he stopped Writhing but was still gritting his teeth hard
he yelped sharply again and curled in to a tight ball

She held him close hoping to help with the pain.
He continued to stroke his hair.

he gripped his head a little
"Nate..." he said softly "go home... to the kids, make sure there ok..."
he came in "Maki... are you ready?" he asked softly
he nodded a little and kissed Nate "I'll be fine, come back tomorrow, please"

"please... bring them back" he said softly "you'll be back before I'm even out of surgery"
he let the boys finish there goodbyes before wheeling Maki off to the surgery room

"Okay." He kissed Maki before he was wheeled away. He sat down in a chair in the room his head in his hands. He was scared for Maki. He felt empty with out him in his arms.
He gave his brother a hug before he was taken to surgery and then went into the room to get Nate. "Lets go home." He stood in the doorway.
He stood and wiped his face on his sweater. "Yeah." He walked towards Kent and they walked out to the car.
He draped his arm over Nates shoulders. "I;m scared for him to." He whispered.

his pain was subsiding a little and looked up at her, sniffing a little
she said, waiting for them

"Is it getting worse?" She asked softly. And kissed his forehead.
The drive home was quiet and seemed shorter. He walked up to the house slowly as he watched Nate almost run in.
When they got home he rushed into the house and up to his room. He didn't to be alone but the one person he wanted to be with wasn't there.

she ran to Kent "babe... how is he? what's going on?"
"no..." he said softly "he... he's going in to surgery now..." he looked up "we have to go" he scrambled out of bed and got dressed

"They took him into surgery. From the sound of it Nate didn't take the news too badly. He's scared more then anything." He wrapped her into his arms.
"Roy we can't do anything now. Who knows how long he'll be in surgery." She got up and walked over to him. She placed her hands on his cheeks. "We'll be there for when he comes out."

"I'm not leaving my brother there alone" he said softly and took her hands in his, bringing them down from his face
she snuggled in to him and said nothing

She sighed softly and wrapped her arms around him, her head rested on his chest. "I don't want to leave him alone there either."
He felt a little bette with her in his arms. But he would feel better once Maki was better again.

he sighed as he felt the pressure in his head going away "he'll be out soon... the pressure's getting better... we should go now"

"Okay." She looked up at him and then slowly let him go.
He went into the nursery and started to bet the dipper bags ready.
"Lets go get everyone ready to leave. We'll wan to be there when he gets out of surgery."

she nodded and headed up stairs again
he pulled on a shirt and went to help Nate get the babies ready
