Not far behind, Veronica entered the HQ and being focused on her Scyther, she bumped into Arthur. The bug catching game had been fun but as unfortunate as it sounded, there wasn't space in her team for Gawain. "Oh. You." She remember seeing his face once and again at the contest.

Maia stormed back into the HQ, her new Silcoon attached to her back. She was upset that she'd lost! That venonat was super epic! If she was the kind of person to cause a scene, she would have begun punching people when they took the pokemon away! Darn! She'd have to make a new plan. She dug around in her pockets. Gum wrapper... apple core... paper clip and a miniaturized premier ball. man, she was poor. One pokemon, no outside money and no Snag Coins... she should have been more fiscally responsible with the coins she'd stolen from Hawk.

...She did kinda feel bad. She was taking so much from him! But it would be worth it if she could get rid of that imposter. Speaking of things that would be worth it... She might have to take a chance at blowing her cover.. So, from her position in the doorway of the HQ, she'd promptly turn around and jog back out! She had a plan! While she left, she realized that she and her doppelganger had a tendency to stand in doorways...

Arthur nodded to her question. "Yes, the Orange Islands had a group running around a few islands where my family and I lived but they attack in groups. Difficult to catch one with a hundred others upon you." he said, referencing his old home. She thought his bug giving Lancelot a ride was cute and Arthur thought the same. Although a Ponyta or Blitzle would be a better steed. But whatever.

"What of you?" Arthur asked.

Arthur shrugged "Type weakness don't make or break the match." he said about her comment about disliking bugs. She probably hadn't met the Scythers near his home. A single one could challenge a Charzard and live. However when she brought the idea of a battle for a trade he quickly called his Pokemon and followed her. "Are you prepared Lancelot?" he asked his Treeko who nodded and jumped off his ride once they had found a fairly flat area fit for a good match. "Challange accepted." he told Veronica once he was sure his Treeko was ready

"I am Arthur. May I ask of yours?" Arthur asked for her name. When the match had begun he said "Counter." to his Treeko. Lancelot took a step to the side and grabbed Havocs arm. Luckily for them they were prepared for the Pokemon battle. Lancelot spun and threw the Riolu back to where he had been standing before the match. They couldn't go like that forever so Arthur said "Prepare to use Bullet Seed." The inside of Lancelot's mouth glowed a bright green as they waited for Veronica to make a move.

"The pleasure is mine." Arthur said in the formal way he always talked in. When the Riolu sent another Quick Attack at his Treeko he nodded to him. Lancelot opened his mouth the moment the Quick Attack hit him. Both attacks would hit both Pokemon at the same time, but fortunately Lancelot was a grass type so the Bullet Seed would hurt less. The Quick Attack, not so much.

Lancelot allowed the force to push him back instead of fighting it like any sane Pokemon. However this lessened te force taken by going with the flow. Arthur smiled as his Treeko stood steadfast, hurt but ready to fight nonetheless. "Giving a larger sword to a novice only does nothing. Yes your Riolu evolved, giving it more power but does nothing if he can't use it. Mega Drain." Arthur said as bubbles would fly off of Havoc and onto Lancelot, healing him while weakening the Lucario. His wounds dissapeared, as the duo waited for what the Lucario trainer Veronica threw next.
