Scooby Doo. burning_eyes
We're doing Scooby Doo and I'm a Believer this year. I really wanna go up to Concert Band, but I've got Trash Band when the practice is. D:
Also, when I first joined we did such a boring one. It was from Home Alone or something. It was minims the whole way through and reeeeaaaally slow.
And last year, when we first started Wilhelm Tell was evil. So fast and long and loadsa runs (or whatever they're called). And chromatic scales. >.> But it was frickin awesome.
And Live or Let Die was evil because basically nobody could do one section of it, so that's all we ever practiced. I could though, which made it worse. But I love that song. <3
What else have we done...
Everything else was good I think.

Hey now! Iron Man is pretty fun pep song to play! Not as cool as Frankenstein or Jungle Boogie but whatever. Haha.
Songs I'd like to burn:
Every overplayed marching band song ever.
I swear to god... If I have to listen to a band do Pirates of the Carribean, Wicked, or something along the lines of that, I'll burst.
Jesus... get some originality.
Movie scores in general. Simple and easy fact: The ones high schools play, are WAYYY watered down and sound terrible. God, how I'd love to burn every altered version of Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc.
I heard a band march October by Eric Whitacre as their CLOSER. Worst thing ever.
In general, I'd LOVE to burn pieces that have been freakishlky altered for stupid purposes.

Pep band may be fun, but it's not when people play crappily just because they know they song's tune.
And I agree. We shouldn't play altered versions of movies. It's embarassing.

Tricycle...I played this in 7th grade and I had an A the entire piece. Oh, wait, that's a lie, between the straight quarter notes there would be an occasional F# half note. We're playing a piece called Military March right now that I want to burn too, and the entire Foundations for Superior Performances book needs to go. domokun

Originality has nothing to do with it. Our band plays it because it's fun. And you should hear our horn do the Defying Gravity solo. It gives me chills, she's so good. Things to burn: --Songs of Sailor and Sea --Canticle of the Creatures
