*Chris was even stiffer the next day. He was going to have to hit the whirlpools in the locker room of the gym. But first, classes. The day drug on slowly with the only interesting thing happening in Professor Prince's class. Usually she gave him several cross looks during class(Chris assumed it was because he was dating Cassie) but today she seemed distracted.
Chris gave it no more mind and headed towards the gym. The whirlpool was calling his name.*

Meanwhile...by the lake...
*Mary Jane Watson, the English II teacher, strolled along the lake. She had a free period and loved it by the water. She was suddenly distracted by something in the treeline above the lake. Was that a....no...couldn't be. But the ever curious MJ hiked up the slope and peered into the trees. Suddenly, a furry arm shot out and pulled into the woods. She was about to scream when a voice rumbled.*
I would suggest you don't scream, Miss Watson. And yes, I know all the teachers on sight.
W-what do you want?
Just some news. Where's Barry Allen?
He's on a sabbatical.
Damn. Well I can still have my revenge on this school. Tell me, Miss Watson, when and where is this "Halloween party" that I have overheard students talk about?
Leave the students alone!
They prattle on such much when they pass by these woods but never about the where or the when. TELL ME!
*MJ felt as if someone her cracked open her school and was reaching inside her brain.*
This S-saturday evening. In the new gym!
Excellent. Now, run along. And forget you saw me.
*MJ blinked. Why was she in the woods above the lake? And where had this headache come from? The beautiful English teacher picked her way clear of the trees and headed back towards school.*

*Dani was on her way to class when Security Officer Pezzini stopped her mid step with a hand on her shoulder.*
"Miss Baptistse. May I have a word with you in my office."
"Sara? Geez, what's with the formalities. You've known me since I was 6. Dani is fine."
Sara: "Dani, Please come with me. This is not a conversation over other's to hear."
*Confused and slightly anxious she was led away to Sara's office. There she found Dr. Qunizell waiting.*
*Sitting down she asks*
"What's going on? What's this all about?"
Sara: "Dani, It's alright. We know what's going on. With Teddy. And some of the reasons's you may be hurting your self."
"Yeah, puddin' I had some guy troubles too for a long while. But that's no reason to go an' slice yourself."
"What?" Dani was shocked. "No I didn't do this to myself! It was an accident."
Sara: "C'mon Dani. I was a cop long before I took this gig." Sara said seriously. "I know about your parents divorce. And about Teddy dumping you for a boy. It's all around campus. And I know you're using Witchblade to do it."
Harley: " 'Sides, sweetcakes. the Med report said your friends found you in your room after you cut classes, and your BF kicked ya to the curb! You'd lost so much blood when they brought you in you where out cold."
Dani was stunned into silence, "That's not what happened!" She started to get angry. "We were all Just--" Then she stopped herself. If she said anything she could risk getting her friends in trouble and that was one thing some of then couldn't afford. Damiit!
Harley: "So you and me will be seeing a lot more of each other. k, puddin? like say three times a week. Till we Get it aaaalll sorted out. KK?"
Dani shook her head in disbelief.
Sara: "I'll be keeping a very close eye on you Danielle, Making sure you'r not hurting yourself. That's all for now. I love you Dani, so take care of yourself."
Dani got up to leave, and just before stepping out. Sara called to her.
"Oh! And Dani... Don't use the Witchblade anymore. If you do I'll know." Sara said, pointing to her own half of the artifact.

Cassie's dreams gave her no rest that night. In her dreams she was back in the Nexus: Donna, Diana,Clark and Bruce were all there.. Things in the Nexus were all attempting to smash together. Cassie was battle a dark figure who's face she couldn't see and she didn't fare to well.. she was about to be killed when... she woke up in a cold sweat.
" Holy Hera!"
She looked at the phone and saw the text from last night from Chris. Cassie thought that she should meet up with him later as she went inot the bathroom and took a shower.

*Chris waddled from the locker room to the whirlpools used by the athletic teams after games and practices. Lord, his legs HURT. He set down the book along with his cell phone he had brought and eased into the hot, swirling water.*

*He picked up the book, found his place, and started reading.*

The owl pecks at the window again and it lifts it's leg with the small paper towel attached as a note.

Cassie takes the note off of the owl then opens up the window again to let the owl fly off. She gently unrolls the paper towel.

Dearest sister,
Pardon the owl. A trick I learned from that moo-vee we watched, Harry Potter. Pallas Athena was glad to help. The journey goes well. It is rougher than I anticipated, but what is growth without challenge? I had started in the woodlands, but now I have moved on to a town I know not the name of. I was in a jail for a day between. Noone told me that bathing in park lakes was illegal in this time. Please sister, you are not to blame for this journey I take. My mind was in torment over losing Patroclus and Wally so close together. Hartley's comment had almost sent me to the brink, where I literally wished him dead by my hands. I knew then I had to do this. I hope to return to your side soon. Please give my love to Christopher and Danielle. And Mysia as well. I hope she is adjusting well without me there for now.

Cassie smiled and left the note out on her desk so that Danielle could read it as well. Cassandra then walked out to Mysia stable with lots of fruits and vegetables for the elephant she bathed her and talked to the elephant.
"Do not worry Mysia. Achilles will return soon.. he has not forgotten about us."
Mysia blows her trunk and Cassie gives her a hug.
"I know... I miss him too..."

Not being assigned a dorm yet Bart had to spend another night in a hotel room. Boy that Mr.Wayne sure was slow. Still he went to his classes though out the day and then afterwards sat down on a bench near the field doing homework.

Naturally, once launched, no force in the universe can hope to reverse hot tub cannonball, no matter how potentially awkward the landing. Indeed, it was about to be a harsh lesson in "look before you leap."

*A Virgil-sized cannonball was flying at him! Get out! Chris screamed at himself. Too late. Virgil-ball hit and the resulting wave lifted Chris out of the whirlpool and down on the concrete.*
