said something stupid involving nukes by mistake.
Yeah, I'm REALLY into these things.
Once I get interested in a subject like WWII and nuking Japan, my philosophical side acts up. Might post more later, as I'm getting worn out. >_>;

Wow, sounds like you're really interisted in it. What keeping you from taking classes? Are you already going to school for something else?
I know what you mean. I hate when poeple say stupid things about races/religion/gender. I think there's a rule against talkig about this stuff so I'm not saying anything else about it...after this post sweatdrop

I don't have the time at the moment. I'll be out of high school soon, though, and that's what I plan on doing first!
The thing about the nuclear bombing of Japan is that, when you think about it, it would probably kill far less people than just invading. I'm not saying whether dropping the bomb was right or wrong, but the fact that civilians died is bad. 220,000 people died in the Hiroshima bombing, and millions suffered afterwards due to radiation. Skin would peel off just by pulling on it. Clothing marks from kimono's would get seared into the skin. People would be outcast from society because they are no longer 'normal,' and they would be practically ostracisized by their own countrymen. All because of a bomb that was dropped because it would both likely kill less people, AND that the government refused to give up and think of the people who make the country what it was.
There is no 'right' in war. There is only a victor and a loser. The victor is good, and the loser is evil. However, in the end, unless you're forced to fight, both sides are wrong. America was forced to attack Japan because they attacked us, so America decided to pay them back, with interest.
Soldiers are okay to kill, so long as it is honorable (You know, on a battlefield, without car bombs and such). Civilians are another story, however. They put civilians next to military bases, so the line was blurred.
Long story short: I think a lot of people would use the nuclear bomb in the same situation. Is it right? No. Is it understandable? Yes. Was there another choice that would have worked? Sadly, no.

That sounds so awful sad I hate any types of wars but I suppose they are necessary when defending your own land. Why can't we all just get along? *sappy line I know, but thats how I feel*

I could go over a trillion reasons why humanity can't achieve unity, but I'm tired and the list is freaking long, so I'm going to bed.

Wow this thread got pretty serious. I'm with you guys tho, war sucks, espically when its over something stupid. But life's not perfect, and I'm sure there will ALWAYS be some of kind of war going on somewhere. Kinda depressing when you think about it...
