Memo spat out cheerfully.
"Look look look!"
Memo showed Tommy his TADS. It read...
"In the news today: Cerulean City will now be holding it's first annual Pokemon Water Show, open to any and all trainers who think they got what it takes!..."

"I don't know how good i am at 'shows', but hey, could be fun!" Tommy beamed ecstatically, and went to get ready, first to his room to pack a spare change of clothes and other stuff, as well as heading to the PC. About 5 minutes later, he was ready. "Let's do this~~" Tommy chimed.

Memo nodded his head and grabbed his supplies. He ran to the PC and made some adjustments. Soon after he he was ready and we waved over to Tommy as he walked out the teleporter. He sent out Honchkrow, Covello and waited for Tommy.
"Ahh I'm so excited!"

"I bet you are, Mems." Tommy nodded, reaching the beach, and tossing out his Flygon. "See ya there!" Tommy immediately sped off towards Cerulean, trying to have Memo catch up.

Memo quickly caught up to Tommy and they sped off towards Cerulean City.
"So, Tommy, how have you been?"

"Pretty good, actually!" Tommy nudged Flygon on the opposite side of Memo. Flygon suddenly turned upside down, letting Tommy drop off easily. Tommy was sure it was to freak Memo out, and begun spinning and flipping on purpose, having fun as he helplessly dropped. Or so Memo might think.

Memo watched as Tommy fell towards the ocean and gave a comically shocked look at his Flygon.
"I assume your gonna help him..."
He gave the Flygon an odd, stern, and eyebrow lifted look. He was already to order his Honchkrow to rescue the boy.

Flygon seemingly grinned and shrugged, and right before Memo was going to order help, Flygon shot in front of them to block any possible movement to help Tommy.

just 50 feet from the water, Tommy pulled out his hoverboard, hopped on, and kept his nice and easy descent. "Surf!" Tommy released Swampert, who used Surf. Suddenly, there was a twenty foot wave right above Tommy, which he landed on, and- surprisingly- started surfing on. "Cowabunga!" Tommy shouted, grinning upwards towards Memo.

"W-Wow!"
Memo's eyes were wide with amazement. Tommy, once again, proved himself to be quite the shocker.
"Well well hehe. That was impressive, Tommy!"
As Memo and Tommy spoke for a bit more, they neared Cerulean City and Memo started his descent for the Cerulean Gym.

The wave finally diminished. In this process, Tommy whistled for Flygon to fly on over. At the same time, Swampert appeared, and Tommy did a flip manuever, putting his hoverboard into his bag, and landed on Swampert, then, in the same fluid motion, flipped and somersaulted in the air, pulling Swampert's ball from his belt and returning his beloved mudfish, landing in a sitting position on his Flygon's back.
As soon as this action was completed, Flygon sped up, and somehow reached the beach before Memo and his Honchcrow, Covello. Tommy stood up, still on his Dragon's back, and air surfed. When Tommy reached the beach, he back flipped off, while returning his Flygon, and landed on the beach on all fours, kind of like a frog about to jump, or a... ninja dog?

Memo couldn't help but applaud the boy.
"Practicing for something? Hehe."
Memo simply jumped off his Honchkrow with a breeze of grace and returned him.
"So here we go, ya ready?"

"Not really." Tommy answered. "It's just really fun to do flips. Although it could be training for something! With that, Tommy broke into a chuckling fit. Soon, the lauging subsided, and Tommy wiped his eyes when he was fished. "Ook. Let's go." Tommy waited for Memo to lead the way.

"Ahehe. Let's go."
Memo walked with a skip in his step to the gym, and walked inside with an excited smile. The crowd was immense! The gym's pool had been raised up so that it was now an aquarium filled with picturesque coral and many decorative shells and plants.
"Are you guys entering in the Show?"
Daisy, one of Misty's sisters approached Tommy and Memo excitedly seeing the 2 young boys.
"Yes maam hehe."
"Then follow me!"
She grabbed the 2 boys and yanked them to the backstage area and there they were grouped together with a group of trainers.

Tommy wasn't too sure what had just happened. "Uhm, who WAS that?" Tommy asked in general instead of to just Memo, and proceeded to trot off towards the lady who had just dragged him and Memo into the room of trainers. "Uhm, excuse me, ma'am? How many pokemon can participate per trainer?"

Memo was giddy as he stood along with Tommy and the rest of the group. Daisy stood up on a bench and addressed all the trainers.
"Like okay! Listen up everyone! I'm Daisy, like one of Misty's sisters haha. Today you guys totally entered in our Water Show and here the rules and such. All trainers are allowed one pokemon and it has to a water type."
Memo playfully nudged Tommy to listen.
"So today the main objective is to impress Misty with your skills as a top notch trainer haha!
Daisy played with her and Memo, unknowingly, did the same.
"So like go to the dressing room and get ready for a show that showcases your creative skills and and your on your feet thinking!"
The group of trainers were shoved off by Daisy to the costume room where tons of decorative mermaid/merman costumes were stocked.
