The T-Hawk isn't powered by anti-gravity plates though, it uses engines and limited VTOL capabilities. You can check by comparing the bottoms of the aircraft. The Land Speeder and Caestus share the same bottom with distinctive anti-grav plates.

Did some early Christmas shopping today. I got my brother a Raider action figure. He likes Snake and hates the soddy blond c**t, so he's getting that one for his collection. I got my dad a Flames of War IS-2, should go nicely with his little Panther.

I should probably create a decorative stand for them. Maybe have one of them with the turret blown off for good measure.

The IS-2 looks like it could take on a few Panthers at once. Obvious winner there.

surprisingly enough Soviets formed some regiments of captured Panthers... and French were using them until mid-1950s when tested against Panther, IS-2 122m round went thru front armor, entire tank, and thru the back armor... It depended though on accuracy and crew skill where Germans usually had the edge.

Yes, the Russians had inexperienced crews for the most part, who still relied on the "hen and chicks" tactic of attacking. Germany had superior training for the most part, but Russia kinda ruined that with their mass-wave tactics. The first encounter between the IS-2 and German tanks (the stupidly overrated King Tiger) resulted in all IS-2's wiped out at the cost of a few enemy tanks. The general staff deemed it a success though, seeing as the IS-2 could kill the Tiger II in a straight front to front slug match.
Mind you, even the Humble Panther could take out the IS-2 with its 75mm gun. I'd like to think them more or less evenly matched. Maybe I should run a few games with them, see who comes out on top.

Germans greatest successes of 1939-1941 were carried on the backs of Pz I and Pz II, barely counting as light tanks!

Of course, there's always more. There is no such thing as the perfect engagement. Unless your name is Erwin or Bernard. wink
Just for fun, here are the Flames of War stats for both the IS-2 and the Panther:
The IS-2 has Fully-tracked mobility, but is a slow tank reducing its normal cross-country movement to 8”/20cm. It has excellent armour: Front 10, Side 8 and Top 2. It is armed with the 122mm D-25T gun with a range of 32”/80cm, ROF 1, Anti-tank 15 and Firepower 2+. In Addition it has a Co-ax and a Turret rear machine-gun and a .50cal AA MG (12.7mm DShK) can be added for +5 points per tank.
They are Fully-tracked with the Wide tracks special rule, making them hard to Bog Down. They have Front armour 10, Side armour 5 and Top armour 1. Their KwK42 gun sends terror through any Allied commander with a Range of 32”/80cm, ROF 2, AT 14 and FP 3+. In addition they have Co-ax and Hull MGs.

Mmm... WW2 Tanks. I found it all so very interesting how they faught each other.
I much prefer the skies in WW2, but tank warfare is very interesting.
Pretty curious to see how it would go these days on the WW2 scale of things. Especially with such good anti-tank weaponry in modern armies.
