The reason that most of you will never, ever get laid is because you treat girls the same way you treated them when you were five! What is it? Are you afraid of "cooties" or some bullshit like that? [END RANT] As far as Johnson is concerned, He's a Spartan-I, but he ALSO developed Boren's Syndrom. His Spartan-I augmentations allowed him to survive the disease. As for surviving the Flood, he didn't escape entirely without harm. Dormant flood cells were released into his blood giving him, and I quote "curious regenerative capabilities". Wolfe, as Sexy said you are BOTH right. As for ODSTs, the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper is cool, but their applications in a non-wartime environment are extremely limited. All current ODSTs are stationed aboard the ships above Harvest with orders to STAND DOWN. The regular Marines do most of the heavy lifting, see the most action, and do the most work. And frankly, if it was up to me, you'd have to get a 90% on your test to be granted ODST status. Of course, I'm just a member again, so it's not up to me. ODSTs are not a conventional fighting force. They are like the SAS or the NAVY SEALs. Their jobs are unconventional warfare, deep surveilance, etc. Not all-out fighting. Regular Marine units also have special forces units, as that is where the ranks of all ODSTs are culled from. If I had my way, the number of ODSTs would be mostly static with an increase in number of only one persone every two months. I don't understand why everyone hates being a Marine so much.

Hege, I don't think your "[END RANT]" was in the correct spot. :U As for the whole deal that just happened, I could really care less. I'm used to how guys act, for I hang out with a bunch of them quite regularly during the school year.
Also, the only difference I can really find between an ODST and a Marine, is the fact that they get shot out of ships in their HEVs, and are a little crazy. I don't see any reason as to why everyone seems to want to be one.

I applied for ODSTs for the view given of it. Volunteer-job, SOEIV insertions, ladies...
I don't give a crap if Jokinen doesn't get inserted in this RP or the next one, or the one following it...
My RPC is ODST and I will stick to it. If you want action for action's sake alone, just go for marine. There's plenty of it. The RP-writers have to think the story, too, not everyone's desire to be both badass and in action all the time.

Hedge, I remember seeing some sort of Halo sourced art showing [Marines?] jumping from a Pelican with [Parachutes?]. It used a lot of contrast and was set within [orange?] clouds. Within your knowledge is this official material?
