She sits in her room and she throws a kunai at her mirror shattering it into many peices and she curls up under her bed but can't sleep either. She growls and almost forgot that she needed to replace the bandages she had to rip off before when Ishira was there. She moved to her closet and opened a large draw that had nothing but rolls after rolls of bandages and replaced them. She washed her legs off with water and her arms where the cuts were and fixed the bandages back up and then put her oufit back on and headed back to the main dojo stopping in the hall and looking slowly for Reeve hoping he wouldn't catch her again around. She really didn't want him to know..... it was bad enough when Tutsumi had found out..... She had her bow on her back as well as her bag and she darted across the dojo and made her way outside jumping into a tree and staying partially hidden by the leaves to try and relax, which was failing horribly.

Iri almost lost her concentration when she heard Nyl's initial statement. Instead, she gets to her feet and gives her a respectful bow, the air still swirling in her carefully extended hand. When she straightens up, the winged girl is sheepishly grinning.
"Tis good to know that I have an understanding instructor! And it's true, I haven't been practicing. I would explain myself, but it's nothing other than a list of personal problems. So, how've you been?"

"Very busy. Though I can't say it hasn't been...satisfying." She returned the bow, standing straight again with a slightly more serious expression. "And how have you been?"
I knew it...there's no answer. ...It's true.

"I've been ill, though I think I'm over it. Must have caught some kind of virus while I was visiting my family." Iri gives a wing shrug. Then she gives her head that curious bird tilt. "Is something wrong, Nyl?"

Of course. But how do I ever say that?
"Nothing I can do anything about, Iri." Nyl was very careful to keep any sort of defeated tone out of her voice. "Your family?"

"Yes, I was at my family's place for a while, trying to keep things in order while my mother was ill. My father isn't useful around the house anymore, and no one's crazy enough to trust important affairs to my sisters, so I had to be called away quite suddenly to help out." She gives a bright, reassuring smile. "That's all over with, though."
Beneath that smile, Iri is feeling a touch of concern. Nothing she can do anything about? There's nothing in her tone that I can read, but her choice of words... Whatever it is, I'm sure Nyl can handle it solo. It would be rude to inquire any further, anyway.

"Well, like I said, sometimes there are things that get in the way of practice." She smiled again; despite everything, it felt good to be home. "And there are some things that are far more important."
The smile shifted to more of a grin. "Now that I'm back, however..."

That last statement really catches Iri's attention, that coupled with Nyl's grin. To her, it sounds mischievously ominous. Iri tilts her head again, an inquiring gesture. "Eh?"

"Time we both got back to work, right? Except..." Nyl turned slightly red, quite embarrassed at her own forgetfulness. "I sort of...forget what I was teaching you before I left. Care to remind me?"

"Of course!" Iri brings up the hand she was concentrating air and chakra into, cheerily grinning. Then she blinks. There's nothing in her palm. Now she's the embarassed one.
"Snap! I lost focus..."
With an 'oh wells' kind of sigh, Iri lets her hand drop back to her side and starts to talking. "You described it as a kind of bomb. It's a tiny and highly condensed ball of chakra and air. You also warned me that it can backfire if the bomb is set off incorrectly, acting as a bullet of air that can seriously injure the user."

Nyl snapped her fingers. "Right! Those. Well, get your focus back and start again."

"Okie dokie!"
Iri takes a deep breath, imagining all of her inner distractions being expelled with it. She brings her hand back up and allows chakra to trickle into her palm. The air starts to swirl and condense around the energy. Like before, she just keeps on making the ball tinier and tinier.
"How small do you want this thing to be?"

"Mmm...typically they're small enough to go unnoticed, but for the sake of practicing they don't have to be that size. ...Not much bigger than a large marble, though, or you lose the necessary pressure."

"Ah, gotcha."
At the same time, she's thinking to herself, I never did fix that problem of attracting too much air. That much is evident in how she's constantly diverting air away from the ball. It doesn't keep her from reaching her goal, though, and the ball is soon down to the necessary size.

Nyl noticed the air problem, too, but they could always deal with that later. "Okay. Hold it steady in the air, but back away. You don't want it going off in the palm of your hand, because if you did it right there won't be much hand left." That comment came from what the size of the thing appeared to be; an improperly-handled airbomb could take a couple fingers with it.
