he was holding just above his right eye

"Okay. See you soon." she hung up the phone. "Be ready to leave when they get here. Kents taking you up to the hospital.' she didn't have time for his questions, she ran up stairs and to the bathroom for a hot compress. She sat on the bed next to Roy and pulled him close and placed the cloth on his forehead after pulling his hands away from his face. She ran her fingers through his hair hoping it would help some.
He watched her leave before he could speak. He went back to the living room and slipped his shoes on. It was as ready as he needed to be.
"Was that Roy I heard?" He was confused.

"yeah... I think he's channling Maki's pain so Maki can finally have a sound sleep" she said softly
he squirmed a little, gritting his teeth but he wasn't lashing out or howling any more

A few tears slipped from her eyes. She hated to see him like this. The worst part was that she knew it wasn't his pain he was feeling.
He sighed and pulled into the drive way. "Send nate out. I'll see you later." He leaned over and kissed her softly.

she kissed him back and nodded "I love you" she headed inside and whipped her face "Nate... Kent's here to take you to the hospital now"
he woke up again "Maki..." he shook his head a little "he... has a tumer... in his brain..." he said softly and held his head

Her hand flew to her mouth. After a few moments she dropped her hand and kissed his temple and cradled him in her arms.
"I love you too." He was focusing on keeping himself calm.
He jumped up from the couch as the door opened. "Rin?..... How .. how is he?" He wanted to know.

she bit her lip "just... go with Kent... you'll see" she hugged him tightly
a few more tears slid from his eyes "my brother has a brain tumer..." he said softly

She was crying with him.
he hugged her back. Worry shot through him. He walked out to the car and got in the front seat with Kent. He didn't know what to do or say.
He didn't say anything and he pulled away from the house again. he could feel, let a lone, smell Nates fear.

she felt sorry for him as she walked up stairs
he shook his head a little as he cried "he's... he's in a lot of pain but... I think I help take some away from him..."

"I don't like seeing you like this." She said through tears.
"Whats going on Kent?" He couldn't stay quiet any longer. But he couldn't look at him either.
"He wants to tell you himself." He feel himself getting choked up.

She had to keep herself from sobbing. She buried her face in his neck, she felt helpless wanting to help them.
He parked in almost the same spot as before. "Come on. He wants to see you." He got out of the car. Keys in his hand.
He got out silently and followed Kent.

He figured out what room he was going to and jogged into the room. He stopped in the door way. Maki was playing with his IV. Tears formed in his eyes to see him like that.
He stayed just outside the room to give them time.
