Streamjumper MegamanPsy Is anyone up for fishing at Durem? Nah... I'm craving a little Civ III... If enough people here expressed interest, I'd look into gettin the Play the World expansion so I could play against you all online. Civ ******** OWNS... even Civ two is still better than at least 95% of the games out there. And its something like 15 years old or so. Hmmm...If you got that, I might be tempted to as well. I mean, I love the civ games, especially Alpha Centauri. I haven't played a lot of Civ III, but I own the game and would get the expansion if I had cause to.

Streamjumper Dot, I'm sorry about your ancestors, but I had to wipe their goody asses off the face of the planet sometime around 600 AD. They started ******** with my French civilization sometime around 700 BC because a few of their cities defected to the French empire due to superior cultural advancements... And I guess their leaders just couldn't handle it. I tried just beating em into submission (which usually works with the English), but after 700 years of them breaking treaties, I had to initiate the pogrom. As usual, the Iriquois and the Aztecs fell in line with my policies and declined ******** with me in the least. England and Egypt survived only in the form of single capitol cities kept surounded by my civilization... as a sick sort of zoo exhibit. You play France? Now, I'm not terribly familiar with Civ III, but in Civ II I always took the Greeks.

Tsukasa Elric Zelyhon Tsukasa Elric There hasn't been a new episode of Mahou Sensei Negima for quite a while... Which reminds me I need to watch the episodes I've already got. sweatdrop AC's just been reeeeeeeeeeally slow for a while now. Ah well. I want them to get to the Kyoto trip already! scream ... Yeah, I should definatly watch the episodes I have. sweatdrop I can't actually remember what episode I've watched up to... Guess that means I'll have to watch it from the beginning. surprised And I bought the last two volumes of Love Hina yesterday. Still need to read the end-end chapters, which I'll probably do later on. But, I think Love Hina's a great comic. heart Indeed it is. I've got the whole series and am collecting the Negima manga as it comes out. I'm really enjoying that too.

I often play as Chinese, Japanese, Iriquois, Americans, Persians, and Japanese.

As far asw I could tell in II, the only difference was type of buildings and that sort of stuff. And I need to play more of those, especially if we're going to all be playing. I'm a bit out of practice.

I'm a bit out of practice. In 3 each country gets 2 of six traits. Expansionist - Start with a scout in addition to a worker and a settler. Barbarian vilages are more likely to be friendly. Industrious - Workers work faster, center of cities and metros produces an extra shield Religious - No anarchy during govenrment system change. Easier to build religious improvements Scientific - Free advancement at the beginning of each era, easier to build scientific advancements Militaristic - Easier to build military improvements, units acrue experience faster. Commercial - Center of cities and metros produce one more commerce, less corruption. Each culture gets one military unit that is an upgrade of the usual. For example, America gets F-16s instead of Jet Fighters, India gets war elephants rather than knights, Japan gets Samurai istead of knights, and Germany gets Panzers rather than tanks... (panzers can attack multiple times per turn, til their movement is used up) On of the big differences is that changes things is that settlers have been divided into two separate units... Settlers and workers. Settlers can only start new cities and workers are much cheaper and do all the teraforming.

I'll have to give them a shot. Which civilizations had industrious and scientific?
