yea I was in like three accidents in a week once but i got used to driving again

Well, it was a bunch of little things that added up to a big thing. For starters, my Driver's Ed instructor when I was 16 was an a**. He basically verbally sexually harassed me when we were alone in the car. Add that to the fact that I was very unsure of myself at that age, and wasn't a very good driver to begin with, and the whole experience was pretty horrible. Then about a year later, my father bought me this huge boat of a car with power nothing and the first time I drove it, I stalled in the middle of an intersection. And about two days later I rear ended a pickup truck. I haven't driven since. xp

But I want to work on it, because I'm 30 years old and I'm tired of depending on other people to meet my basic need for transportaion. Hence, the book.

WOW Ananda you had alot against you in a short amount of time. I would suggest baby steps, maybe around the block first few time, NO HIGHWAYS!

Yeah. If I had made myself get back in the car and drive after my accident, I would have been fine, but, like I said, I was very unsure of myself at that age. So I let the fear get the best of me, and over the last 13 years, what should have been a minor setback has become this huge....thing in my head. I literally can't even think about driving without getting sick. I tried to read my husband's driver's ed book from a defensive driving class he had to take. I had to put it down after reading two pages, cause it almost gave me a panic attack.
