I was lucky with my The Sims 2 there. The actual save data was in another area than the games directory, so when I re-installed it because of the HL BS, my neighborhoods and all that were still in-tact.
I have faced the OMGWTF one on one after I soloed Dead Man's Pass. I barely put a dent in its HP and the lag caused me to sit there while it wailed on me without being able to do crap about it.
What gets me though is there's an OMGWTF that's before it, but that's not the boss one you need to kill... OMGWTF? rofl
At least I got some loot for the trouble, so it's not a total loss.

I think I tried playing Fiesta once, but it never started up.

My room-mate failed to tell me he was leaving friday morning and wasnt to be back for the rest of the weekend
As a result, I didnt lock the door when I left on friday for the rest of the weekend, assuming he would be back once he got off work.
I'm somewhat less pissed since my roommate's PS2 controllers were also nabbed, since it is his fault this happened.

Cale, that really does suck.
Ask around, do some sleuth work. Unlike with being hacked, you can do more about that than the lazy a** mods on gaia can.

@Stellar: Played all of those. Still have XvT on my hard drive. I also have Sturmovik and its expansions. It is excellent.
