Assuming you dont mind the chance you could get kicked by a skittish horse, theres good money to be made as a ferrier.

I'd like to learn to make chainmail as well. And not just make it, but train in the use of it as well. That way, when the apocalypse comes I'll be able to claw my way to the top.

I've made it with another smith, but not by myself. I don't have quite enough knowledge of it yet, sadly. But I agree it is quite strong and much lighter than my chainmail.
