*The Seraphim.... He knew it. He KNEW it. Luke's eyes closed. But they're okay. As Maggie and Bard both say, they're okay... Luke has to turn around for a moment to run a hand down his face.*
*He turns back to Maggie. God, the son of a b***h tore her apart.*
*Still not saying anything - for fear of what he would say. Luke so worked up that he can't stand still. He goes back to the bar and grabs the nearest two towels from underneath. He runs them under warm water....*

:::Kara fades into the Brink reaching for something, she seems to have succesfully grabbed it just before fading it, because it came with her.
She looked and saw a bunch of her favorite people huddled around... She put her free hand on her hip::::

:::K hears a voice that is undoubtedly his sisters. He turns on heel and runs over to her. He snatches what's in her hand, and runs back to Maggie.
He calls over his shoulder at her:::
Go home Kara!

Aye . . *Maggie nods slowly. She's still numb from the encounter, but now that the adrenaline is draining from her system, now that she knows her son is safe, and she's among friends again, it's starting to sink in*
He . . . he tried te . . *she trembles visibly, and closes her eyes, seeing the events of the past hour or so in her time flash in front of them* But . . Tavin was there, somehow . . . and he . . . but the Seraphim . . . *her voice breaks* Oh, God . . . he tried te take my son!

*Bard kneels beside Maggie, wanting to put his arms around her, but afraid he'll hurt her. His heart is hammering, his head torn between confusion, worry and rage. That b*****d will die. I will kill him a thousand times if I have to.*

*From across the way, Luke hears Maggie's cry.*
*With a thought process that is one part bravery and two parts stupid, Luke thinks about nothing but tearing that son of a b***h limb from limb. He tried to take Maggie's kid. That son of a b***h crossed a LINE. For a moment, red bleeds into his vision.*
*Luke physically shakes it away. He looks down at the warm towels in his hands. Right.... Maggie's got battle scars.*
*He goes over with the towels to Bard, K, and Maggie. He looks at Kara, noticing that she faded in, but he quickly turns back to the situation at hand.*
*He glances at what K has in his hand, before he hands one of the towels out to Bard.* Here...

*Maggie barely registers Kara's presence. What would have been unnerving and embarrassing for her before is now hardly a blip on her emotional radar*
Tavin was there but . . . not from the Brink, he . . . he didna know me . . . but he still . . . *she swallows, trying to get a hold of herself, but it's too late to go back to being detached now. She wraps her arms around herself, almost as though she could contain all her feelings within her that way. Tears fill her eyes, she looks horrified and relieved and furious all at once*

*Maggie feels Bard's arms close around her, and she can't hold back anymore. She starts to cry, clutching on to him as though she were hanging on for dear life. What happened was so terrifying, but she couldn't let herself give in to that at the time. Now it hits her in full force, all that fear, all her rage towards the Seraphim, and just an overwhelming gratitude to have survived, to know that her son is alright*

*Luke dismissively and with a little force shrugs Kara off.* *says in a strained, irritated tone* Christ, you'll learn in a minute...
*Luke watches Maggie burst into tears. But Bard's holding her... and though she's sustained injury.... She's in good hands.*
*Though Bard's got in under control, Luke puts a hand against Maggie's back... He holds it there for a moment....*
*Luke takes back his hand. He looks to K, motions to back up.... Luke turns to go back to the bar.*

:::K stood up as well to leave Bard to take care of Maggie. Of course he'd be near by if the needed anything else. He saw Luke stand up and walk over to the bar, and was about to do the same when he saw Kara huffing mad:::
